Try Turkish Airline, it's way cheaper. Visit their office at Adeola Odeku VI, I got mine LOS - HAM for 176k.

Please can someone confirm if the discounted emirates airline for students is still open and also does one have to book online before proceeding to their head office?

I submitted mine last week, 20th Sept and got my visa delivered wed morning 26th Sept. I used DHL, you may have to contact your courier service.

It's been a long fruitful journey.

Interview date-29th Aug
Interviewer-lady on dreadlocks ( I'd say she was cool)
AM-19th sept
Visum-26th sept
School - LMU Munich

I have contacted Alien office. It was a favorable response, Visa has been approved from their end. I should wait for Embassy to contact me, final decision lies with them!

Contacted Embassy, no response from them.

I have seen people here who had a quick response from the embassy by writing them in German. I'd suggest you try that and hopefully it will come out well. Download the language translator app, write in English and use the app to translate it to German, then send the mail to lago@diplo.de.addressing it to the consular general. Give verifiable facts and evidences such as correspondence from the alien office, your enquiry mail to the embassy as regards the issue. I'm positive it will be a good move.
