Nothing to be confused about bro....if you own a business or intend to own one, then it will not just need a website, but one with a blog. The blog part of the site is for you to use to add extra value, provide both formal and informal, serious and fun information about your business, products and services to your clients and targeted audience.

In the other hand...if you just want to tell your story or the stories of things happening around you or your interest or a subject you're passionate about in different niche like Health, sport and entertainment , and you want to do this daily/weekly as it happens in different format ( pictures, videos etc ) then what you just need is a BLOG ( using either WordPress, Blogger or the rest )

One can actually break his/her tongue trying to differentiate both......

I guess you meant content style....as content style is different for both......

Normal websites too can serve as personal site as well, that's what portfolio websites are meant for, for both individuals and professionals

Using 'Dead' and 'Stagnant' to describe websites sounds extreme.....some peps websites are fairly regularly updated...

All blogs are websites, but not all websites are blogs. But is naij a website or blog? Note that it is always updated and might (dunno how true) not be on a CMS.

This is wrong.

80% of website pages are dynamically generated. Is Nairaland a blog? NO! Is it dead? NO! It's more active than most blogs.

Is Google a blog? NO! is it dead? NO! It's one of the most used internet tools today.

What about gmail? What about quora and stackoverflow? What about jamb.org online result checking? It has more traffic than most blogs.

Many people confuse websites with newspapers and TV. Yes majority are blogs and forums but not all are. Some sites are built for something completely different. I've seen a website that helps you solve an equation directly and offer the answer for copy and paste. What do you call that?

Is that the only abbreviation on there? It doesnt hurt to ask questions nicely, if i can take my time to write this among others, answering any question on this won't be a problem.

CMS: Content Management Systems eg WordPress, Joomla and Drupal which all you can use to build websites/blogs. You can see a list of other CMS here https://www.capterra.com/content-management-software/
