Nigeria has not managed well the presidential system, they want to complicate it the more. Ok, kwontinu
b0rn2fuck: Useless landlord , what would he have done to the type of us that will climb fence into another compound to go and plug apple fruits, mango fruits anytime me and my friends were coming back from junior secondary school then
Zionmdde: Nigerian solar panels on top of your roof
That's a very big risk na. Moreover you don't need to half importation to boost local production. Make locally produced goods more preferable and people will go for it
SmartyPants: This particular coach can't be collecting tips from these boys. He was a former player and has coached in many places. He is a big name in his own right. Moreover, he as a European and such ymcukture will be strange to him. And it's not about hairstyle either. I'm sure you will agree that none of these boys has a hairstyle as crazy as Taribo West. What they lack is something that must be instilled in you from a very young age and it can neither be taught nor instilled into an adult.
Drive comes from a strong sense of self esteem and purpose. A constant desire to be better because you have a higher purpose.
You either have it or you don't.
I agree, it's not about hairstyle. It was used as an example, though may be controversial, if it can instill discipline and remove pride from the players, it should be welcomed
I often wish he had the calibre of '94 squad players around him. The likes of Okocha, Amokachi, Finidi, Oliseh, Amunike, Siasia, Uche, Eguaveon, Iroha... He would have been a much more accomplished player.
These players you mentioned were playing with pride for Nigeria, and not for their personal ego. They were driven by passion. That is lacking in today's team
Ekaka14: For Osimhen first is his passion for winning any time he's on the pitch....I don't think he is PRIMARILY driven by any of those things you mentioned up there...May be an advantage but without winning a place in the world cup he will still be better placed unlike some of the other tiktokers on the pitch
You can obviously see who plays with passion. Yes, Osimhen does, but as a team, everyone needs to play with passion. Ndidi used to play with passion, but it seems his real age is catching up with him
Iweakbro: These guys are good individually but have serious issues functioning as a team. Do we even have psychologists on this team? These poor performances are dividends of poor mentality.
There's pride in that team. There could be cliques
SmartyPants: There is a lot of talent in that team but so little drive . Osimhen actually wants to be great but most of the others are just happy enough to wear the super eagles jersey.
This is just it!
Maybe the money they make is affecting some of them. I wish there'd be acoach who will come with so much discipline for the Super Eagles players. Even make strict controversial rules, such as no dreadlocks for anyone who wants to play, or no coloured hair
Iweakbro: These guys are good individually but have serious issues functioning as a team. Do we even have psychologists on this team? These poor performances are dividends of poor mentality.
There's pride in that team, and possibly cliques.
Most of the players earn more than the coach, and the coach Milan also be collecting tips from them. This may make it difficult to really control them. A no nonsense coach is what Nigeria needs. Not one who can be influenced by money to feature players. Nigeria needs a coach who can be mean to ask players not to dye their hairs, if they want to be in the team. Discipline is needed!
Who won't be? If they don't qualify for World Cup, they will also lose having that in their personal achievements, forget the allowances It can also boost chances of moving to bigger clubs for some players
Helgreenluv: How could you have asked a serving Senator to shut up just because he agreed with the submission of the Chairman of the panel? This woman too do sha. She always talks stupidly. Inasmuch as the Senator went to far, I believe Oby Ezekwelisi is to blame. Maybe this is how she disrespects her husband at home and she forgot that not everyone tolerates nonsense.
The Senator could have acted in a way that will demean her. His words were unnecessary
18wheeler: Maybe Nigeria should allow more serious teams to feature in the CAN. until we get serous too. It’ll be more annoying to reach the competition and still flop.
NFF should build a local team, with their real ages. Let them be ones playing friendly matches for Nigeria against other countries. The selection of players should be amongst the best from local league and University games. Develop the team, so they will work as team. Bringing multimillionaires to play for the country, they see it as a favour to the country, and not a privilege. Again, they know their spot is secured, after all they can pay the coach
Young men playing like pregnant women.. Sharp passes Zero.. heavy first touch everywhere.
Retrieve ball from opponent, use 1000 minutes dey think who you pass give.
No sharp offensiveness. Small thing, dem go pass go back. Mikel Obi pro max.
To trap ball na war. Pass nko...Zero..
Score one goal, switch off for 20 minutes.
Tinubu's evil aura rubs off on them again...
Congratulations to South Africa.
Hold the players responsible, nothing about the president is affecting them
Even if those players weren't paid allowances, they should be able to represent the country with pride. Most of these players act or play as if they are doing Nigerians favour. Damn! There are millions of footballers in Nigeria dreaming and wishing to play for the Super Eagles, so they should see this as a privilege!
rosebowl01: With the exception of a few hardworking and dedicated players, let's primarily use home-based players going forward. Regardless of the outcome, we can guarantee that they will put in their best effort. Nigeria has never been accustomed to this style of laborious football. Win or lose, we present ourselves well. The majority of this current crop of players is more concerned about their image than making sacrifices for the nation .
Said this long time ago, but there were criticisms
Your last sentence says it all. They are after Ibternational caps, and not really for the interest of Nigerians. Most of those foreign players with Nigerian background chose Nigeroa because of limited chances to represent their country of citizenship. Otherwise the likes of Nwaneri or Saka would've choosen Nigeria after attaining global recognition from their club side
