Rapmoney: A Nigerian woman has made a video, accusing Nigerian Minister of Works, David Nweze Umahi of owing her the sum of 250 million Naira for contracts for the past 12 years, and has refused to pay her because she rejected his request for a relationship.
The video was made before she was arrested by the police on the order of Mr Umahi. She has been taken to Abuja, and has insisted that David Umahi was intimidating her.
Political activist, Omoleye Sowore has also accused David Umahi of using government power to intimidate citizens over personal issues. Sowore accosted Umahi at the police headquarters yesterday while Umahi had arranged with police for the woman to be presented, where he ended up threatening her. There were altercations between Mr Sowore and security personnel of the minister.
The allegation that David Umahi ordered a woman’s arrest over a long-standing debt dispute has intensified scrutiny of arrest practices in Nigeria. If courts exist to adjudicate debt claims, why resort to arrest? Does influence determine how quickly the police act?… pic.twitter.com/wKAbKDozT6
jmoore: Ikenna Iyiegbu is Obi Iyiegbu's(Obi Cubana)brother. He has declared to contest for house of representatives under APGA to represent the Idemili North and South Federal constituency.
He lost the last time due to Peter Obi’s effect on Labour Party
Richtaiwo: Olatunji has worked with Tinubu, and that’s clearly where the trust comes from. Thankfully, appointing security chiefs is the president’s prerogative, which means he is perfectly entitled to choose someone he actually trusts.
Now, those headless mobs endlessly asking why he didn’t pick their own choice must be on colos. It’s like telling me to let you choose my personal cook, at that point, I’d reasonably suspect you have a poisoning agenda
Jonathan would have picked someone suggested by others
Those days are gone!
Any Nigerian president for the next few years will always follow the Buhari and Tinubu style.
Lamasta: What Umahi is doing to that woman is humility to you ba
Some of you in this forum are just too daft and won't realize it until the table turned and you are at the receiving end of what you are supporting today
Have you heard the other side of the story before rushing to conclusions?
Anyways, that’s not what I addressed. I addressed the arrogance of Sowore towards Umahi, who was responding to him calmly. Even as Sowore was recording him with a spy camera. That can be unethical. If you support that tone from Sowore and him pointing finger to an older man, then you deserve the type of suffering you are facing.
rasputinn: I don't understand Sowore's point here. What did the minister do ? The minister is a staff of the country and has security detail attached to him to deal with unexpected scenarios like this and they did what they were supposed to do. So why was Sowore trying to use the incident to chase clout ? Is he now a content creator ? He called the Minister's attention, the man humbly answered him and came back to him, an action he wasn't obligated to do considering what had just happened. And how did Sowore repay the kind gesture is to start wagging his finger in the man's face, and when the aides caution him, he had the effrontery to shout at them to not talk to him anyhow, when he himself was talking to the minister, who is his senior in ALL ramifications of life anyhow. Rubbish
You have earned my respect with this analysis!
He’s using the Spy-glasses to record things, which is unknown at that moment to the Minister and others present, yet he (the Minister responded to him with ‘how are you?’ or something. But his tone of voice (knowing he’s recording) was more of arrogance than inquiring
Richtaiwo: So there are just 5 men in Nigeria? Or 5 men is sufficient sample size for Nigerian men?
You even have time to reply
A woman can be a Nigerian president, but not this Natasha, even if she use her loots as a senator plus loots from Ukraine, he won’t be a good Female president.
Someone like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will be better female president than this Natasha
Eniolohunda: I never knew anything of such exists in Nigeria. And if it does, it's because our system is so supportive of quackery. A lot of illiterate, many of the patients are ready to submit their body for quackery practices.
kelechi50: What do you understand by the word (it is my turn) Allow Mr president to use his turn in peace and when it reach you turn, use anyone you like.
Buhari started it. Jonathan slept on it. He would have done same, since it’s now a trend. I don’t see it ending soon, unless there’d be a people’s choice president
Entanglement: With the kind of entitlement mentality our women have! Marriage favours no man at all. Better to be single and enjoy your life than to carry one unvirgin woman to foot all her bill!
Imagine her father will be asking you, what do you do for living to know if you can take care of his unvirgin self entitled entity of his daughter
livinbygrace: Marriage only favors women and If you don’t have a supporting woman at least 70/30 pls young men don’t marry . When you see responsibilities, you will forget love . The easiest fall for any man is to marry liability ,you will regret it
It is also good to look at the family you are marrying from/into.
Some families may want to use their daughter for financial breakthrough through marriage. The burden may eventually fall on the husband, if she isn’t financially stable
mastermaestro: Some ke? Most of their military bigwigs and politicians are acquiring massive property in the US since this war began. The reports are on the internet. Every war puts huge money in the hands of some persons.
The one that should be supported by Nigerians for any coach is that Interference with Teams’ selection . That alone shows that many of The players invited and featured are based on their masters. Yes, some may end up playing well, but that’s not what Nigeria needs
