It's a fee that is charged on every unilag student per session. Its 5,000 per student per year. The money is then paid to first-class student every session (50,000) per first class student.

Unilag has been collecting the 5k from students for years but hasn't been paying the first class students. I can confirm that between 2016 and 2022, they only paid once!

what if more than 10% of students make first class? Thats like an incentive to award poor grades to student n deny them first class in order to have endowment funds. Wow.
