A Facebook user named Onyedika Emmanuel
Shared some photos of his brother brutally
beaten in kano.

He took it to Facebook to express his grief and
disappointment in the Nigerian police. He
wrote-"

This is my brother Augustine, he was brutally beaten by
hishba police and Nigerian police of Kano state
to
the extent of fracturing the two bones in each of
his legs .

According to his own account, before he
got to sabongari market Kano this morning,
hishba and Nigerian police had blocked the
market asking traders to go back home, when
the
traders mobilized to protest against the attempt
to shutdown their business premise, the Islamic
police, hishba and Nigerian police unleashed a
gruesome attack on them, unfortunately my
brother and about 20 other Igbo traders were
victims of the heinous attack.

Emeka, a native of Awka in Anambra state who
lived in Middle road Sabon gari Kano, got
married
earlier this year and his wife was three months
pregnant before the incident. The problem began
when Emeka got home from a wedding last
Saturday..

He received a call from someone and
the wife suspected that it was another woman
that Emeka was calling and she snatched the
phone from him and threatened to do something

A well known member of the Enlightened
Chritian Gathering, led by Sheperd Bushiri has
shocked the congregation after she
committed suicide a few meters from the
church premises in Pretoria.

Susan Manda, originally from Malawi, is said
to have gone into depression after a video
showing herself dancing and gyrating her
bum to the camera went viral.

The woman,
who was gifted with an angelic voice decided
was always the center of attraction each
time she sang because of her voice.
Her
death comes as a shock to many.

Relaying the shocking news to LiveMonitor, a
member of the congregation said the video
was made public over the weekend and
Susan did not show up to church on Sunday.

“It went viral on Friday and
Saturday. As you
can see , she was entertaining the
man on
video .

She is unmarried and all along we
thought she was single . We think the
incident
happened in January when she took
a holiday
to Durban”,

It was not immediately ascertained how she
took her life but some suggest she drank
poison because she did not have any visible
injuries.

News of the death was hard to accept for
many as social media was awash with
people expressing their disbelief. Her body
will probably be repatriated to Malawi.

The local Police has arrested a 45- year- old
man , Mr Anokye from Oseikwame in Asunafo
North , Brong Ahafo Region , Ghana for brutally
beating his 3- year- old son, Kwabena .

According to the Facebook user, who shared
the photos , the man beat the little boy
mercilessly after he allegedly defecated in the
bedroom.

The police command in Borno
on Tuesday confirmed the
killing of five persons in a
suicide bomb attack in
Konduga Local Government
Area of the state.
The spokesman of the
command, Victor Isuku, made
the confirmation in a
statement in Maiduguri.

“Information received from
Konduga has it that on
Monday at about 2130 hrs,
three Female suicide bombers
detonated explosives strapped
on their bodies at Shuwa
settlement of Mandarari
Ward Konduga , killing
themselves and two others.

“While six persons sustained
injuries, normalcy has been
restored in the area,” Mr.
Isuku said

The command had on
Saturday confirmed a twin
suicide attack that rocked the
premises of University of
Maiduguri (UNIMAID).

According to Mr. Isuku, three
suicide bombers hurriedly
detonated IEDs strapped to
their bodies, killing
themselves and a university
security personnel.

The latest suicide attack is the
second within days, and is
coming barely a week after a
Boko Haram kingpin said in
a new video that his group
would step up attacks using
suicide bombers.

The Boko Haram commander
is said to be one of those
recently released in a swap
deal with the federal
government, in exchange for
82 Chibok school girls.

A 22 - year- old woman along with six
other suspects have been arrested by
the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos
Police Command over the sale of a day
old baby for the sum of N 250 ,000 .
Policemen who had been working on a
two- month intelligence gathering
arrested Miss Onyinyechi Osoneye who
sold the baby to Mr. and Mrs . John
Chukwu of 34 , Odeleye Aina Street ,
Okota, Lagos .

Onyinyechi confirmed the baby was
sold in connivance with one Mrs . Joy
Osoneye who helped her conceal the
pregnancy from her parents .
According to the police , Onyinyechi
was admitted to a Hospital in Ikota,
Lekki- Ajah Expressway , where Mrs
Glory Ehinmi, 35 , delivered her of a
baby boy on March 1 , 2017 .

Ehinmi then took the baby from her at
the point of delivery and gave it to
Mrs . Prisca Okocha , 45 , her sister and
the owner of Peculiar Hospital , Orilewho
offered Onyinyechi ’s mother
N250 , 000 .

The police also learnt that Mrs .
Okocha, in turn, sold out the baby to
one 59 - year- old Mrs . Regina Anyanwu
who brought the eventual buyers , Mr.
and Mrs . Ike Nwata .
Okocha confessed she sold the baby
for
N850 , 000 but gave the mother N250 ,
000 .

It was further learnt that the buying
couples who were desperately in need
of a child organised a huge party to
celebrate the baby ’s arrival .

The baby has been handed over to
the
Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs
while five suspects have been
transferred to Gender Office , State
Headquarters, Ikeja, for further
investigations.
