This is a blatant lie from wike. I'm from Onelga and i can tell you that the people of Onelga are happy with the current army invasion in the state. We have been praying for this to happen and and God has answered our prayers because the people of onelga cannot sleep with there two eyes closed . Everyday we hear news of innocent souls being killed by gang men. Kidnapping is the other of ther day. Bussiness are not moving because every one has deserted the place to save there life. The invasion wike is talking about was againgst terrorism and i can tell you now that the army has burnt down the camp of the peppetrators and also distroyed the house of the gang leader. We are strongly behind the army on this one. |

Igwe Alex Nwokedi, Press Secretary to the Head of State during the military regime of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, is the sitting Uthokoneze and paramount ruler of Achalla Kingdom, Anambra State. The 79-year-old former Chairman, Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers and erstwhile Chairman, Eastern Nigerian Traditional Rulers Forum, spoke to Sunday Vanguard on the calls for Biafra and threat of secession by Afenifere among other things What is your perspective on the brewing agitation for Biafra in your part of the country? General Yakubu Gowon, in one of his published interviews, spoke well when he said he was surprised that people could be talking about Biafra over 40 years after the matter had been resolved. Owelle Rochas Okorocha, a respected governor of the people, of course, has also spoken like a patriotic Nigeria when he counselled that Igbo should stop hating other Nigerians. That comment credited to him gives a good perspective on the Igbo people of this country. The embattled Rivers State Governor, Barr Nyesom Wike has described the nullification of his election by the Election Petition Tribunaland the Supreme Courtas a gang up against him and the people of the state. According to him, the judiciary was setting a dangerous precedent in the country with the way it had gone about elections in Rivers state. Special Adviser to the governor on media and publicity, Mr Opunabo Nko-Tariah in a statement yesterday in Port Harcourt alleged that there had been effort to wrestle power from Governor Wike through the back door, adding that legal steps will be taken to defend the mandates of the people displayed in the April 11 general election. “What is going on right now can best be described as judicial gang-up against Governor Wike, nay, the people of Rivers State. It is an affront on democracy and a blight disregard for the will of the people as evinced in the April 11 general elections. “The courts are setting pernicious precedents by hinging their verdicts on inane points. Rivers people overwhelming ly gave their mandate to Governor Wike but a microscopic few want to wrest that mandate from him through the back door” http://www.theheraldng.com/wike-there-is-a-gang-up-to-wrestle-power-from-me-through-back-door/ |

North Koreais accusing the US of spreading the Ebola virus, claiming it has been“bent on the development of bio-weapons” in order to achieve world supremacy. The secretive state reacted strongly to the Ebola outbreak by closing its border to tourists and quarantining anyone who does enter. Now, a report by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) is claiming an aide to ex-President Reagan informed them the US had invented a progenitor of Ebola virus“for the purpose of launching a biological warfare”. The aide was named as Roberts, who The Washington Postsaid could be a reference to Paul Craig Roberts, an econmoist. Mr Roberts recently published a blog post entitled‘Is The US Government The Master Criminal Of Our Time?’which cited work published by two academics on Ebola. In pictures: Life in North Korea Only a few weeks after a UN resolution condemned the country’s human right’s record, The KCNA criticised the US for its own human rights record. The article said the US had given $140 million (£89 million). www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/north-korea-accuses-us-of-spreading-ebola-and-choosing-africa-as-a-bioweapon-testing-ground-9897529.html |
