The quest for knowledge will always keep you afloat.

The book represents knowledge.

The couch and cup of lipton represents relaxation.

If she relaxes in life, she will be drowned in oblivion and ignorance.

But the move she has been making to seek for more knowledge has kept her head above the water and has saved her from being drowned.

In life, the quest for more knowledge should be a daily routine. There is no room to relax, things will continue to change and it's our obligation as humans to survive this change through constantly seeking for more knowledge. What has kept us afloat yesterday may not save us today, so we keep reaching out for greater height by reaching out for more knowledge.

Maybe yesterday, the height of oblivion(water) was just below the level of that table and couch, and she can comfortably relax with her Lipton, but today the height has increased, to survive, she has to get up and reach for higher knowledge.
