Health / A Review Of Four Herbs & Fish Oil Will Lower High Blood Pressure Fast by citadelplace: 9:18am On Feb 27, 2017
Read about this selection of herbs and fish oil will help you lower blood pressure.

Garlic: Garlic has the ability to lower blood pressure by causing blood vessels to relax and dilate. This lets blood flow more freely and reduces blood pressure. You can add fresh garlic to a number of your favorite recipes. If the flavor of garlic is just too strong for you, roast it first. And if you simply can’t eat the stuff, you can get garlic in supplement form.

Ginger: This wonderful root has been used in traditional medicine systems all over the world and has been applied to a wide range of ailments. Ginger may help control blood pressure, as it has been shown to improve blood circulation and relax the muscles surrounding blood vessels.

Aloe Vera: Results of a study published in the Journal of Nutritional Science and Vitaminology showed that aloe administration lowered liver production of cholesterol by about 30 percent. Additional research has shown that consuming aloe vera decreases LDL “bad” cholesterol levels and reduces triglyceride levels while increasing blood HDL, or “good” cholesterol. Therefore, using aloe vera juice to balance total cholesterol ratio is uniquely beneficial. As you may find it difficult to extract the juice you can get aloe vera juice with the other herb.

Thyme
, a member of the mint family, has a sweet, earthy flavor that lends itself well to cooking. Studies reported in Plant Foods for Human Nutrition, show that wild thyme commonly found in the Mediterranean lowers cholesterol and reduces heart rate, offering multiple benefits for cardiovascular health. One sure way to use thyme to help lower your heart rate is to substitute it for salt in foods.

Fish Oil: Fish oil and its bountiful omega-3 fatty acids are a beautiful thing when it comes to the heart. While studies have been wishy-washy on whether or not it actually reduces the risk of heart attacks or strokes, it has been viewed as successful when it comes to lowering blood pressure, while also reducing triglycerides and increasing HDL (“good”) cholesterol. Heart transplant patients have been given fish oil to reduce the risk of hypertension following a transplant.

A combination of these herbs and fish oil would push high blood pressure back to normal levels. Instead of going through the hassles of looking for these herbs and oil and the difficulty of processing them, you can read how to get the for excellent results by following this link

Health / Re: Can Anyone Recover From Stroke? by citadelplace: 12:08pm On Feb 25, 2017
Your actions make a difference
It’s important to get medical care as soon as stroke symptoms are identified or suspected. The faster medical treatment happens, the less likely that extensive brain damage will occur. While stroke is an unexpected and often devastating occurrence, early detection, treatment, and consistent rehabilitative care can help minimize permanent damage.

What are the odds for recovery?
• 10 percent of those who survive a stroke experience almost complete recovery
• 25 percent of stroke survivors recover with only minor impairments
• 40 percent have moderate to severe impairments that require special care
• 10 percent need care in a long-term care facility
• 15 percent die soon after the stroke

Physical rehabilitation can often significantly improve a person’s functional ability. While recovery time and effectiveness vary greatly from person to person, the following therapies may help:
• therapy while in a hospital
• therapy while in a subacute care unit
• therapy in a rehabilitation hospital
• home therapy
• outpatient therapy
• therapy and skilled nursing care in a long-term care facility
Health / What’s The Difference Between High Blood Pressure And Hypertension? by citadelplace: 3:32pm On Feb 22, 2017
High blood pressure is an oft-misapplied term. So is hypertension. So what’s the difference, and does it really matter?

If you’re in good health, your blood pressure will fluctuate during the day, depending on your stress level, how much caffeine you’ve had, whether you’re exerting yourself and so on.

Taking your blood pressure when you’ve just heard that your house has been burgled, or after you’ve had three double espressos will show that you have high blood pressure. That’s not necessarily dangerous.

It’s when your blood pressure stays elevated for prolonged periods that the danger creeps in.

When your blood pressure stays high for a long time, you have hypertension. A number of factors can contribute to this: smoking, drinking too much, obesity and high salt intake can cause trouble.

Another factor is heredity: you may simply have inherited hypertension. It seems unfair, but it’s true.

So while you’re likely to have high blood pressure at some stage of your life, you don’t necessarily have hypertension. Seeing your doctor regularly and knowing your family history will help establish which category you fall into.
Health / Changes You Can Make To Manage High Blood Pressure by citadelplace: 9:59am On Feb 22, 2017
Fighting back against the “silent killer” High blood pressure (HBP or hypertension) is a symptomless “silent killer” that quietly damages blood vessels and leads to serious health threats.

While there is no cure, using medications as prescribed and making positive lifestyle changes can help enhance your quality of life and reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease and more.

Make changes that matter:

Eat a well-balanced, low-salt diet.
Limit alcohol.
Enjoy regular physical activity.
Maintain a healthy weight.
Take your medications properly.

Know your numbers
The best way to know if your blood pressure is in a healthy or unhealthy range is to get it checked. If high blood pressure is diagnosed, regular monitoring can help confirm if you have high blood pressure, detect patterns and alert you any changes. It will also show you if the changes you’ve made are working.

Managing blood pressure is a lifelong commitment
Listen to and partner with your doctor, read sound information on your condition, learn how to monitor your blood pressure at home and act on this information to live a heart-healthy life.

By adopting a heart-healthy lifestyle, you can:

Reduce high blood pressure.
Prevent or delay the development of high blood pressure.
Enhance the effectiveness of blood pressure medications.
Lower your risk of heart attack, stroke, heart failure, kidney damage, vision loss and sexual dysfunction.

There are a wide variety of health benefits of aloe vera juice. First, it boosts the immune system and helps detoxify the body due to its high content of antioxidant nutrients.

Results of a study published in the Journal of Nutritional Science and Vitaminology showed that aloe administration lowered liver production of cholesterol by about 30 percent.

Aloe vera juice helps lower blood pressure and improve overall heart health in a number of ways: Because aloe vera juice contains a high amount of vitamin C, it enhances circulation and strengthens veins and arteries.

Other nutrients in aloe vera juice help to dilate the capillaries and boost blood oxygenation, thereby offering therapeutic benefits on the cardiovascular system.

Here’s a summary of the six health benefits of aloe vera juice for your heart, based on the cited research reports:
1. Lowers LDL cholesterol
2. Increases HDL cholesterol
3. Reduces triglycerides
4. Lowers blood pressure
5. Stabilizes heart rhythm
6. Reduces occurrence of chest pain (angina) attacks

One research study found that taking 10 mL or 20 mL of aloe orally daily for 12 weeks can reduce total cholesterol by about 15 percent, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol by about 18 percent, and triglycerides by about 25 to 30% percent (5 or 10 mL).
