A Destrehan High School teacher has been arrested after allegedly having sex with a student.
Destrehan English teacher Shelley Dufresne, 33, of 805 Country Cottage Blvd. in Montz, was charged with carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Her bond was set at $200,000.

According to Dufresne's school profile, she is married with three children.

The victim is 17 years old, but was 16 at the time the alleged crime took place.

A school official, who wished to remain anonymous, said that a second teacher would soon be arrested in connection with the case.

The victim bragged to other students about having sex with two teachers, which resulted in a St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office investigation at Destrehan on Friday, Sept. 26.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the crime took place in the early part of September inside a Montz home. A second incident, which involved another teacher, allegedly took place in Kenner.
