This title says it all, most rejections happen before a human even opens the CV. In my experience the biggest culprit is formatting: two-column designs, graphics, tables. They look impressive to us but the scanning software just can’t read them properly, so your CV gets filed as “unqualified” even when you’re not. Made a free checker if anyone wants to see exactly where their CV is losing points: https://getdocpilot.pro/resume-score |
One thing that doesn’t get mentioned enough on threads like this: a lot of companies now use software (ATS) to scan CVs before any human sees them. If your CV has fancy tables or columns, the system can scramble it. If your wording doesn’t match the job description closely enough, it can get ranked low even if you’re qualified. Built a free tool that checks this and tells you exactly what’s wrong before you send your CV out, no signup needed: getdocpilot.pro/resume-score Wrote more on the formatting side here too: https://getdocpilot.pro/blog/resume-mistakes-ats-rejection |
Been seeing a lot of “I’ve applied to over 100 jobs and no response” posts on here lately, so wanted to share something that’s not talked about enough. Many companies now use software called an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) to scan CVs before a human even looks at them. If your CV isn’t formatted in a way the system can read properly, it can get filtered out automatically, even if you’re actually qualified for the job. Some common mistakes that mess this up: 1. Using tables or fancy columns in your CV design (looks nice to a human, but the system can’t read it properly) 2. Vague statements like “responsible for sales” instead of “increased sales by 20% in 6 months” 3. Not using the same keywords that are in the job description 4. Weird date formats that confuse the system I built a free tool that checks your CV and tells you exactly what’s wrong with it before you send it out. No signup needed to try it. Happy to answer questions if anyone’s stuck on their CV. |
I’ve noticed that many of us genuinely want to read the Bible every day, but staying consistent can be difficult. Some days we’re busy. Some days we simply forget. Other days we don’t know where to start. I’m curious: * Do you have a daily Bible reading routine? * What has helped you stay consistent over the years? * Do you use a physical devotional, YouVersion, or another app? * If you miss a day, what usually causes it? I’ve been working on a small project called Daily Reflection to help Christians build a consistent habit of spending time with God’s Word. It includes a Verse of the Day, daily reflections, prayer prompts, streak tracking, and AI-powered Bible conversations. I’m still improving it, so I’d really appreciate honest feedback from fellow Christians. If you’d like to try it, here’s the Play Store link: https://daily-reflection-c./ Please don’t hold back. If there’s anything that would make it more useful for your daily walk with God, I’d love to hear your suggestions. God bless.

Hello everyone, Over the past few months, I’ve been building a web application called DocPilot to help job seekers create ATS-friendly resumes without spending hours formatting documents. The idea came from seeing how many people struggle with: * Knowing what to include in a resume. * Making their CV ATS-friendly. * Formatting everything professionally. * Tailoring resumes for different jobs. So I decided to build a tool that simplifies the process. Current features include: * ATS-friendly resume templates. * AI-assisted resume writing. * Resume scoring and suggestions. * PDF export. * Easy editing without starting over. I’m still actively improving it, and before adding more features, I’d really love feedback from people who have actually applied for jobs. A few questions: 1. What is the biggest challenge you face when writing a CV? 2. What feature would make a resume builder genuinely useful to you? 3. Have you used any resume builders before? What did you like or dislike? If anyone is willing to test it, I’d appreciate your honest feedback. I’m not looking for praise—I’d rather know what needs improvement. You can try it here: https://doc-pilot-c. Thanks in advance. Every suggestion will help make the product better.
