Elfmannisback: Has she done her IELTS? I believe 438 should get you ITA if only you can retake. If not, wait all into next year. Thanks. She has but will need to write again to achieve Clb 9. |

Favoured2505: Do you know anyone who has been able to view his/her result online? I don't know anyone. At least the two people I know still can't view their results online and I know a couple of people here too were waiting yesterday. I think this is general. But someone got hers on Friday by going to their office. |

Ok people i need advice.
Currently in the pool with a score of 434. 5points to be deducted on next birthday (June 1st). First ielts (LRSW - 8,7.5,7,7.5). Second ielts (LRSW - 8.5,9,7.5,6.5) - was hoping for CLB 10
Spouse MBA final result will be out later this year by Oct I think. If she becomes the PA, crs will be 456 with a CLB 9.
So my question is should I write again in July and work towards CLB 10 which will give me 438 or I relax till Oct for spouse MBA result before i continue the journey considering ECA will take sometime too. |

muta18: Good morning my e-family.
Please I need your advice and opinion on this issue.
Is it possible to dive into the pool (create Express Entry profile) with the wife (PA's) ECA & IELTS and hubby's only IELTS without ECA in order to avoid tie-breaking rule since the hubby's ECA is not yet ready. That'll give, for example, a CRS score of 436.
Will it be possible to update the hubby's ECA (8points) after diving into the pool which will shoot the CRS score to 444.
Please elders in the house kindly weigh in.
Thank you. Yea this is possible. You can always update ypur profile while in the pool. |

My advice will be to go for your MOD test and try to max it out while you stay in the pool. The next draw will drop to at least 440 because no IELTS result between now and the next draw (hopefully 23rd). The reason the score stayed at 441 today was because over 1,000 people entered the pool between 4th of May and today due to the result that came out on Friday. No point waiting 10weeks just to earn 3 points. TEECANN: Thanks to everyone who have reached out to me since morning on this much anticipated draw of today.
Great, it is out @ 441
But not yet uhuru for your guy...I am feeling firsthand what is it that people who miss ITA feel- to have almost clinch something and it slipped away, just like that!
I got denied with the TIE BREAKING RULE- profiles of December 12, 2017 and older, scaled through.
To think that my profile of October 22, 2017 got ineligible days ago is painful. I just created a new profile after that incident on May 1, 2018 and thereby couldn't clinch ITA with a 441.
I NEED ADVICE, PLS HELP STRATEGIZE WITH ME:
1. My IELTS is LRWS- 8, 8.5, 7, 7 (I know I did enough to get a 7.5 at least in the speaking- I'll leave writing for BC- Is it wise to order for EOR considering that it will take 10 weeks to come and four (4) ITAs would have been declared within that space of time- what if the CRS cutoff drops and I'm still awaiting my remark scores? (NB: a 7.5 in speaking will boost me to 444)
2. I have MOD slated for Saturday- 12th May- my speaking test was ok and I hope that my LWR will be fine too. The MOD result should be out by Friday, 25th May. Should I wait for MOD result to be out (to see whether I can use it to boost CRS) before ordering a BC's EOR (if at all, it will be advisable to go that route)
3. Should I just wait with my 441 in the pool and watch trends for 2 months (4 ITA draws) to see whether the cut-off will drop to below 440 range?
NB: I dont know whether anyone is monitoring the trend which is fast becoming interesting. I have been following express entry since late 2016 and over the period through 2017, I have noticed that information about Express Entry- that started in 2015- is fast becoming more and more popular amongst young workers (age advantage), highly educated (with masters) and wicked IELTS scores at the first attempt, both in Nigeria and worldwide, who are constantly diving into the pool with wickedly high CRS and with better understanding of what opportunities awaits them in Canada against the zero chances that they have at home.
The implication of this is that the CRS cutoff will increasingly become difficult to drop (as I suspect that the cutoff is being determined by graphing) unlike 2017 when the popularity of EE wasn't so a household thing as it is now (I may be wrong though)
Virtually every young and not so young professional and office worker in most offices in Nigeria have heard about the EE process, check out the crowd on IELTS test days, then you will understand what I'm saying.
Please help proffer a likely way forward to my scenario!
It will all end in praise IJN! |
