Those banking apps is best suited for people without CSCS. During the process of application, a cscs will be created for them. Even though they may not be able to use it until they follow up with the brokers they chose so they can complete their KYC properly.

For you that already have a cscs, it's best to have separated your approach from the way the newbies are going about it

Well, i had a not so similar experience. I bought through my stockbroker with a website they circulated., I have no option of filling any CHN or CSCS number. After, the transaction was completed they sent me an SMS quoting one of my CHN (i have two with the said broker) but with a wrong CSCS number (which means creating a new account for me under the same broker). I contacted my stockbroker and she said there was nothing to worry about. That once allotment is done the new account created for would be merged with the one having the CHN quoted. So, that is my story.

I commend the digitalization of the NGX for the purchase of this Dangote Refinery IPO, but they could have also given room to who will like to fill a form (not necessarily those buying 50,000 units). What this will create will be people having numerous CHN and CSC numbers. In the long run i will even merge the two accounts with the said broker to have a consolidated portfolio. Having more than two account does not really serve any purpose.

Greetings everyone, please advice from experienced investors here. I subscribed for Dangote Refinery shares through SquadCo/GTCO.

During the application, I selected “I have an existing CSCS/CHN”, entered my existing CSCS/CHN details, and selected Morgan Capital Securities as my stockbroker.

However, after completing the application, the purchase notification showed a different CSCS number and CHN from the ones I entered.

SquadCo/GTCO also confirmed that my application was successfully recorded.

I’m concerned because I specifically selected the existing CSCS option and entered my details. I did not provide the different CSCS/CHN details that appeared in the notification.

My questions are:

1. Could this be a normal processing/account-mapping issue?
2. Which CSCS account will my allotted shares eventually be credited to?
3. Should I resolve this with Morgan Capital, SquadCo/GTCO, Dangote IPO support, or CSCS before allotment?
4. If the shares are credited to the other CSCS account, can they later be transferred to my preferred account?

Has anyone experienced something similar with this IPO or a previous IPO? I’d appreciate any insight.Thanks

My fear exactly, I think she’s intentionally staying in order for that to happen. I pray it doesn’t happen that way.

There’s something I’ve been thinking about seriously, and I feel I need to handle it carefully.

I have a girl I’m currently dating who has been staying with me. I had actually told her that she should go and come rather than make my place her permanent home.

Earlier this year, when her rent was due, she asked if she could move her things to my place. I said no at the time because I already knew that situations like this could eventually arise. Instead, I decided to assist her with part of her rent. The interesting thing is that the room is still available and currently has no occupant.

However, now that she is staying with me, whenever I bring up the issue of her going back to her place, she tends to avoid the discussion. Honestly, I’m getting tired of the situation, and at this stage, I feel confused about how best to handle it.

I have deliberately avoided using force or speaking harshly to her because I do not want to hurt or disrespect her. A friend even advised me to use force since she has been unwilling to leave, but I do not believe that is the right approach. I would rather handle the matter calmly and respectfully.

I have also tried to explain to her that asking her to return to her place does not mean that I am avoiding her or ending the relationship. I even suggested that she could come and stay with me at least three times a week, so that we could still spend time together while maintaining separate homes. My intention is to create some healthy space, not to reject her or make her feel unwanted.

At this stage of my life, I feel I need to be very intentional about marriage and the woman I eventually settle down with. I don’t want circumstances, convenience, or the fact that someone is already living with me to pressure me into settling for a relationship I’m not completely sure about.

The situation has also affected other potential relationships I was considering before now, and some of them have ended because of her presence in my life.

I care about her, but I also feel that I need some space and clarity to properly evaluate the relationship and decide whether she is genuinely the person I want to build my future with. I don’t think it is right for me to simply continue with the current arrangement because it has become convenient or difficult to change. At the same time, I want to resolve the situation peacefully, without force, insults, or unnecessary conflict.Those who had been in similar situation please how did you handle it?

It came at a very super high cost. I was constantly studying for hours then eating Python programming for months and months, with no tangible results to show then and some even mocked me that I should convert all this my passion for AI Engineering to Yahoo cause I will switch on my generator for lot of hours and many of them didn't know that I couldn't afford a new laptop then but with what I had, I kept learning and not looking back. I kept pushing and now, I'm super glad for what GOD did as a result of my waiting and diehard and intense learning and my becoming well grounded in AI Engineering before launching out. My then wife to be left me when the results wasn't there
Now the nobody of yesterday is now the one going to different organizations and institutions to both train their staffs and consult for them in AI Engineering.
My advice for anyone starting anything, even if the results hasn't showed yet, die there until you become that result.

Study their financials, their future projections, plans, their sectors and understand the factors that made them rise to these new heights and whether those factors are still relevant or applicable today or in the nearest future.
Some may go higher and some may fall.

What has been happening in NGX recently is teaching me that patience and long term focus is key when investing in some key critical sectors:
FBN has grown from N4 to N130+
WAPCO from N10 to N360+
Ikeja Hotels from 0.70k to N45+
RT Briscoe from .60K to N12+
May & Baker from N4 to N40+
Wema from 0.5 to N28+ etc
BCC (later Dangote) Cement fromN4 to N1K+

The lesson: buy into a company you know and understand the prospects, especially those in critical, strategic sectors with very few competitors and high barriers to entry e.g. cement, brewery, telecoms, oil and gas.
Long term focus in this sectors usually pay investors
