You're welcome. Yes I've heard of something similar from another group. They had Sent a mail to CIC requesting for a change in VO and got a reply days later telling them where to submit.

Someone also complained that it took 10 days to get a response, so if you don't hear back from them in 2 or 3 days send another mail.

Good luck

happymumtobe:

Thank you very much..he called but didn't get any helpful information but has also sent a mail...please do you know someone that something similar happened to that they issued a letter on where to submit .

Thanks for your help.

[CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca their response time varies from 24 hours to about 7 days.

You can also try calling them on +16139444000, then use the following extensions on the IVR to get connected to an agent. 1-1-1-2-2-2-2-0

Congrats on your PPR. Send a mail to CIC informing them where you and Your husband are currently located and they'll reissue you another letter telling you where to submit your passports.

An open work permit is for people already working in Canada who have applied for permanent residency but their current visa (either post graduate work permit or work permit) will expire before their PR application is approved. This means you can't apply for it if you are outside Canada. You can search for 'bridging open work permit" on the CIC website

Tdadz:
Dears, please what advantages does one get if one has an open work permit in Candada.... does this make one a legal immigrant to work in Canada. I got this info from an agent and need to confirm how legit it is b4 my friend falls for their trap.
I need ur urgent response as soon as possible...
Thanks

Thanks Triv for the encouragement. I'm hopeful for positive updates this week

The email address is CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

Good luck to you too

Triv:

Hey thanks Cissy10, will mail them, hopefully I'll get some good info. Is this the email address you used, cic-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca? I think your file is at the final stage, since it's at LVO, from what I've seen in people's gcms notes, the corresponding background check at this stage is IP2, I guess the officer just didn't update it. Goodluck

You can try sending them an email inquiring about the status of your application and what office is currently handling your application. These days they are more open to giving people info about their application.

My AOR is feb 28th and mu BG has been 'next step is to conduct Bg since 13th of April. I mailed them last wed and got a reply on Thurs saying my file has been moved to London office and has been assigned to an officer for review.

I just hope this doesn't mean they haven't touched my file since April

Triv:
Hello people, please is there anyone here that has received PPR mail with AOR in February? This wait is killing, the only update I have is medicals passed and my BG moved to NA in April and since then no movement at all.

I'll answer question 1. In the field where you put name of course/certificate I.e. ACCA, on that same line put correspondence in bracket. CIC website says for people who did online degrees, when filling in the name of the school put correspondence in bracket. I guess the same thing should apply to you. Then in your LOE you can say though the certificate is from UK, all classes and exams were done in Nigeria

quote author=Muchaio post=57099895]Hello,
After guest stalking this thread for a while, I finally registered.
Finally took the plunge and got ITA May 31. Now filling the forms and I have few questions that I'm begging the gurus to assist.

1. I assessed my ACCA certificate. Country of certificate is UK but I of course did it in Naija. How do I avoid UK PLC AS I've even never been to the UK?

2. My spouse (accompanying spouse) was refused UK visa a long time ago. B4 I even knew I go marry. Agent issh back then, she was advised to fashi the old passport and got a new one with the middle name stylishly modified (Eg Wura to Wuraola) however all her credentials except the passport has Wura. She has since gotten UK Visa severally on the new passport. Since it is more than 10yrs ago, do we need to worry/declare this? I'm afraid if they do BG check on the name, email fit go uproot skeleton.

3. I also have small comma on my certs, middle name wahala too (I'm a proper village boy no vex). While the name is stated as Wale on my BSc and ACCA, my MBA and passport carries Adewale. WES was issued on Wale cos during my days of ignorance, I evaluated ALL certs. I have gotten a sworn affidavit that we are both me. Will this suffice?

Abeg no vex,

4. Le Boo is from polygamous background. She doesn't want her half siblings anywhere around her application meanwhile the form asks for all family details. Can we just input her direct siblings and move? Me I don't want to play kalokalo with 2080CAD mbok

Gurus, please Epp me
Congrats on the meds passed. The wait is really something else. In the beginning, background check is 'Not applicable' then after meds passed for FSW, it changes to 'your application is in progress, next step is to conduct background check'

[I also submitted the soft copy of my WES report. Submitted my application in February, Meds passed in April, additional document request (Ghana PCC ) in April, background check in progress. I'm sure if there was a problem with the soft copy, I would have heard about it by now

quote author=Adiahabasi post=56553580] Hmmm that's a first. Pls what stage are you? Gotten PPR yet?
Relax!!! No need to worry, FSW Outland gets medicals passed from 40 to 60 days as shown from recent trends. I got my medicals passed after 43 days. Submitted my application feb 28th and passed medicals on the 12th of April

Ehrnie:

Oh wow - now, I'm getting worried. So, I went for my medicals on the 16th of March and I requested a copy of my results when completed. This was sent to me on the 27th of March. Submitted e-Apr 31st March & got AOR almost immediately. I just checked my CIC account and the section "Review of Medical Results" still reads "You do not need a medical Exam".

Apparently nothing has changed since (approximately 3 weeks) I completed my medical. Is this normal? Any one experienced or experiencing this? I will double check with the hospital today to make sure they have sent all they have to send to IRCC.

happymumtobe:

It took a week...just google Ghana police report or get to the site from cic page..it cost 300dollars when I did mine about 149K in naira...you will have to get someone in Ghana to go collect it for you and then scan to you.

Hi @happymumtobe pls what was the name written on your Ghanaian police report? The CIC website says the name of the document to get is 'Police Clearance Certificate' but the one my friend sent to me has 'Criminal Check' on it. I just want to confirm its the same thing cos I read on another forum where someone was rejected because he submitted the wrong police report.

Thanks

It costs 1200 Cedis. It takes between 4 to 10 days and you need someone in Ghana to apply on your behalf

Kathyjex:
My senior in da house greetings. Please has anyone gotten PCC from Ghana? What are the details? Any contact person? What's the cost? How long does it take to be ready?

Thanks
