ReubenE: Can you tell the reading public what tribe is the majority in the Niger Delta since Wike failed to do so despite his ranting like a drunken man.
If Wike rightly mentioned Ijaws in Delta State, Bayelsa, Rivers, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Ondo etc then still somehow managed to say Ijaws are not majority in the ND but minority of minority, who then is the majority since you agree with his stupid claim.
Is it Ikwerre that's in 4 local governments throughout the whole Niger Delta that's majority? Is it Isoko on 2 local governments. Is it Bini people that are in Edo state alone, a state where they share with many other ethnic groups. Is it Urhobo that's sharing Delta State with many other ethnic groups with about 8-9 local governments. Is it Efik in Cross River alone that's sharing that state with many other ethnic groupa. Is it Ibibio, Annang or Itsekiri that's sharing 3 half local governments with Urhobo and Ijaw with none exclusively for themselves?
How is Ijaw with spread over 6 states in the Niger Delta a minority of Minority. Tell us who is the majority...
Again his other theory is as stupid as the first one where he said he made an Ijaw son governor because they are a majority and that Ijaws cannot produce a governor in Delta State, Edo, Akwa Ibom etc. Itsekiri in Delta State like I said before share the 3 warri local governments with Ijaw and Urhobo. They don't have a single exclusive local government of their own yet they've produced a governor in the state - Emmanuel Oduaghan.
Did Oduaghan become governor because Itsekiri are majority in Delta State let alone Niger Delta.
Wike only wanted to demean Ijaw people and create rift between the Ijaw clans in Rivers state and not because he does not know Ijaws are the majority tribe in the Niger Delta.
Ok, I get your point. Thought he said Ijaws are minorty in the 'South', which is true. But then the 'South' would have been SouthEast, SouthSouth and SouthWest. It is rude of him to demean any tribe
Funny thing is that Natasha will be getting more men asking her out these days. They may disguise as supporting her. Most people didn't know this woman before this, so she's getting attention. Hope she holds her marriage tight, because some men would want to know why Senate President is interested in her, if that is true
Codes151: so it’s true that Akpabio harassed her by holding his hands in front of her husband, senators, constituents, and others.
You just the think like Biafran.
If that woman is a Muslim, why would she allow a man hold her hand, and in Public? I don't remember Turai Yar'Adua holding a man's (not related to her) hand in public. Not even with Jonathan.
Mamaafrik1: Go online and type natasha constituency projects and type Akpabios project and see for yourself.
Why is Akpabio trying hard to silence her if he is innocent
Abi IPU complained to you??
This is not comparing her to Akpabio, nor is it to say Akpabio did not ask her out, but deceiving an International body (IPU) under the pretence of Nigerian delegate should not be condoned. IPU is open to people, but then you apply and follow due process. The privilege she has is that she has the contact email of the responsible person (through previous mails, when she was a former Nigerian delegate), amd she deceived them to get a Pass within the shorted possible time. Let's ca a spade a spade! If she applied and attended as Individual or an organisation, she wouldn't be given that Seat she was with NIGERIA on it. That is for Delegates, and not every VIP in Nigeria who attends IPU meeting is a delegate
RuddyFusion: Shut up She's on their mailing list She got a mail of the event She registered And attended the event on her individual capacity Case closed
1D1OT!
I guess you don't understand what mailing list is.
She acknowledged being on the mailing list because she was once a delegate. So she possibly checked her previous bulk emails and contacted the sender (IPU official). She was deceitful and her act could be fraudulent because the email she contacted must have taken her as a Nigerian delegate, which she claimed to be. You must be a Fraudster!!!
Don't mention me, because you will be ignored. I dont entertain Scammers!!!!
Your constituency representation is in the Nayional Assembly, not IPU. IPU doesn't know the name of your constituency. The.label on her seat didn't read Kogi State, but Nigeria. Next time, she can take Ukrainian seat, since she's also Ukrainian. But I doubt a Ukrainian representative will leasure her seat or talk time to her.
dre11: Mrs Akpoti Uduaghan says she attended the IPU meeting in New York as the legitimate representative of her consistuency.
Just read her statement. So because you are in their (IPU) mail list as former attendee, you mailed them to attend? Is that not deception?
You don't need to focus on funding your trip, the budget for your former trip must have been inflated, I addition to other allowance ls from tax payers as a Senator. Many Nigerians will be glad to attend if given the opportunity, and they will fund themselves
Nonexisting: Oga, there is nothing like South. We have Southwest, Southeast and Southsouth. Please be specific whenever you mention South. Thank you.
You hit him with raw truth
When a region in South wants power, they will divide country into North and South. Southwest won't remember equity in governance considering they have been in Aso Rock for 12 years, more than it her Southern regions
JASONjnr: Apparently, Buhari cabinet members can't take the sidelining they gave other people..... They thought power was going to remain with them forever......
Let them go and form their Northern party and do whatever they want..... Even Buhari knows that only North cannot win you a presidential election....
El-rufai is never a politician but a talkative and a nuisance....
Yes. This could also be a time the present government will need to work harder to alleviate the sufferings in the country, thereby gaining confidence of Nigerians.
With this new SDP, who will be on the ballots for 2027?
Wike may be right here about Ijaws being a minority tribe in the South. That an Ijaw man became a president of Nigeria is a privilege, and not because of the tribe. Most people wouldn't have known the Ijaw tribe in Nigeroa, if not for Jonathan as a president
Truths9ja: Protest Erupts Over Wike's Controversial Statement on Ijaw Pride and Late Pa. E.K. Clark
Bayelsa, Nigeria — Tensions soared in Bayelsa State following the latest remarks made by Former Rivers State Governor and the FCT Minister- Nyesom Wike, which sparked a major protest led by the Ijaw National Frontiers. The protest was in response to Wike's controversial statement that described the Ijaw ethnic Nationality as Minority in the South. Wike's comments were perceived by many in the Ijaw States in the Niger Delta as an attack on the pride of the Ijaw people.
In a speech made earlier this week by Barr. Wike was perceived in a derogatory manner to the Late Ijaw Stateman Pa. E.K. Clark, a prominent Ijaw leader, a remark that many found disrespectful and divisive. Pa. E.K. Clark, who passed away in 2025, had long been a revered elder statesman, known for his tireless advocacy for the Ijaw people, their rights, and their cultural heritage. Barr. Nyesom Wike should allow Gov. Sim Fubara to govern River state in peace, creating division and undermining the incumbent governor will would rather bridge the peaceful coexistence with the Ikwerre people and the Ijaw people will not take that from the FCT Minister- Nyesom Wike.
The Ijaw Nation condemned Wike's statement, calling it "an insult to the Ijaw people" and "an affront to the dignity of our ancestors." The protest which saw thousands of people gather in the heart of Bayelsa's capital, Onopa-Yenagoa to demand an apology from the FCT Minister- Wike and a public retraction of his comments.
In a speech, Presented by Mrs. Peremor Opiah (Spokesperson, Ijaw National Frontiers) emphasized that Pa. E.K. Clark’s contributions to the Ijaw nation could not be belittled by any individual, regardless of their position or status. She said, “Pa Clark’s legacy is etched in the history of our people. His work transcended generations and will continue to inspire. Any statement that seeks to diminish that legacy is a direct attack on the pride of every Ijaw man and woman.” By the termination of the protest, the group submitted a letter to the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria - His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the commissioner of Police, Bayelsa state.
The protest, while peaceful, has created ripples within political circles, with many wondering whether this controversy could escalate into a larger ethnic or political conflict within the Niger Delta region.
She attended and took the time for Nigerian delegate to talk. Even the Chairperson of IPU apologised to Nigerian representative for not having time to talk
Obiedun: Since both of them are perpetual defectors, I will advise they do. This is not the first time. Waka waka politicians. Since both of them are desperate for power, they will fight dirty. Since both of them are perpetual losers, they will still lose.
If they do, then SDP will be an opposition to beat!
MAR2012: Lair! You supported him for two reasons. 1. Moslem/Moslem ticket W. You were sure of a juicy position I'm his Government.
The way to stop Tinubu in 2027 is to ensure he's not in the ballot.
Those cases that were sidelined because Primaries and elections have taken place can be filed prior to Primaries. Be ur cases of fake identity, drugs, educational issues etc.
FreeStuffsNG: I doubt if you understand that it's a political stunt because you don't sack an Ambassador without first recalling your own simultaneously.
If this is true, then the American US Ambassador to South Africa just lost his job
You think there won't be alternative positions for him?
You can't compare the two posts - being an Ambassador in the US from a developing nation, and a US Ambassador to a developing country
