I patronised just 20kg liver from him and even when my funds that was made available to him was not enough, he helped me with the liver and crop combo...

The meat was delivered to me on time, very fresh, and guess what??...i sent funds to him even when I have never met him in person...

Hello Samjr,

You can get a smart and courageous dog in any breed of dog, what I believe you should ask yourself is what do you desire out of a dog. For example, if you were to buy a car to move from point A to B, any car would be great but your requirements on which brand you will get would be influenced by probably your marital status, time and affluence, its the same thing with a dog.

I would use myself as a case study, my first dog was a GSD (may her soul rest in peace), afterwards I craved for a Rot because I felt they had a strong pressence, but upon carrying out a small research, I changed my mind on Rots, due to the fact that I have kids and Rots temperament does not go too well with kids except when they are properly socialised, even at that, most tend to be impatient with kids.

So I went for a Boerboel because of their stable temperament and they been great with kids, till date I have never looked back on my choice, my kids play with them freely and they are very tolerant with belligerant kids, they show a lot of confidence, and on the other hand they are very territorial when they see strangers and their massive body and strength is something nobody would want to dare.

When we are out on a stroll, or public places, most people are so scared of getting close due to their looks but are shocked how my kids play with them, I call them "THE GENTLE GIANTS" ...however if I was single, I probably would have gone for a Rot

I virtually grew around pets and I love dogs a lot, so I thought it would be nice to have my kids have a feel of what it is growing up with dogs too, and I must confess, the lil one loves them so much and they also return her love.

The sight of seeing dogs eaten, slaughtered or kept in cages on their way to pepper soup joints and markets makes me depressed every time. Today, I did the unthinkable, a neighbour in my new area is a middle man for the purchase of these cages of dogs. Sometimes he leaves them outside I the cold, with no proper shelter or food, till he is ready to go to the devil's market with them. The glare of those dogs in the overcrowded cages breaks my heart each time. . Therefore today, without anyone looking I cut the ropes and released the dogs. About nine of them. Some took off at full speed while the foolish ones stayed back in shock and confusion. I quickly dropped the seven thousand Compensation into the cage and ran away. I really feel happy at my criminal behaviour and also bad as that man has been raining curses on the street. I need to park out be that. Cheers

Eddygourdoo wins (Tekken voice)....LOL, nice one man, you are a true hero broff. I canot imagine that sight. I persoanlly share fences with a neighbour that butchers dogs as bush meat, anytime he kills one, I hear the dog give out a loud cry, or it barks till it squils then a dead silence. I have boerboels in my compound and every night I release them, they cannot help barking at the fence I share with this neighbour.

Anytime I stroll with my dogs, I see the man's kids looking at my dog and licking their lips, in one occassion I over heard one lady even telling one of the kids in front of their compound that : "Chaiiiiiiii, this one go sweet for peppersoup oh, e go just full pot", I felt irrirtated and as I looked at them, I had a crippy feeling that I was looking at Clifford Orji (The Cannibal)..

My Dogs are a year and three months old & 9 months old respectively. Different breeders have their own different feeding formulae, it all depends on what works for you.

As for me I feed my dogs one heavy ration at night which comprises of your regular rice and chicken. The chicken parts are gotten from the abbartoir and it comprises of the head and legs basically. It affordable and works magic. In the mornings I give them their regular cereals which you can get to buy in any good pet shop, I actually mix it with milk, just a regular ration, nothing too much

For pups, it all depends on the age and your pocket, people say feeding a dog is expensive, I say it could be cheap and effective if you wanted it to be so. I have tried pap (akamu) mixed wif milk and crayfish, sometimes I substitute the cray with boiled egg and it works wonders too, that's for pups within 2-4 months age range (depending on the breed too)

Remember feeding ur dog well in its formative years counts a lot.
