toba: sweet Revenge. I saw Ronaldo de lima in the commentary box and he was shocked to see Klose out score him

Thomas Muller will equal 16 goal and even go past it latest 2022 WC
I agree with you... cool

As for Ronaldo de lima he would be more disappointed @ the scoreline than his broken record... grin embarassed grin

Obviously records are meant to be broken but as for that scoreline its a historical shame on Brazil as a footballing giant having won a record of 5 World Cups... tongue grin

Everybody in Germany agrees that there's a Guardiola influence on the team, but what loew did better on is defense. Hummels came and improved very well. I remeber before he got injured at BVB, he was not as good as this, but when he returned and played against Madrid in the 2 nil win, i began to respect him more. He started against Portugal, solid rock
Agreed... cool

SportsWorld Reacts To Brazil’s Humiliating 7-1 Defeat To German In World Cup Semifinal by coded01(op):
World reacts to Brazil’s humiliating 7-1 defeat to Germany in World Cup semifinals

Germany slot seven past Brazil in an incredible 90 minutes

THE sporting world was in shock on Wednesday as Brazil suffered their equal worst defeat in their history on the worst possible stage, in a staggering 7-1 mauling by Germany.

It was called Brazil’s “night from hell”, and the “worst humiliation for any team at a World Cup” and will leave scars for decades, if not centuries.

Pain and tears ran deep on the faces of Brazil fans and players.

RECORDS TUMBLE AS SCOLARI BEGS FOR FORGIVENESS

The proud footballing nation — so stunned by the 1950 final loss on home soil they ditched their white shirts and introduced the now famous yellow and blue kit — stumped up $11 billion to host this tournament.

Germany trashed the joint.

“It was simply too much. Too brutal, Too excruciating. Too painful to watch,” wrote Martin Samuel in the Daily Mail.

“Six minutes of football that would live in the memory — Brazil 0 Germany 1, to Brazil 0 Germany 5. In six minutes. Six minutes. It needed repeating, digesting. There has never been a World Cup semi-final like this.”

German newspaper Bild was almost speechless. Their front page headline Ohne Worte translating to “Without words!”

In the Daily Mirror, Martin Lipton feared for a football nation.

“In shame. In humiliation. In tears of utter shock, disbelief, disrepair, records rewritten for all the wrong reasons.

“The hearts of a nation of 200 million people were not just broken here in the Estadio Mineirao last night.

They were smashed into a billion tiny pieces. Irreparably.”

Brazil prepares for trouble after shock defeat

Spanish sports paper Marca wrote: “The Germans ... can lay claim that Tuesday night’s beat-down of Brazil is the most dominating performance in World Cup history. Adding to the indignity of it all, the crowd shouted ‘Ole!’ with each completed German pass to complete the darkest hour in the history of Brazilian football.”

Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff added to the gloom.

“Like every Brazilian, I am very, very sad about this defeat. I am immensely sorry for all of us. Fans and our players,” she wrote on Twitter.

Brazil’s national media dubbed the team’s record loss - equal to a 6-0 defeat by Uruguay in 1920 - the “Shame of Shames”.

Newspapers and TV commentators called the defeat the “Mineirazo,” an allusion to the Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte and Brazil’s traumatic Word Cup defeat at home in 1950 known as the “Maracanazo.”

The sport’s daily Lance called the crushing loss “The Biggest Shame in History.” “The Maracanazo becomes nothing and literally a thing of the past,” the newspaper said on its website.

The top of Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper’s website was titled “Historic Shame” while

Globoesporte.com called it the “Shame of Shames”.

“Miracle” and “historic” were the words which cropped up as the German online media hailed the 7-1 humiliation of the World Cup hosts.

“Unbelievable! Gigantic! Fantastic!” the Bild daily said in its online edition with the headline “Thank You, We Love You.”

Die Welt online headlined the win: “The miracle of Belo Horizonte is already legendary.” “Germany defeats Brazil and moves into an eighth World Cup final with a performance which is hard to grasp even using historical parameters,” it wrote.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung headlined its website “The seventh football miracle” and said the win was “an historic monumental work.” The Sueddeutsche Zeitung said: “Germany goes to Rio, Brazil goes home” in its online edition.

Stern magazine described the victory as the “the most spectacular performance in Germany’s World Cup history.”

There was concern for Brazil’s players from former stars.

“It will be difficult to recover,” said former Brazil midfielder Juninho Paulista.

“Some players I don’t think will be back to wear the Brazilian shirt. It is wrong now to criticise the players. On the field, Germany taught us how to play football. We have to learn from that.” “I would worry that the Brazilian players might never recover from this,” said Rio Ferdinand. “Some might not be able to come back from this.”

Not everyone was sad to see Brazil torn apart, including Argentine great Diego Maradona.

In nigh on half a century of watching football, that's the most extraordinary, staggering, bewildering game I've ever witnessed. said Gary Lineker
