Properties › Re: My Landlord Is Frustrating My Life by ChybuzzDD(m): 4:59am On Oct 12, 2025 |
Obavoh: The Rules and Regulations in this house is too much.
1. We must call the Landlord and Landlady Daddy&Mummy.
2. Wake up by 5.30AM for Compound Devotion.
3. Each room will take turn to sweep compound and wash toilet/bathroom. You must clean and sweep morning, afternoon and evening.
4. We must not fry palm oil inside kitchen because Daddy Landlord’s wife has asthma. Even if mummy Landlady is not in the compound, don’t fry palm oil !
5. We are not allowed to cook with gas, only kerosene or charcoal.
6. Daddy Landlord will use his special padlock to lock the gate by 9.00PM. God help you if you’re not inside the house by that time, you will knock and Landlord family will not open. No Tenant has spare key.
7. I am sharing the room with my wife and 7 children. I cannot be romantic to my wife in the room so my wife and I started bathing together early in the morning. Daddy Landlord called compound meeting to harass my wife and I because of this.
8. No playing of worldly music in the compound. No loud sound at all. Your television set volume should be very low. My children cannot laugh or play in the compound.
My biggest regret is that I paid 1½ Year rent because I was desperate to rent a house for my family and no Landlord wanted to accommodate a family of 9. We still have 8 months until the rent expires.
I am currently working in another town but my wife is always complaining about Daddy&Mummy Landlord. My children are not happy in that house. If not for bandits, I would have moved them back to the village. Obavoh, Obavoh! He appears when you least expect him! |

Ramon92: This is not about religion (they dont give a damn about that), it's about power, politics and advancing their own interests where they see fit. The same American Christians supporting the killing of Muslims in Gaza here saying nonsense.
They see Nigeria is gradually recovering and will soon pose a threat to their political and economic hegemony in Africa, in a near future multipolar world where their powers are gradually fading and Nigeria, has its always been, it's in a position to become a regional powerhouse.
They nearly succeeded with ethnicity as a violent weapon in the 1960s and 70s but we showed our resilience and after it became a mental war when that didn't work like in other African countries.
On our path to recovery, they gave us SAP in the 80s as a poisonous gift which finally crippled us. MKO Abiola saw this and he became a threat to their interests, religious sentiments were involved and the rest is history.
Now another dispensation is here that's putting Nigeria back on track and religion is now their weapon again.
This is how it'll play out - they're quite aware of Nigeria security challenges, which is indirectly funded by them to target our Agriculture especially our food supply.
What do you notice the regions and areas with security challenges have in common? Farmlands and resource rich areas. That's one of the reasons we have food inflation over the years and have to depend on imports.
Same template in other major economic sectors.
They'll pass a legislation that'll limit Nigeria's access to get arms and tech needed to tackle the challenges under the guise of religious war, rights and whatever grammar they usually package it with, while at the same pass weapons and tech to the insurgents and term it religious war.
This will give them an excuse to intervene to 'protect religious rights' and its chaos all over again. They'll have cheap access to our resources and control our food supply chain leading to economic crisis since our government won't have leverage again.
Same template, same cycle..
It's time we Nigerians realize this and refuse to let any ignorant US Senator dictate how our collective future will be. God should deal with people like you who come here to spew lies and defend evil, all in the name of politics. You discriminate and kill others in Nigeria on religious grounds and then come here to trybto distort the realities on ground. Rubbish! |

You need to see the way my friend jumped and screamed.🤦 But all these Nairaland snake killers have been giving me morals lately😋 removed one of the boots (my dad always emphasized on wearing rubber boots when going into our garden) and smashed it with it.
Dada came running out but I had already finished the job. My kid sister tryna downplay my achievement said it's too tiny🤣 But Dada just kept on blushing and said I did a good job cux no snake is too tiny. We burned the demon🔥🔥🫢
Last picture is me, pretty face but I am now a certified snake killer🤣 I dedicate this achievement to falseprophet1 A two-legged snake killed her legless fellow! That's wonderful |

Try listening to experience. Not just commentaries. Sounding as stv piid as the man! Every intelligent person can give an estimate of the average cost in that situation. The words ''estimate'' and ''average'' weren't just created for nothing. There are for situations where the actual/specific figures are not yet available. |

Image123: The cost per kilometer of a 750km project cannot be determined. It can only be estimated or averaged. And conditions may change. This is not building a kiosk or chicken hatch. The terrain and soils are different. Some will need more work or fillings, some different contractors, some will be bridge. Cost of materials and labour from place to place, weather, some diversions, some unexpected challenges, all differ. We should focus on intelligence, professionalism and patriotism instead of theatrics and media trials. Can you listen to yourself? And we're talking about a contract that has already been awarded! So, how did they determine the cost they used in awarding the contract then? By guessing |

peretei2024: Good evening my people,
Please I need your advice on this matter oooh.
I live in Lago state, my landlord increased our rent last year and my rent is 2 months to be expired, he just sent in message to all the tenant that the rent has increased again from #400,000 to #700,000.
Please what can we do as everyone in the house is upset with this madness.
Is there any legal action one can take against this heartless landlord? Yes, he can. The contract you signed with him covers only the current year, not the coming year. But there's a percentage he cannot exceed while increasing the rent. |

Family › Re: Please Help My Friend's Father”: A Setup That Almost Trapped My Brother by ChybuzzDD(m): 7:05am On Oct 02, 2025 |
Hamachi: Growing up, my father was known for his generosity. He believed in community, in helping those around him, and in offering a hand when someone was in need. He lived by the principle that if one person in the building was struggling, we were all struggling.
One day, a young man who lived with his family in the same compound approached my father. Due to lack of space in his family’s apartment, he had nowhere to lay his head. Moved with compassion, my father agreed to let him stay temporarily in our home. After all, he wasn’t a total stranger—his people were just downstairs.
What we didn’t know was that this young man was hiding something. A weapon.
Unbeknownst to us, he had confided in someone about possessing a gun. That person—whether out of fear or a sense of duty—reported it to the police. The unimaginable happened: officers came and arrested my father.
Yes, my father—a man who had no idea what was going on, a man who simply opened his home in kindness.
The situation was dire. It didn’t matter that my uncle, my father's own brother, was a high-ranking police officer. He wasn’t allowed to intervene. The case was serious and moved swiftly to court. Fear gripped our family. The shame, the uncertainty, the injustice—it was all too much.
But it was God who showed Himself faithful.
Our family lawyer stood firm and defended my father with everything he had. Through the grace of God and against all odds, the court eventually threw the case out. My father was declared innocent.
The young man? He vanished the moment my father was arrested. He never came back. No explanation, no remorse, no accountability.
That experience scarred us. Especially me.
Since that day, I made a personal decision: No strangers under my roof. I still believe in kindness, yes, but kindness must walk hand in hand with wisdom. My father's experience taught me that not everyone deserves access to your private space, no matter how harmless they seem.
The Lesson
Be kind, but be discerning. Help others, but protect your peace. And never feel guilty for setting boundaries, even when others try to guilt you into dropping them.
Wisdom doesn’t mean a lack of compassion—it means knowing when to say yes, and when to say no. Good one, but Angel Slay and Ham achi are the same person Create an imaginary story, respond with another mo niker to drive traffic |

isyourboy: We have been together for 3yrs (2 in marriage). We’ve been having some patch ones lately due to finances. Which I told her I’ll sort it and get her the money she want to use. I’d have borrowed but no one did.
Lately, our landlord son is around. He just came back from the Netherlands as he’s been living there for years. My wife started moving very close to him (between we live in a large compound and my landlord has a whole section of the storey building to himself while the tenant share the other two storeys). She got his number and they started chatting on WhatsApp. Will see her giggles and she told me the guy is helping her find free school in Europe.
I had no idea they were sleeping with each other until the beginning of this month. When I knew and asked her about it, she got angry. But i saw a text where she was begging the guy and saying sorry he couldn’t penetrate well. That was the second time they were having sex from the chat. Now she’s angry and went back to her parent house saying I connived with the landlord son to ask her out and accuse her of infidelity.
Mind you it’s been months we last had sex. Which was mainly due to my financial condition.
Is it okay to call her parent and ask them to beg her, at least she can come back home
