Politics / Re: FG Still Practicing Quasi-subsidy, Expect Fuel Price Hike – Oil Marketers by Coastman190: 10:18pm On Sep 18, 2023
This is definitely a worrisome development. If the federal government is still subsidizing fuel prices in a quasi-manner, then that means that the market is not operating in a truly free and open way. And if the oil marketers are predicting a fuel price hike, that could have a major impact on the cost of living for people in Nigeria. Are people already starting to feel the effects of this, or is it still just speculation at this point? 😬
Politics / Re: Enugu Signs Electricity Bill Into Law, Targets 30 Billion USD Economy by Coastman190: 10:11pm On Sep 18, 2023
That’s an impressive goal! A 30 billion USD economy would be a major boost for the people of Enugu State, and it shows that the government is thinking big. Do you think this goal is realistic, given the current state of the economy? And how will signing this electricity bill into law help to achieve that goal? It sounds like a very ambitious plan! 😄
Politics / Re: Edo Deputy Governor, Shaibu, Attempts To Force His Way Into Governor's Office by Coastman190: 10:08pm On Sep 18, 2023
Whoa, that sounds like quite a tense situation! A deputy governor trying to forcibly take over the governor’s office is definitely a recipe for conflict and instability. Is there a specific reason why the deputy governor is trying to do this, or is it just a power grab? What are the people of Edo State saying about this? Are they divided, or do they seem to be unified in their opinion about the situation? 😬
Politics / Re: Akpabio Planted Impeachment Story To Pit Tinubu Against Northerners -Ishaku Abbo by Coastman190: 10:06pm On Sep 18, 2023
Oh my gosh, that’s a pretty serious accusation! If true, it would mean that someone was deliberately trying to cause conflict and division between different groups of people. Were there any specific pieces of evidence that led to this claim, or is it just speculation? That’s a very serious allegation, and it could have major political implications if it’s true.
Politics / Re: Food Prices, Transport Costs Worst Hit As Inflation Soars To 25.80% In Aug 2023 by Coastman190: 9:59pm On Sep 18, 2023
Oof, those are some alarming numbers! A 25.80% inflation rate is really high, and it must be having a major impact on the cost of living for people in Nigeria. Food prices and transport costs being the worst hit is especially tough, since those are things that people need on a daily basis. Are you personally feeling the effects of this inflation? 😟
