European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Evra Pokes Fun At Suarez Over Biting Incident, Uses Fake Arm(pic) by Clerverly(op): 12:51pm On Apr 23, 2013
Manchester United defender Patrice Evra wasted no time in poking fun at Luis Suarez for his latest misdemeanour, pretending to chomp on a fake dismembered arm after his side clinched a 20th English title by beating Aston Villa on Monday.

Amid the celebration of Manchester United taking the Premiership, someone threw a fake arm at Patrice Evra. Being that this seems to be the perfect week for such things, he decided to pretend to take a bite out of it, an impromptu homage to Luis Suarez literally biting an actual arm on Sunday.

The day before, Liverpool's Uruguay striker Suarez had bitten Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during a 2-2 draw at Anfield - a moment of madness for which he faces a lengthy ban from the Football Association.

Suarez has been widely condemned for the bite, the second such incident of his career, and he was getting no sympathy from Evra who was embroiled in a racism storm with the Uruguayan in 2011.

Suarez was banned for eight games for calling Evra "negro" and when they next met on a soccer field he added to the bad feeling by refusing to shake the Frenchman's hand.

Evra's stunt has already lit up Twitter, with some Liverpool fans calling on the FA to take action.

Suarez, who has apologised for biting Ivanovic, has been fined by Liverpool and was charged by the FA with violent conduct on Monday.

mankevo: Jonathan is confortable replacing Amechi (South-South Christian) with Gov. Shema (Nothern Muslim)

But affraid of himself being replaced by Northern element come 2015. Yeye dey really smell!!
Am sure if Amechi deserves the second chance, the governors will re-elect him with the backing of the opposition ones just as Speaker Tambuwal got his seat via opposition support.
Now even if the governors themselves wanted to remove Amechi, the Presidency position might make them rethink.
In Naija everything is Do-Or-Die in politics because they aint fighting for the masses but themselves.
So on point!

But Jonathan insisted that although there were
cases of corruption in the country, the menace was
being "over-amplified."
I thought Okupe said there was no corruption in Nigeria. Now it is being "over amplified". So corruption in Nigeria is now like a musical equipments that can be "over or under amplified" What a country!

Uncertain of his candidate winning next month’s chairmanship election of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday night met with selected governors at the Presidential Villa and appealed to them not to vote for Mr. Rotimi Amaechi.

The meeting was said to have become necessary when Jonathan's foot soldier, Gov. Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, was unable to convince fellow PDP governors to vote for Gov. Ibrahim Shema for the post.

Akpabio had tried unsuccessfully to persuade a majority of the governors to vote out his fellow South-South governor in place of a Northerner. Most of the governors from the North believe that his action is not out of love for them but to firm up the machinery for Jonathan's 2015 ambition.

The election for the office of the NGF chairman comes up in May, and the incumbent, who is not popular in the President's camp but is loved by his colleagues, is running.

At the Villa's night meeting, in addition to Akpabio, were 14 other governors, including the governors of Bauchi, Gombeand, and Katsina States.

Sources at the meeting said Jonathan begged the governors to rally round Shema and make sure he defeats Amaechi.

"You can do it. Tell your colleagues, especially those from our party that Shema is our sole candidate," the President reportedly urged. Unfortunately, none of the governors gave the President any word of commitment even when Akpabio asked them to speak.

"We have heard Mr. President. There is nothing to say, but we must make sure that the Forum is not seen as an extension of the PDP," one of the governors was said to have told Mr. Jonathan.

The NGF has scheduled a meeting for next Wednesday, but the election is not part of the agenda.

When some of us the Igbos on this forum said and continue to say, that the present day Igbo leaders are political contractors/jobbers, GEJ apologists and asz lickers called us "efulefu". I will like to ask, where are those political hoodlums? Insincere9igerian, targah, Point B, Gboss4sure, dede "otu" etal and the Always- Disguising Bigot Afam4eva huh

The day Igbos adopted jonathan as "our" political son was the day the coffin was nailed. If we are experiencing this under our own Goodluck Ebele Sopuruchukwu Afamkaego Azikiwe, what would happen when Sanusi Buhari Ahmed Tinubu ascends the throne huh shm! sorry Uwazuruike you are going to rot in jail and nothing would happen!

Politics › Who Made Afam4eva And Ikenna123 Politics Section Moderators?? by Clerverly(op):
Whoever made Afam4eva and Ikenna123 moderators really needs to have his/her brain carefully examined at the nearest Psycho Hospital. These are confirmed tribal warlords and GEJ staunch(blind) supporters. Why were they chosen among all the intellectuals and qualified people that litter politics section. Whoever did this has done a great disservice to the most sensitive, visited and traffic- pulling section on Nairaland Forum. Why did Seun succumb to blackmail from Afam4eva after his failed nomination for the award of Poster-Of-The-Year last year huh While he can be forgiven for his youthful exuberance (he sat for NECO some years back) in reactions to issues, his penchant for being biased on issues should never be waved especially on this section.

Case Study: 1

Generalj posted a lead story from international and local newspapers which is being heavily discussed in other internet Forums but Afam and Ikenna blatantly refused to stick it the front page for three days running, not minding that the thread has attracted more than 100 posters.

https://www.nairaland.com/1264660/corruption-massive-under-jonathan-us

Case Study 2: I ran a thread on the recent drastic reduction on power supply across the country but again they refused to stick it on the Front Page even though it attracted more than 60 posters.

https://www.nairaland.com/1232672/experience-drastic-reduction-power-supply

However, when insincere9igerian opens a nonsensical thread and spam it to 30 posts(at times replying to himself) these never-do-well mods would quickly drag it to the front page.

Case study 1.
https://www.nairaland.com/1264623/obasanjo-killer-squad-president-former

Case 2
https://www.nairaland.com/1219412/apc-may-collapse-over-logo

Then question needs to be asked, what are the merits of posts that should be on the front page Seun huh

Rossikk: Actually, the reason we can employ gatemen is because we can afford to, just like we can afford to hire house helps, drivers etc. The cost of labour is low compared to the west, where only rich fat cats like Obama and Bill Gates can employ security, drivers and butlers. If ordinary westerners could afford private security, they'd all get it at the drop of a hat due to their high crime rate, including burglaries, mugging and murder. So try another excuse for hating Nigeria. This one just failed.

Rossikk: Why should inconsequential garbage like this be front page? Nigeria will take no lessons from the US, the country with the most corrupt, bloodthirsty leaders in the entire human history. A country that murders millions of innocents in order to steal oil to fatten further their already bloated elite. Why are war criminals like George Bush, Di.ck Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Colin Powell still walking free? How many innocent Afghans did Obama slaughter today? How many African progressives have the US and friends slaughtered, from Murtala to Lumumba to Sankara to Nkrumah? Why did a US court just last week absolve Shell of all criminal responsibility for environmental devastation in Nigeria? Nasty two-faced criminals poking their dirty noses into what concerns them not, and deceiving the gullible with their fake "sainthood".
We are talking about Nigeria and corruptions under Jonathan.

franchizy: I condemn dis report cos there is no Iota of truth in it. GEJ Administration is the most transparent and the best Nigeria ever had.
GEJ exposed and is prosecuting all involved in the subsidy scam. Also the Pension scam, Farouk Lawal.
It is only in GEJ regime dat any minister caught having intrest in a company must resign. (Minister of Power).
GEJ is the only Nigerian president who ve never stolen a kobo or looted any money. The only president dat has no investment. The only president dat transformed our airports to world class standard. The only president dat gave Nigerians steady Electricity, good roads, water scheme, health and Freedom of information.
Based on the foregoing, I tink the reporters are paid AGENTS. GEJ will rule Nigeria till 2019. Haters shud go and hug the nearest transformer.

Billyonaire: When did America become a watchdog to sound convictions against other countries ? I think US should focus on their failing economy and home grown terrorism. US is over 300 yrs old as a country of immigrants, I can remember vividly that America was not as advanced as Nigeria is when they celebrated their 60yrs Independence from Britain.
Anyway, who cares what America says, we should be thinking how to learn Chinese Economic models instead of listening to a failing nation with economy of bubbles.
I do not think, there is much difference between this Billyonaire of a guy and the legendary Musiwa1-35 of Nairaland. Their take on issues are always the same. While the latter uses satellite in analyzing any subject he doesn't understand the former uses his "psychotic" Map grin grin

Politics › Re: I Will Re-Construct Ijebu-Ode FG Road - Amosun by Clerverly: 12:12pm On Apr 09, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: The road is a FG road and if the state govt wants to do work on the road they should follow due process and obtain approval from FG. Its okay to have good intentions but executing a well intended act thru illegal means rubbishes the good intention. For instance, if you want to demolish my house to build a bigger house for me, you cannot do that without my permission. You cannot just forcefully move bulldozers to my house without my consent. If I'm living in an unpainted house and someone wants to help paint the house for me, the person will seek my consent first. Even in medicine, you cannot administer any treatment to a patient except they consent.

My point is that DUE PROCESS is important in whatever we do, irrespective of how well intentioned the act is
So says a monkey undecided
