History is always good in order to have the right education on issues. However, it's unfortunate that such a noble idea by General Gowon, has somehow outlived its purpose. People now lobby to get posted to states of their choices. Level of insecurity has made some states a NO GO AREA, for normal postings. Gone are the days when you will be happy to be posted to any state. It's now the 77,000 allawee that is attracting people now. Cos of rate of unemployment and economic hardship. The scheme needs to be scrapped. It has outlived its purpose.
