oga park well..... Who do you want to kick out I will never succumb myself to you guys ego over there cos you have a God like behaviour over there. And is funny that you people that don't allow free speech over there are the same criticizing this thread. All because they said guys should tone down the rate at which they post there earnings. I won't blame you sha. Na newbie wey Una go use massage Una ego for there Una dey look for otondo
Wait wait 🫸🏿 were you among those 'kicked out' sometime earlier this year? 🤔 No wonder your moniker looked familiar to me. I didn't know you were taken off o shocked it was mostly those who were AWOL and not frequently posting that were booted out and I am sure the number was HUGE so it could have affected some innocent people by mistake undecided

If you felt it wasn't right why didn't you dm to join back? After all, many others did and got back in without stress. You shouldn't take it out on conner44 or the telegram group by badmouthing us cry

Na wah o. 2 mentions swallowed up by spambot.

Kaymaxi2222 are you by any chance trying your hardest to insult me? grin be calming down bro. Jeje - jeje abeg 🙏🏿

What wrong thing have I done now? That you said people shouldn't post dashboards here (for whatever reason you feel) and I instead said "those who wish to post such things should come to telegram" . . .

Is that why you're suddenly mad at me? undecided

stop trying to be clever by half bro......what you are doing is so annoying was it not on your group that you remove someone just because the person does not sit down well with una. Abeg park well joor, you the admin on that group has a dictatorial tendency
Yes I accept all you've labeled me. We cannot be walking on eggshells here in Nairaland and then you deliberately follow us over to telegram and still want to be having a say there where it's no longer a 'faceless' place. NO, you need to stay back here and build up this thread to resemble exactly what you feel it should be looking like isn't it? Who are you abandoning the thread for? Newbies?

For every single person that gets kicked off from that group we have genuinely good reasons, don't play. Even they themselves getting kicked out know why so who exactly are you crying for? People who actually want this thread dead so they can be on telegram with others?

I myself have only personally kicked of 2righthandsoneprik and dav1002 (the reason isn't farfetched if you've been an avid follower of this thread) and if I sense that if any other person who fall into such character descriptions comes my way over there I will also be happy kicking that person off too. Why be a lion here and turn into a cat there? I don't like such hypocritical people, they get kicked off properly to come back here and keep doing what they know how to do best.

I hope you're not on that group sha, because I will soo kick you out whenever I find out exactly who you are. There's a long line of people eagerly waiting to take your place there. You should be here posting what you feel won't make sanwo olu put out new taxation laws on ehailing drivers isn't it?

Seriously if you're on that group today just take yourself off by yourself before I open my book and search for you because I won't lie, this your username looks mighty familiar 🤔

I don't see the essence of a group when it has limit to how many people can join. Make we kuku dey here for NL

My 50kobo though
Truly the group has no use since we have a thread here but there are some people who actually believe that posting here about personal ehailing experiences can make the state and federal government create new ways to further TAX ehailing drivers in Nigeria.

Yes you heard me right, some people truly feel that THIS PARTICULAR THREAD HERE is able to make or mar the business if we keep posting in a certain way so what can we do?

There's Facebook

There's Whatsapp

There's telegram

There's Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter etc

But it's Nairaland that is the main place that the government is monitoring abi? So some of us who feel like the excuse makes no sense ported to telegram.

At least this way we are certain that no government can see what we are posting and the ehailing business won't be taxed anymore so far this thread is comatose grin

Sorry for long explanation, but you get the 'jerk' right? wink

Please guys. The telegram group is at its capacity for now. No need to DM again as no new members are being added. You can search this thread for any information you may need. Trust me, 90% of them are already here.

Thanks for understanding.

I understand and I am not talking about nairaland only in my own context, like generally. Which is why I personally will not tell anyone not to post there earnings even though I don't like the idea, but I know I don't have control over it
I understand you have a reason why you feel this way about dashboards posting generally.

If I were to ask you to try to try and explain to me exactly WHY you have this conviction can you try to at least not brush off the question? Can you answer it for people like me who are yet to 'see' what you 'see' understand?

It's very important you make us understand so we can also take initiative like you do and stop posting such stuff here. Anytime the question comes up it's like there's an unwritten rule to never give clear explanations on the dashboard stuff.

I believe this is only fair, I mean you want it to stop right? We can help . . . Just let us understand along with you.

You should argue logically. Bad belle as per I don't own a car or I don't have access to the same trips that you do?

You'll can do you. But just know that the screenshots you post here or anywhere else is the reason they're targeting drivers now.

You all claim it's a motivation but I see it as false hope and deception.

It's been raining for some days now and there are surges here and there, and thus, the reason for the increased earnings.

Post your earnings on a normal day let's see how much strength you get to net 80k per day consistently.
You say it's not consistent and members shouldn't post dashboards because they can't keep netting such amounts everyday . . . That one 'wrong turn' or 'one way' can wipe the entire profits away . . . That the government will always be bringing new taxation means and papers for drivers to get . . . etc, excuses upon excuses to hide your insecurities, laziness and jealousy. You forget some of us have been here for years and seen it all play out.

I still vividly remember when a certain member called cheerfulgiver was here posting dashboards morning afternoon and night, day in day out, rainy or dry season CONSISTENTLY and what happened? . . . you all still bounded together to drive him away from the thread even though he was consistent.

I made an example of there being other social media platforms where your dashboards are being shared but you turned a blind eye to that example. . . Saying it's only nairaland that influences the government decisions concerning ehailing.

Even when this thread was comatose for about 2-3 years both before and after subsidy removal some of you were still screaming about low fares and dashboard postings, during the time this thread was dry didn't the government implement more taxation methods? Why didn't they wait for the nairaland Uber thread to pick up again before they told you all to go get more documents?

Tinubu was the one who made us pay more for tinted permit, vehicle ownership, ECMR etc . . . Was all these implemented and targeted at you ehailing drivers alone?

Hmm, Nigerians . . . God help us

My brother, you really helped me reply this guy and there's nothing much for me to add.

I didn't post to put any other person in pressure but to encourage anyone who needs it.

To make that dashboard, I did 16 trips that day running the whole of lekki. So, I'm not saying it's easy, I'm just saying with hard work, we can stay levelled up.

On a daily basis, we encounter different kind of people, the Polite, Rude, wicked and uncultured people, but I'm never moved because I'm just all out for my daily bread and to feed my family.

I am not here to boast, I'm a just encouraging like I got some encouragement to start when I wanted to few months ago.
Brother, I know you're a newbie and you're excited. We are happy for you. Don't mind what some people would say. Just know that you should focus on the business, save up and exit on time.

Any milestones you complete on the business you can update us here. It shows the info and teachings you're receiving here isn't going to waste. I commend you for that. Well done.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Conner44: 6:32pm On Sep 27, 2025
There's Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, Snapchat etc I see enough screenshots of dashboards shared there as well, curiously nobody seems to be advocating for those ones to stop sharing dashboards on their platforms.

I wonder, can't the same government you are so morbidly afraid of get their information through those channels too? Or does nairaland now have the UPDATED NATIONAL REALTIME INFO on ehailing to the extent that Transportation and Finance ministers are studiously monitoring THIS PARTICULAR THREAD DAILY waiting to see your happy dashboards before they take whatever action they want to against you or the ehailing companies?

To think some people actually believe this stuff till today makes me sad. This same 'months long' partially comatose nairaland Uber thread?

Bad belle dey worry am. Matured man getting triggered by driver's earnings
It's very sad to see. It's actually one of the major reasons why this thread was almost rendered comatose a few years ago (by some like minded individuals) and is only picking up speed now undecided

If they feel like salary work is the 'all & all's then why don't they drop key and go out there to seek their dream jobs and allow those who feel like running upandan Lagos enjoy their own choices? cry

I feel it's witchcraft, always has and always will be BUT WHAT DO I KNOW

Tell me how many professionals post their salaries online at the end of the month.

The problem with ehailing is that it's unregulated. If you must know, there are drivers that earned more than his earnings, drivers whose yesterday's earnings will dwarf his screenshot.

I see it as being simple minded. Getting blown away over meagre earning that one case of a wrong turn to a one way lane will wipe away.
Bro, can you succinctly explain to me exactly how the bolded above actually concerns YOU YOURSELF as an individual? That his profits get 'blown away' (according to you) has absolutely no effect on your own life and livelihood so why bother? 🤷🏾‍♂️
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Conner44: 8:18am On Sep 27, 2025
PuZZyNegro:
Before I answer that, are you a graduate?

Because if you are, you'll know that there are some office works that their yearly bonuses will rival whatever you make in 6 months and they don't need to struggle under sun and rain.
Allow the man post what he wants to post and boast as he feels or hype what he likes undecided

It has NO SINGLE EFFECT on you or your life than maybe making you feel either insecure, jealous and lazy.

Is that how you currently feel after seeing his post up there? If so I believe you should just work harder and earn better for yourself instead of trying to shoot him down from his 'happy place'

In ehailing the sky is big enough for all birds to fly meanwhile in the labor market we are still waiting for the government to create more jobs to accommodate just below 20% of our current unemployed labor force. You think getting a job is beans? even 1st class graduates will find it hard because of nepotism and 'man - know - man

If you feel comfortable going out to net 40k and the next man feels glad going out to net 100k . . . Why tell him to cover his mouth when he's gleeful? He deserves a pat on the back isn't it? After all if you're applying for a job or contract wouldn't you wish to find out your salary/payment package beforehand?

You guys should stop talking down at peeps who post their dashboards here, if you won't like to post yours (for whatever reason you can conjure up) then stay back and allow those without such 'fears' to post theirs undecided

In this life it's good to mostly COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS because problems come to us all wether you want it or not undecided

Good morning people 🤗 happy weekend to us all

Water ingress into the inner chambers of an EV will spell 100% doom for the vehicle and can even trigger an electrocution to the occupants. So with such knowledge in mind the engineers have made it so that it is over 1000% harder for moisture to penetrate the inner workings of an EV as compared to a regular ICE vehicle.

Remember that if water gets into an ICE just leave it to dry completely and you are most likely to have a 90% working ride unlike an EV that will be 90% damaged with just a little splash getting into the wrong place.

That was what XGhost meant by the wording on his post which you both responded to. You didn't comprehend him at all or you're sincerely ignorant of what I just intimated you with above concerning moisture and the various vehicle technologies we have in the market today.

We all make mistakes, learning from them is key.

Other APC/jagaban enthusiasts (like Yeyegbami) are also laying low, counting their gains and hoping for the best . . .

I will be here to talk when that time reaches . . . Can't speak for the other names mentioned above seeing as they are already MIA at this midpoint in their emilokan's reign
