This particular bird usual flies in the night and usually on the road where people are passing. When it sees humans walking on the road, it would fly ahead and perch on the road waiting for them to move closer before it flies again. You can relate if you lived in the farm before.

Now back to the story. Our forefather usually see this bird Aja perching on the rock, and we call rock Ida and we call to perch "OOku". So, Ajaokuta means the bird Aja perchs on the rock.
That was how Ajaokuta was named.

You mean £21/HR which is around 40+K per year on 40/ per week isn't a good pay in the UK? You must be joking. With what you just said now, I am 💯 certain, you don't live in the U.K for you to say this. Many GPs working for NHS earn around this figure. Nurses on band 5 don't earn up to this.

It's not a good pay and I'd rather stay in Portugal or in Nigeria and earn half that amount. After tax and insurance deductions, you'll be left with roughly 30k annually. Now, factor in just the cost of accommodations alone from the take home pay.
I lived in the UK for a short while and I'll never live there again unless I earn upwards 60k annually.
