Today, federal authorities—including the Department of Justice and the FBI—announced a major coordinated law enforcement effort to disrupt international business e-mail compromise (BEC) schemes that are designed to intercept and hijack wire transfers from businesses and individuals.

Operation WireWire—which also included the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of the Treasury, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service—involved a six-month sweep that culminated in over two weeks of intensified law enforcement activity resulting in 74 arrests in the U.S. and overseas, including 42 in the U.S., 29 in Nigeria, and three in Canada, Mauritius, and Poland. The operation also resulted in the seizure of nearly $2.4 million and the disruption and recovery of approximately $14 million in fraudulent wire transfers.

A number of cases charged in this operation involved international criminal organizations that defrauded small- to large-sized businesses, while others involved individual victims who transferred high-dollar amounts or sensitive records in the course of business. The devastating impacts these cases have on victims and victim companies affect not only the individual business but also the global economy. Since the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) began formally keeping track of BEC and its variant, e-mail account compromise (EAC), there has been a loss of over $3.7 billion reported to the IC3.

When I did mine I didn't pay for anything else but the transcript processing fee.

They said I have to pay another 10k to verify statement of result. Corruption in Nigeria is so outstanding. I was confused and woman that checked my verification from WES was laughing at me.

I went to FUTO today to collect student's transcript... I was directed to senate building to pay for transcript verification, although later they told me I have to pay another 10k for statement of result verification. There are about 500 to 700 verification letters from WES waiting to be verified... If you know you received email from WES that you transcript has been sent to your school for verification and you haven't paid for verification, I urge you to get down to school. I have so much to say about FUTO and transcript processing but let me mind my business and beside is getting late.

I just confirmed some staff in exams and records were redeployed.

I learnt that there was a redeployment of key staff members responsible for processing transcript in FUTO. I believe this is a right step in the right direction.

FUTO dispatched some transcripts last two weeks. Mine is among and destination is WES but I'm yet to get tracking no.

I applied for my transcript from FUTO for the first time since July 2017. Apparently, their system won't have alerted them if I hadn't made a printed copy of my receipt and presented it to them.

I have called, physically gone to find out the reason for the delay but to no success and we are in November.

Currently, they are yet to type my transcript. I've never heard of or experienced this level of incompetency and that is why I'm trying to find out if it's just me or is my alma mater crumbling?

The coordinator refuses to sign the transcript. thats latest report

for them to process your transcript, you need to have someone there. Those exam and records staff are reluctant to attend to transcript. I paid for transcript same time with you. Although my transcript is out but coordinator is yet to attest on the transcript. If you really want to get your transcript you need travel to school.
