This country is finished, everybody is now chasing after the dollar, #1800/$ as at today. I'm so depressed right now, all my investments are in Naira. Mutual funds is giving me 11.5%, Bond at 15.7%, my purchasing power has been reduced by more than 50%. I sold my SUV about two years ago, hoping to buy something bigger, now the old version type I sold is now 14m for Nigeria used, I can't keep up. I had to close down my business because of government satanic policies, fixed investments wey I put eyes to dey use take care of family, devaluation and hyperinflation no gree, I'm so tired.

Each time I want to process a withdrawal from my mutual funds investment in order to starch it all in dollars, I get weary because of the monthly income I will earn from it which I've been using solely to take of my family, the more I tarry the more the dollar soar. Newbies should learn from my mistake, don't keep more than 20% of your investments in Naira, 80% should be dollar investment.

Is there anyway I can sell my 10 years SUKUK? Nigeria bonds is a loss in disguise

You know this argument does not hold water right?
The market does not allow direct sale person to person because it is an exchange, so how will the person offload on just you when he does not control when you are interested in buying so that he can ensure that it is his own specially that you buy.

Everyone who has some small knowledge of stock market will know that some stocks sell faster than others. Even GTB sell faster than Vitafoarm and expectedly REIT are likely to also be low in the liquidity pecking order but I hate to think that because someone shared his or her opinion on a particular investment option that he wants to dump it on you when he or she has no way of controlling who buys what he or she is offering on the exchange.

The REIT is grossly underpriced, it has over N700 million in bonds and properties worth about N1.4 billion.

The REIT payout 90% as dividends and the remaining 10% is invested in fixed income. Whenever they get appropriately priced real estate, they will liquidate part of the fixed income Investments to buy more Investment properties

how with 440,000 units x 3.2 total income =1.4m on an investwment of 27m paid at the end of the year .....while a master developer can use buy land of 10m and built 3 units of 3 bedroom on 2 floors @15m naira and use 2m to package the house well then collect 700k per anum rent x3 = 2.1m ...then I will pose as the agent and lawyer to my property and chop another 300k as agreements = now my money is 2.4m and my rate of return is higher almost 11 percent while ur is around 9 cos i collect rents in the start of the Year .....

I think we have different preference.
When I bought the land I am developing now I choose the area because of its proximity to the beach and its distance from the hustle and bustle of Lagos proper. Then Lekki trade zone came and Dangote came. My location is closer to Lagos than Dangote. I am now thinking of getting a land closer to Ogun state border after Dangote, seaport etc. because I am not going to like all the commercial activities these development will bring to the area. I like serenity and quietness. In the US I used to live in a city across Manhattan(NYC) but when people started moving from Manhattan to my city, I sell off and move to a suburban township that is about 40minutes away where it is quiet and serene
