AutosRe: Do You Know Your Tyre Has An Expiry Date? by chybosky: 4:31am On Mar 19, 2016
davodyguy:
Doesn't really matter to some people and I'll tell the reason why
To a very careful and cautious driver, he would pay attention to the tyres and change them as and when due. However, using the tyres beyond 4 years doesn't mean the car will not move or have accident.

Take a look at Tokunbo cars that are over 10 years old, the tyres aren't brand new when we bring them into Nigeria. But will they have accident cosof tyres? Not necessarily.

The average life span of some machines are 25 years, but a Zord printing machine manufactured in 1970 is still working till date (2016) cos it has been overhauled and renewed as new.

Same way Aircrafts that are over 30 years old still flying in the air. Once adequate maintenance are done, everything's fine.

A 2 year old tyre can kill you due to a burst at a top speed of 160kmph on 3rd mainland bridge or other highway(s)

Just be careful to check the tyre PSI regularly as well as wear and tear. Once a tyre is bent from the wheel and its wearing out, change it
i agree with u 100% because most of us dont even use brand new self......
