Boss is it a fact that LAUTECH wont give u the course u applied for or it just occured to u alone. Please watch what u post on here to avoid misleading others.

I finished SSCE 2011, Nnamdi Azikiwe (Accounting) didnt gimme admission for B.Sc and got admitted into Yabatech Accounting 2011/2012, during that period i wrote jamb 2ce making it 3 times, Unilag (Economics) 2012/2013 i had 62% but Merit cutoff was 68%, FUNAAB (Accounting) 2014/2015 40%, there wasnt any cutoff, just check if u are admitted & if not wait for anoda year. I wasnt admitted. Just little marks cut me off guard. Ive completed my ND now and i've done jamb thrice already, this is the 4th time just because i wanna have a Bachelor Degree, i wud have said i should complete my HND (Accounting) but Naija situation bad for HND degree.

Advice.........

COC form is out and mumcy is saying that i should pick one up coz Unilag is a competitive school, im not from catchment (Imo State) and departmental cutoff mark might sky-rocket due to unimaginable jamb score (250+ and above) + i dont wanna stay @home dis year. What course do u think i can put-in for OOU which is less lucrative and high chance of getting admission in OOU. Hoping for the best.

whats catchment?

Catchment is for those that belong to a stipulated state which is assigned to every school and applicants from catchment, despite not making the merit list, if u make the catchment list u wud be given admission. The catchment cutoff mark is lower than the merit cutoff

If u applied for Unilag, Catchment States include;
- Ekiti
- Lagos
- Ogun
- Ondo
- Osun
- Oyo
U stand a great chance if u from any of the stipulated state as mentioned above, if not "CHANGE"

Are u from a Catchment, if not...U should consider a COC/Institution form. That wud pay more coz the accounting u chose is highly competitivein Unilag, especially for this particular year. If u can score nothing less dan 31/40 in PUTME, u will make a composite of 65.5% (Merit)

U are good to go bro!!! First, u have to consider ur jamb score. Whats ur score?

You'll have to restart 100L if you're going in thru utme but u'll continue with 200L if it's intra-faculty.

So is it advisable to do so? i.e. pick a COC form and change to education and pick a COC form after 100L to a new faculty...or i should just stick to my actuarial science with 237 jamb score and prepare for my PUTME. Coz me i no wan stay for house this year again....

Ans. To No. 1- You'll need to write another jamb n putme to change to acturial science cos to start with,ur utme combo might be diff frm that of actuarial science.And with that cgpa,u can only do intra-faculty change not inter-faculty.

Do u mean Certificate of Origin? This is Nigeria, that can be gotten from anybody who a Local Government Official, I was born in Lagos, Shomolu LGA but im originally from Imo, Orlu LGA.
But still havent answered my question though.

Huh? So what is merit score if not cut off marks They are one and the same. Cut off is basically divided into 2: merit and catchment, merit being the general cut off mark, while catchment affects those from the catchment areas.

I guess this nigga is just writing Jamb for the 1st time, so he needs more clarification

cut off marks go high like madt this year, you go just see say medicine will be 90% , law 80%, even Yoruba linguistic will be 75% lol
