You can't plant tomato now without irrigation. Tomato does not like too much water like that but need enough water for at least two weeks to become fully established after transplanting, and rain is not falling now.

Secondly, I will advice you don't use herbicide to prepare your soil, herbicide used to prepare land for transplanting have residual effects on tomatoe. I lost more than 200 seedling to this.

The 800 bases are not all close to China, only a portion of them are. And in a case of a war between China and USA, none of those bases would survive a week (even if nuclear weapons are not used) as all sorts of Chinese weapons could easily reach them.

Look, defense is always easier than offense in war. USA might have all the fancy technology in the world but I'm interested in seeing how they are going to ship them near China without being destroyed. I'm interested in knowing how many days a USA carrier strike group would last before being flooded with hundreds of hypersonic missiles . USA doesn't even have the resources to transport enough ground troops and equipment to to China (in case they perform the impossible task ot defeating all Chinese air defense systems) and even if they do, they'd still have to contend with the Chinese army.

Simply looking at the cost of wars in smaller, weaker, and defenceless countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, and Vietnam would show you that USA CAN NEVER successfully invade China. They can only do it by using nuclear weapons and somehow not facing significant retaliation (Which again is not possible).

It's seems you do not know the meaning of "Air defense, Air defense is simply using every strategic means at your disposal to intercept any enemy operated flying objects seen as threat. The way and method the US used in shooting down that balloon is well classified as air defense.

Secondly you asked if it was a threat, If it wasn't seen as a threat by the US why would they as they claim "allowed it to glide away from populated areas" before bringing it down? Didn't you also read where they said they didn't know the content of the balloon? If they didn't see it as a threat then what is the purpose of shooting it down?
