I still maintain my stance. Election was peaceful throughout South East. That they beat one man ( according to you) does not make the election violence like in South west. Forget about your claims of being smart. The statement you dug was only posted a day or two ago and you are acting as if you went to 16th century to bring it out. Ultimately how are you enjoying the product of your violence

Normally, an average Yoruba person is a coward who take every nonsense written by anybody as a threat but hides at the sound of gun shots. You guys have become so disgusting.

Endsars that Yorubas spearheaded yet you cowards can't take responsibility of breeding too many agberos in Lagos that unleashed mayhem in Lagos during the endsars, na Igbos the Yoruba default tormentor una de blame because of things Kanu said on Radio Biafra from far away London hehe. Yet it was your fellow Ronu miscreants that desecrated Oba Akiolu's palace without hiding face.

I have never seen a senseless, cowardly group of people like una, una shame de shame me. If I were you guys, I wouldn't even be saying this out cos it makes Yorubas look too weak that they are so scared of visitors even when they control the Presidency, Army, Police, EFCC, Judiciary, etc, una no get shame at all.

If Igbos hold just President, them no born any Yoruba well to make noise, Una too weak abeg, comot for road jareh, cowards shocked
This is the write up from a self acclaimed PhD student. Sounding more like a disciple of Simon Ekpa, the acolyte of the terrorist Nnamdi Kanu.
However we will not allow the mistakes of the End SARS riots to repeat itself. Be informed that the kid gloves are off and you will be treated the way you deserve if you attempt to loot, rob, burn down monuments and projects or attempt to desecrate any sacred monuments.
Continue your surreptitious subterfuge. Pretend you are not interested in the protests while covertly instigating the proposed demostrations. Your Waterloo awaits if you don't start your demonstration in Aba,Enugu, Onitsha and Okija shrine.

I am using this medium and opportunity to forewarn all Igbos in Nigeria especially.

Please don't join any protest in Nigeria against Tinubu's government.

Let those that believe the government of the man they bragged would be the best of the best correct whatever mistake they made.

Igbos you people have done enough to make Nigeria work, now is the time to focus on your individual lives, focus on that your buying and selling trade or job/career or handwork or small firm or factory or farming business or any other legitimate thing you do to earn a living and leave them alone to carry out their protest on their own.

Remember EndSars protest that started in Delta state and later moved to Lagos which Igbos later joined in solidarity and even did massively in Southeast, what happened? They spinned the truth around and blamed it all on Igbos being solely responsible for Endsars protest to destroy their Lagos state.

So please all Igbos must stay away from any planned protest. Nigeria is not Kenya. Kenyan people are united people, they are one people, Nigerians are not.

Have it in mind as an Igbo man that you are alone when it comes to Nigeria's national politics, so don't allow yourself to be used to count scores again. Don't let them use you as their scapegoat.

Stay away from anything protest for Nigeria.

Pray to your God or whatever you worship to bless the works of your hand, focus on your family, focus on helping your family and the Igbo community around you to grow, forget about protesting for Nigeria because it's a waste of time and energy, nothing will change at the end of the protest.

Any Igbo man or woman joining any Nigerian protest is mad and should be severely dealt with by the security.

If you look around already, they are already blaming Igbos for a protest their people are calling for, so shame them by staying out of anything that has to do with protest.

They said Tinubu built Lagos, please let them give President Tinubu time to build Nigeria, he is just molding the concrete blocks and this takes time, abeg Ndigbo stay away from their family affair, don't allow them use you to settle their family fight.

Share this message on Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram and all channels you know let it get to all Igbos in Nigeria.

As a proud and eminent Igbo son, I love you Igbo sons and daughters so much and will never watch you all harmed in any way, please this is the best way to keep you safe in Nigeria.

Keep your eyes on your goal to succeed in life and trust in God, no matter the economic hardship, God will definitely make a way for you and your family, protesting will never help your life.

Avoid crime and engage in legitimate business and trade and be patient, God will definitely send smile your way, if I can be where I am today, it means anybody that focus on doing a legitimate business backed with sincere prayers to God on daily basis will succeed no matter the economy of the country or policies of the government of the country.

I love you all, please stay away from their planned protest because they will definitely blame the Igbos even if they see just one Igbo man join millions of them to do a protest.

Stay safe, I love you all.

Did I hear you say a man. Just a single man in a whole region. Even if few men. You can actually score them 95% credible. But across South west, a war was declared against other parties, especially Labour Party. They even rejected their own blood brother Gbadebo, calling him Chinedu, calling Obasanjo Igbo man. Causing mayhem and havoc everywhere. If you don't accept opposition during election, then we should shed elections in Nigeria. Presidents should be by appointment, selection, or outright sale to the highest bidder. Enough said please. Let us enjoy our dear Tinubu. So far he is our tribesman, we will accept the hunger and starvation for 34 years. If you cannot cope with
it, please give up. Until we decide to get sense in Nigeria.

I guess Buhari must also be Igbo since her support is based on tribe. You people are yet to come to terms about freedom of Choice in this country. There are many Yorubas and non Yorubas in APC, Pdp and others. Thank God you confirmed she supported Buhari. Trump and Biden both had supporters in America. But a win for one is a win for all. Now that Tinubu is the president, did the hunger spare the APC supporters? Your guess is as good as mine.
Based on this your logic. Why are Ibos agitated that Yorubas voted for Tinubu during the presidential election. Why are Ibos so bitter and disturbed that Yorubas like Toyin Abraham voted for her choice in Tinubu?

I need to inform you of one thing today.
I support NO NIGERIAN POLITICIAN, because I believe they are all cut from the same cloth, unscrupulous and of no principles!
You sound like an unprincipled ,unscrupulous and accept anything kind of person.
I will tell you some thing today. The month I arrived In the UK for the first time I voted in the local council election. I did not go to the local government office. They sent someone to my house and I was registered to vote in an election taking place that month.
Before the election the candidates on the ballot visited people in their HOMES! I never attended ONE political rally.
Before the election I was sent a text message as well as a postal letter telling me where my centre to vote was and the time I had to perform my civic duty of voting.

On the date of voting I strolled to the school where I was to vote. There was no crowd. There was no rowdiness. I met the electoral officers. They gave me my materials. I entered the booth. I voted. I dropped my ballot paper. I left.
That evening the result of the election was sent to my phone via text message.
This is how proper civilisations work. This is how proper political systems work.
No blaming of the previous government by the present government. Just get to work and fulfil your electoral promises and your party agenda.

PoliticsRe: AUGUST NATIONWIDE PROTEST, A VERDICT ON NIGERIANS by confusedlady(f): 6:10am On Jul 25, 2024
Bebigiby1:
In 2023, when Tinubu announced the removal of all subsidies and floated the Naira, Nigerians stormed social media condemning the government, venting their anger over the economic chaos as result of the policy. With the past few months, Tinubu and his looting associates in the National Assembly have enjoyed trappings of government, borrowing and spending controllably, diverted billions of Naira for the purchase of SUVs, engaging in meaning less foreign trips, funding frivolous events and phantom inflated projects, while Nigerians bear the brunt of a hyper-inflation debt ridden economy saddled with high unemployment, pervasive insecurity and high cost of living. On several occasions when the news media houses report some of the atrocities of this government, Nigerians always storm social media with negative comments, venting their anger, reigning curses and posting unprintable names on Tinubu, calling for an end to the evil APC government, a sea of unending lamentations that fill the pages of online newspapers and Nairaland threads.

With the current deplorable economic situation that Nigerians are going through, the August nationwide protests should present disgruntled Nigerians a window of hope, it should be a golden opportunity for Nigerians to rewrite their story and create a new chapter towards ending the reign of their political oppressors. This protest should be what I will term the judgment day for Tinubu and all political oppressors irrespective of their party… Nigerians have posted enough on social media, it is time for action and to lay credence to the fact that Nigerians mean what they say online regarding how they feel about their government. If Nigerians fail mobilize for the protest and grab this golden opportunity then it means that Nigerians are happy with the government and only pretend not to online, it mean the sea of negative comments I read on the pages online newspapers and Nairaland are posted by bots or foolish Nigerians who don’t know what they want. August 1st 2024 will be the day Nigerians are exposed for who they really are and what they stand for, if truly Tinubu is bad leader and Nigerians are fed up with his draconian policies, the month of August 2024 will reveal the truth about Nigerians.

Already, there are indications that the leaders of many human rights groups and national organizations like the NLC, TUC and NANS are distancing themselves from the planned protest calling on the government to initiate direct dialogue with the organizers, it is glaring that some of the leaders of these organizations are sympathetic to the government either due to inherent political interests or willful neglect of the severe economic realities Nigerians are facing. It is obvious that if this protest must hold, Nigerians should know that they can not rely on any of these organizations to help or stand with them in pushing for an end to bad government policies. Also, dissecting the Nigerian social media space, it is obvious that many Nigerians has been recruited or brainwashed to turn the protest into ethnic tribal jingoistic battle, you can even see this playing out on Nairaland as the seed of division has taken root in the heart of many users in this online forum, the “Igbo Against Yoruba” and “Yoruba Against Igbo” propaganda is winning the narrative and distracting Nigerians from seeing the true picture and what they stand to gain if in unity they mobilze for the protest, this was the same playbook Tinubu and his APC political think tank deployed to distract Nigerians while they plotted and rigged the 2023 elections. It is glaring that from what is happening many Nigerians may not turn up for the protest and just like elections, Tinubu will perform his victory dance once more and continue with his looting agenda.

It will be disastrous for Nigerians if they don’t troop out in mass to protest, the failure of this planned protest will embolden callous politicians and set a dangerous precedence for what will happen in 2027. Unfortunately, Tinubu and his media warriors appear to be winning, they have succeeded in making the planned August nationwide protest a tribal contest were Igbos and Yorubas are targeted while influential figures in the north a bought over to push a placating agenda to the northern youths.

I hope I am wrong but if after all the noise and lamentations over this government and Nigerians fail to participate in this protest then it means that Nigerians love Tinubu, it mean that Nigerians are happy with his government and deserve whatever consequences they are facing as a result of his government…. I will not take any comment I read online against this government seriously going forward….. I hope Nigerians will proof me wrong….

Why are you people not focusing on the Fulanis killing, raping and kidnappings your people?

Instead you guys focus on Igbos who are not attacking you people, something is wrong with some of you guys...
I find it duplicitous that a tribe that on January 1966 used their military wing to decimate and murder the political leaders and military leaders of all other tribes in Nigeria while cunningly protecting and saving those from their own tribe in what they termed a revolution can claim to be innocent and harmless. A bloody and one sided revolution in which wives, children and staffers of the victims were fair game and cannon fodder.

The videos and broadcasts of Nnamdi Kanu's treasonous and seditious campaigns are too numerous to be listed. That is why his lawyers and supporters are against the case going to trial. If the trial proceeds there is no way he will not face a term in prison.
This is the reason the governors and law makers from the East are looking for a negotiated settlement, while trying to cast him as a victim of injustice.
It is sad that these unscrupulous politicians have not spared a single thought for the numerous victims of Kanu's reign of terror all over the country.

It is your constitutional right to protest peacefully as long as you don't attempt to loot, commit arson, destroy historical monuments and buildings or try to commit any forms of violence.....if you want to instigate violence I suggest you start from the Okija shrine in your enclave.
