Wilfred Ndidi goofed in letting that ball get over to the DR Congo striker and NWABALI with zero reflexes to deny them. 1:1

You think Congo are easy like that grin
I don't think: I actually know.
I know SUPER EAGLES are superior in all facets from the Goalkeeping through to the attack and likewise our bench with options.
Secondly, despite the paper quality of the Camerounians they only managed to score 1 goal against the Camerounians.

NIGERIA TO WIN BY A 2 GOAL MARGIN IS MY FORECAST FOR THE NIGERIA VS DRC GAME. HOPEFULLY 1ST GOAL TO COME BEFORE THE 52ND MINUTE.

We haven't lost to a nation below tier 1 in African football during a crucial knockout stage since the 80s (possibly longer). These are the teams that have beat us in a knockout stage:

1984 - Cameroon
1988 - Cameroon
1990 - Algeria
1992 - Ghana
2000 - Cameroon
2002 - Senegal
2004 - Tunisia
2006 - Ivory Coast
2008 - Ghana
2010 - Ghana
2019 - Algeria
2021 - Tunisia
2023 - Ivory Coast

All of these teams are definitely tier 1 African teams.

When we do face teams lesser than tier 1 in do or die games, we must prevail.

Two examples: 1994 AFCON where we beat Zambia and 2013 AFCON where we beat Burkina Faso.
Accurate!

Fixed 😃😃

After we beat DR Congo, make them bring Brazil come 🫴🏾 I wan check something.
Why Brazil? We played a draw with them in a friendly few years ago and their team was not depleted then we held them to a draw.
Good idea though.
However, I will prefer a friendly against Argentina, Morocco, Croatia, Belgium and Spain if/when we eventually qualify for the World Cup Proper.

Oga you are not a sort of sooth sayer or what ever

Make that Benin 4-0 hype no enter your head o

Nigeria will beat Congo on Sunday so rest
Keep quiet with your talk of hype. I don't seek fake recognition from folks that cherish mediocrity. When some of you said NIGERIA vs GABON will end on a low of less than 3 goals I said Nigeria will score minimum of 3 but Gabon will not match us in scoring.
I also stated that Congo is our future opponent ahead of the game and that will be an easier path so what exactly is hype? Disappear with your pointless counter talk abeg.

Nigeria will win and score 3 or more goals against Gabon. What is unsure is if we will beat our next opponent. This is not hype nor de ja vu of France 98 but soon to become reality.

Wetin you dey yarn?
Wetin you understand or misunderstand?
Akinsanmiro is an average if not below average player for now playing for a hapless team albeit loaned out to a hapless bottom placed team.
I will rather make a case for including a GIFT ORBAN in attack than an Ebenezer Akinsanmiro in our midfield based on all Serie A matches both have played.
Conclusively some recommendations seen and supported here bear some undertone of ethnicity. Same with not calling out Ademola Lookman's flaws just because of an APOTY award.

Abeg Mk we slow down for hype sometimes abeg
The hype seems borne out of ingesting fermented kunu mixed with pastis. Too much nonsense in the name of scouting for a great midfielder.
When some of us called for the re-introduction of Ejuke some wacked fellas branded him primary school dribbler alas today he has proven them wrong.
Akinsanmiro will not bench anyone in the current midfield setup not even Alhassan on a bad day.

Mk we stop making it seem as if he is the missing puzzle in our midfield. Will be a great addition but I don’t see him adding anything special or extra

E don do abeg 🤦‍♀️
Akinsanmiro will get his chance with the future Olympic Eagles maybe as an overage.

Good win but our midfield will need to improve in the final.

I think we are better off dropping Lookman for Onyeka. Onyedika will need to start since Ndidi is suspended for the final.

Start off more solid and if need be, get more attacking later. My proposed formation:

Osayi
Fredrick
Bassey
Sanusi

Onyeka
Onyedika
Iwobi

Chukwueze
Osimhen
Simon
Akor and Osimhen Starting always.
Ejuke and Onyeka to start against DR Congo(our likely opponents)

Zellas:
Gabon is just afraid of us, they would have utilized our empty midfield.
Remove Akor and fortify our midfield and we will have different options of scoring.
Remove Lookman for Simon for more supply to Osimhen and more defensive duty.
Remove iwobi for any player even defender.
On the contrary, Akor stays. Lookman or Chukwueze off for Chidera Ejuke. Some creativity is needed in attacking midfield
