Is it only pume candidates Dat Ar applying for mbbs,u seems to have forgotten direct entry candidates,man know man,catchment and elds.

For them to have made cutoff 80% then there would still be space provided for other candidates. What do you think is the purpose of cutoff?

Dapo777: I just got a feedback from an insider at Ui, that they held a meeting concerning those who had 79% in mbbs to consider dem because 50 something students had 79%.......there is still hope for those with 79%......

No-51 on THE LIST SCORED 57%. Now my questn is;- 1-is it jst 54candidates dey wnt 2accept 4 psychology dis yr? or 2-THE REMAININ SLOP IS 4 LECTURERS/PROFS? Or what do u peeps think? Am sure dis is d same with all other COURSES/DEPARTMENTS. Which means dis is tru & it happns in all schls,cnt believ it! Plz drop ur contributnz,tnx

Marc9: As far as I'm concerned, UI messed up with watever criteria they used in offering dos 6 scholarships! Who's beta, a candidate dat scored 201 in utme and 60 in post umte, or a candidate with 210 in utme and 51 in post utme?! As far as I'm concerned, UI trivialised Utme by nt taking the score into account, afterall, a lot of candidates wrote CBT jamb whch was 100% fair, as much as PPT whch was also fair dis year, so y was scholarship based on post-utme alone, but nt jamb?! Y didn't they tel us prior dat scholarships wld be awarded to 6 best candidates in post utme?!. I'm gona drag dis stuff with dem on d day of d registration/screening. #seriously vexing over here#

Na after d test dem com dey announce am. Dis is crazy! Abeg, how many of una get above 77?..... Apart frm the 94, 88, 82, and d 79 I know. Any1 else ?

Marc9: UI c'mon! I deserve dis 'scholaryacht' wit all due respect. I get plenty responsibilities for my head, and I really need dis una study aid. I proved 'meself' in utme, and defended it in ur p.utme, will sweep una off una feet for oral test sef, so I deserve dis, biko nu! I dey humbly beg!

Marc9: Like I said earlier, UI doesn't use the Post utme score alone in fixing departmental cut-off marks. Some said UI did last year, and I asked dem, "did UI state the criteria they used in fixing d cut-off for last year ?" 1st of all, d post utme questions were cheaper than those in jamb. 2nd of all, d english had fewer or missing subject areas like phonetic, stress, and lexis, and likewise in other subjects . Almost 90% of candidates scored above 50% in dis post utme. So why would a cheaper test of knowledge be used alone in fixing cut-off, over an aggregate score (utme/8 + p.utme/2)? D fact remains, UI is using aggregate score, and nt just post utme alone. 210/8 + 70/2 = 61.25(appx 61!) Dis was wat UI likely did last year, but most candidates misconstrued d aggregate for post utme score. I stil stand to be corrected.
