The method used will not give you accurate result. All the thing you have been taking will affect your result which include meat and antibiotics. You need to see Urology next week so that it will not affect your health since your marriage is still young. You have two option for your wife to conceive.. First they will operate you to get sperm and your your wife will conceive through IVF
.Secondly, you need to see Urology to correct any damage, you can only no the cause by doing the right test. Very sure from experience that you will need to correct vein Variococele through operation but the operation is minor and you will go home that day. You don't need to be worried but take it serious.The God that help our husband will help you too. Remember to share your testimony after resolution for others to learn.

You need to see Urology urgently. You need do Doppler test, hormone test and FSH. I mentioned it yesterday that the result will not be accurate. Did you stay away from Sex,meat, Alcohol for three days before you proceed for the test?

I stayed away from sex and alcohol but ate meat ( does meat affect SFA results ?) . also I didn't use masturb****n method, I used withdrawal method during semen collection, does that affect d result also ?

Finally since I started taking d antibiotics I have been having severe internal heat and acute lower abdomen pain.

I need guidance right now.

Last week, a surgery was scheduled for me to remove the neck mass (Thyroglosaal duct cyst )

The surgery was successful but during stitching, the doctors folded part of my skin out,

When the stitches were removed, that part of the skin folded out got infected.

I have been placed on antibiotics for about 10 days .

Mid way into d use of the antibiotics, my wife's fertility clinic told her to tell me they need my semen analysis.

My question is : will my recent surgery and post surgery antibiotics treatment affect the SFA parameters ?

Pls I need answers.

So I went for the SFA and collected d result today d result showed :

Total motility = Nil
Total progressive = Nil
Normal forms = Nil
Abnormal forms = Nil
Total count 0 × 10^6
WBC = scanty
Vitality = Nil
Immobile = Nil

Now my question is can taking antibiotics affect sperm production this seriously ?

Should I repeat the SFA ? If yes, how soon ?

Thirdly if this result is not caused by the use of antibiotics , what should be my next line of action.

Fortly, which kind of specialist should I see ? A urologist or an endocrinologist or d same fertility doctor attending to my wife ?

The first time she went thru these medications, HCG was administered but she didn't ovulate nor menstruate afterwards.

I have been persuading her to convince her doctor to administer HCG , she said since the doctor has said there is no need, she would stick to that.

Am expecting her to ovulate in 3 days time, so I have reduced intercourse to once a day so as to allow my tank replenish. It used to be like 3 times every day.

Don't mind me, I am a very inquisitive guy and am trying to assist my wife by asking all these questions. She is not inquisitive at all.

I am not so conversant with PCOS treatment. I will advise she follows her docs advice. I saw 3 follicles which the doctor is waiting for to rupture.
But the fluid collection in the pouch is not a good one . let's hope the eggs rupture, fertilise and implant. But if it does not click, I see the doctor prescribing antibiotics for her in the next cycle to dry up the fluid.

The radiologist that ran the TVS, after the scan told her she would need antibiotics but said its her doctor that will prescribe...When we consulted her doctor afterwards, he said she doesn't need antibiotics.

Although she has been complaining of pelvic pains since after the scan yesterday.

Also guys, i was insisting she persuade her doctor to give her the HCG injection. what do u guys think?

I have been following this thread when after three months of getting married i observed that my wife wasn't ovulating nor menstruating.
I insisted she visit a gynea/fertility clinic. She did and after hormonal profile scan, the doctor diagnozed PCOS.

He recommended some lifestyle changes for her, to enable her lose weight.
He also placed her on 1500mg metformin and that month she menstruated and he placed her on 100mg Clomid, after some days she was sent for a TVS and it was observed that there were two follicles with average sizes 18mm and 22mm. She was then given a shot of HCG but she didnt ovulate nor menstruate.


The doctor then asked her to take a two month break and after which she started the routine afresh.
she has been on the metformin and just completed the Clomid about a week ago. She did the TVS today and i am attaching d result of the scan.


The doctor asked her not to take any HCG injection.

i want you guys to help me look at the scan result.....and give me your opinions
