I'm surprised people are talking about rooting like this.

The only con I know about rooting is it voids your warranty, aside that the Pros supercedes the con.

People that don't know much about it attributes every or any faults or anomaly on their phone to rooting. which is certainly not true

Those trying to convince them by giving points or what rooting does, give it a rest.

they have made the prejudice conclusion, I don't see any comments changing it

I've played call of duty strike team before but playing it again made me realize how bad*ss this game is. It's more mature, action packed, very strategic than 80% of all android action games. The gameplay has no contest even though i like mc4 alot

that is to tell you that the people that made it know what they are doing.

Upto now I didn't receive marshmallow update. All the procedures to install OTA update thru stock recovery was in vain. I tried TWRP recovery I end up disappointed n resting my phone which I wasted almost 750mb in updating my apps again.

Pls gurus if there is anyone that flash the marshmallow manually and was successful should pls guide me to get my own marshmallowon the device.

if u gat pc, download the marshmallow update and rename it to update.zip
search google and download adb and fastboot drivers install em on your pc, download mtk vcom drivers and also install em. when done move the update to ur sdcard. on your pc to to c drive u will see adb folder (if installed correctly) as in (c:/adb) open it and hold CONTROL + SHIFT AND RIGHT CLICK and click open command window here. now connect ur phone to your pc make sure your pc detect it, now type 'adb reboot recovery' (without quote) and click enter it will boot to your phone to recovery.
disconnect ur phone u will see a dead android logo, hold power and press volume up once and u are on stock recoery. use volumn and go to apply update from sdcard and press power to select and allow it to do its thing. this might take up to 15min when it is done u will see it just select reboot and u will be on marshmallow. i hope u are not rooted.

I am not using memory card.

better move all your files to pc cause the update will format the memory. write down any contacts on phone incase if neccessary

upgraded last night.

i can access and save files on my internal memory but made a lil mistake by making it default memory.
i can connect my phone to pc and transfer file without complain.
tuner blah blah blah no dey my own.

this phone wont boot to stock recovery mode, tried all method yet if fail. any help am using 1gig ram version.
solved! i use adb to boot to recovery via pc.

Pre-Requisites:
Must be on a NON ROOTED ROM
Must have STOCK recovery, NOT custom revovery

How to Flash:
Download the zip file
Rename it to update.zip
Place it on the root of your SD Card (it shouldn't be in any folder)
Power off your phone
Hold Volume Up + Power Button
Release power button and tap volume up once you see the "Infinix" Logo
It will show you a dead Android robot with a red sign
Press Volume Up or Volume down (device dependent) to get into the stock recovery
Scroll down with Volume button to "Apply Update from SD Card"
Scroll down to the update.zip and select with the Power Button.
Install, and once installation is done, reboot your system and wait for system to start.

I cannot post screenshots because I am still rooted and still enjoying my Xposed. Probably on Thursday next week, I may update the thread with screenshot. But you're free to show proof of update if you are successful.

If you are rooted and want to install this update, you need to Flash back your stock ROM with SP Flash Tools or Infinix Flash Tool to get this update working.

By the time I'm done updating mine, I should post how to root Android M on Infinix Hot 2. Have a lovely weekend

Why does some infinix hot 2 has mobile network and some have cellular network and the one with mobile network have smaller update size.

change ur date to the date there jan.10 if it tell u to wait for a time then change ur time to that time also.

try apkmania.com to the the apk. Deletevevery traces of mc4 from your device and install. If u gat same prob reboot and install again.

I downloaded the app from revdl AMD it's not installing... "app not installed"..is there a better site to download it apart from playstore??..im using an infinix x551 lollipop device.

go to andropalace.net to get mc4 it work on updated lollipop 5.1.1.

Stock is better and bugless but custom from big dev like miui and cyanogen have less or no bug and full of customisation and tweakz.

It's a lie don't answer anybody download an old version of kingroot and go to ur setting at device administrator and active Android device monitor

u think it will root the updated android one lollipop
