Phones › Re: This Happened To My Samsung A16 (Photos) by Cmanforall: 1:47pm On May 20, 2025 |
jonnypie: Good evening nairalands, please who can explain this to me, as I am tonally scared and confused. I started charging this phone when I got home from work say around to eight. Because I slept early after taking dinner, only to wake up now and went straight to the parlor to check my phone qhere I was charging it. First I notice this smell when an electronic device is buring or has burned, I quickly checked my PC and unplug it and I went straight to my phone saw it was just 60% and was not charging but I saw that the charger was smelling so I unplug and perceive the phone n the odour was every strong. Only to check the back and I saw this. I quickly check the charger with my wife's phone also A16 Samsung and it was working. I later test it again with my phone n was working pls what would have caused these. Picture of the phone and charger below. Your case is that of over charging the battery and possibility the battery was weak already coupled with the a possible voltage fluctuation As an advice: Buy original Samsung! If you know someone abroad, better ask him to buy you a Samsung over there. A well used one is better than some of these Samsung phones being sold in Nigeria (especially the cheaper ones) |

WizardOfNG: This is State V Federal Government issue. At State level, administrative competence and efficacy are at the discretion of the State Governor.
Anything FG, then 'one Nigeria' deception and partiality takes over to abet vested interests.
This is why some of us insist on regional Governance. We know, very well that 'One Nigeria' is just another term for the retention of all that is bad, regressive and anti-development about our nation. Do you know, as an example, how much the RRS (rapid response squard) does towards ensuring Lagos, despite her huge population, remains one of the safest States of Nigeria?
Tinubu took over and began funding RRS to effectively make it a State Police force. That is an example of what regional autonomy can do. The sooner Nigerians start agitating for it uncompromisingly, the better. You made a good point! At State level, tribalism is reduced and the perpetrators of illegal actions can be easily identified, especially when they are from the State |

todaynewsreview: "According to Gbadegesin, “A white Ford van with Abuja registration plates GWA 136E was caught in the act of indiscriminately discharging waste.”
The vehicle was traced back to DONALD Restaurant, a nightlife establishment situated on Road 14 within the estate.
The suspects were apprehended on the scene by LERA’s Chief Security Officer and taken into custody at the LERA Secretariat."
This didn't add up at all. Anybody can do such and decide to drive to park in any place.... Or driver wants to eat there Maybe the 'Tracker' already knows the owner of the Truck. Clean environment is good, but nabbed the driver of the truck should be made to face the law (or pay the fine), and not the entire restaurant being shutdown |

helinues: No smart politicians would sign one term deal
Btw, this news is fake.
So if Atiku agrees to serve one term, would the north still be contesting the 2031 election? Not seen the coalition that can defeat Tinubu as of today. For APC to lose 2027 seat, many top politicians will need to drop their ego and form a strong coalition. Someone like Atiku should not contest, he can be made board chairman of the coalition Party. A Southerner should be the presidential candidate, while a Northerner would be the vice The question now is who will be the strong forces in these 2 regions to be on the ballot to defeat APC? |
Politics › Re: Vatican Security Blocks Seyi Tinubu From Approaching Pope Leo by Cmanforall: 2:32pm On May 19, 2025 |
malali: Seyi Tinubu’s recent escapades amount to a grotesque parody of power—a civilian prince without a crown, meddling in matters far above his station. Let it be clear: he holds no constitutional office, no electoral mandate, and no moral license to parade through state functions like Nigeria is some inherited fiefdom.
His repeated breaches of protocol, flamboyant insertions into state affairs, and unchecked gall are not only insulting to the dignity of the Nigerian presidency—they are corrosive to democratic optics at home and abroad.
This is a republic, not a royal dynasty. Nigeria does not recognize heirs to the presidential throne.
If he wishes to serve, let him run for office like every other Nigerian citizen, not gallop through the corridors of power on the coattails of nepotism. His father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, must rein him in—not tomorrow, but now—before these childish indulgences metastasize into a national embarrassment.
Nigeria deserves leadership, not lineage. Let that be understood—loudly, clearly, and constitutionally.
Trump just finished an official tour of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE....Not one picture or video had any of his Sons in it. Who's the vice president? |
