The western world has never felt this threatened by people of colour before now. |

It's our people that needs to wake up and ask for accountability from governance after they must have done what governance required of them. |

Business › Re: How Nigeria Made Monopolists Instead Of Innovators by Cmeo(m): 3:41pm On Aug 31, 2025 |
lawani: Even the professionals you are talking about are still academia. They are educated. The only advantage of using the established academia is that that is already their job, they have salaries already and it will therefore cost you less While I understand you, but cost for improving an existing product or making a new product is not really a major concern for business people (especially with large market like Nigeria) unlike the value it would add to consumers. When product gives value to consumers, then cost become less issue except in a downturn economy like now, even then volume will help bear the cost so far it meets consumers need. |
Business › Re: How Nigeria Made Monopolists Instead Of Innovators by Cmeo(m): 9:05am On Aug 31, 2025 |
lawani: Research is research. Using the academia that is already lying there is cheaper Academia that has been lying there whose only contributions are only just written papers upon papers and citations without anything tangible to show for it even in their immediate academia environment? Man, forget it, we know them as far as Nigeria's academia are concerned. I can't talk of academia in other clines though. |
Business › Re: How Nigeria Made Monopolists Instead Of Innovators by Cmeo(m): 8:45am On Aug 31, 2025 |
lawani: Instead of spending money on frivolities as a company, take your problems to the academia by sponsoring research. It is a growth strategy Why must it be academia?? Is it forbidden for a company to have it own research and development unit?? Research is not for academia only, professionals also understands research most times better than academia. |
Business › Re: How Nigeria Made Monopolists Instead Of Innovators by Cmeo(m): 8:40pm On Aug 30, 2025*. Modified: 6:30am On Aug 31, 2025 |
lawani: Innovators too can look for investors by themselves. Tesla, Space X etc were private companies initially before Elon Musk became an investor and then they became public.
Pro force has FG shares in it of the defense industry company. I think it is the foremost Nigerian company using a patent to produce.
Then companies need to learn the culture of taking their problems to the academia. The academia can solve any problem
Then we don't really have monopolies in the country again Did you mean our academia that studied with our local raw materials all these while and couldn't turn it to a product? To be honest with ourselves, majority of our academia are "failure renamed". |

Saao: that is a good advise but if you r smart person you would know that people are no longer farming because of insecurity hence the high cost of food. im a farmer currently with over 10ha. govt allocated farm land. im not depending on govt in anyway but somethey called conducive environment is needed by govt. so i maybe more productive than you, some of you were paid 30k here to defend bad government, continue to defend them until you meet the failure of govt face to face. If you are not producing due to insecurity, then you can't stop those who are producing despite insecurity not to charge their price. Be more creative with the 10ha allocated to you. Think of more stakeholders engagement, while we collective ask government to do their part. |

Politics › Re: Negative Energy Takes You Nowhere - Bishop Kukah Tells Rufai Oseni by Cmeo(m): 1:50pm On Aug 28, 2025 |
Saao: Bishop Kukah is now working with Tinubu government, what do u expect. Those quoting me forgot that, Kukah is one of Tinubu appointee so he wont speak against his principal and he will attack anyone not supporting him. Im not supporting any candidates but sincerely ask yourself, is your life better or worse off? In my house i bought bag of rice at the rate of 100k every 3 months, just 5 family, what about school fees, rent? what about other kind of food? In a month, 200k cant feed family of 5 and someone is talking about negative energy? Kukah is eating free food and he's an appointee of the government so he needs to stop. The only people supporting or believing things are working are those earning from Government. Go and farm, establish a school and build a house, if you don't want to spend this much again and stop complaining. That way you are more productive and less reliant on government, even though I wish our government is not spending all our resources on enriching the politicians alone. |
