5. ALIGNMENT OF THE GREAT PYRAMID WITH TRUE NORTH

The position of the Great Pyramid and its alignment with the location of true north is one of the more well-known pieces of evidence for the possibility of a technologically-superior ancient civilization. Although built thousands of years ago, the Great Pyramid is regarded by many to be the most accurately-aligned structure on the planet – yes, even more so than our modern-day Meridian Building in London – with a very minimal degree of error of 3/60th.

The Great Pyramid was once shielded with casings made of white-colored and smooth limestone until a disastrous earthquake in 1303 AD led to its untimely uncoupling. Much like mirrors, the pyramid stones reflected sunlight, which made the pyramid glisten like a crystal in the middle of the desert.


What’s interesting about these reflective stone casings is not just their shape and appearance, but also the source of the material they were made of. Gathering large amounts of flat and polished limestone meant that tons of these stones had to cross the long stretch of the Nile river before they could be used.

For some, this leads to the inevitable question of how those who worked in the construction of the pyramid managed to transport heavy and reflective limestone without the guidance of sophisticated knowledge and machinery.

Archaeologists and researchers have presented theories of how the laborers of that time managed to quarry and transport these blocks from a nearby source to the site where the pyramid was built. However, many insist that these massive stones were nearly impossible to mine, move and lift given the primitive tools of that era. Since the Great Pyramid took an estimated 20 years to complete, it would have taken the laborers only two and half minutes to set each of the pyramid’s insanely-heavy blocks.

The pyramid complex of Giza is regarded by many to be an impressive feat of engineering, considering mankind’s knowledge about construction and the technology available to the builders of the time were supposedly primitive. Scholars also deem these pyramids as testimonial relics of the “blood, sweat and tears” of tens of thousands of laborers who worked for decades to erect these ancient structures.



These ancient buildings have continued to stand their ground for the past 4,500 hundred years, an incomparable achievement that has gained the interest and admiration of many. Part of the fascination over these pyramids is rooted in the curiosity over who built them as well as why and how they were built. These questions have opened an avenue of “new-age” discourse in our modern era, with some going so far as to assert that the ancient pyramids of Egypt could be a remnant of a technologically-advanced ancient civilization. Some even believe the pyramids are proof that ancient visitors of extraterrestrial origin once socially interacted with the people of earth.

In November 2014, an investor named Andrew Carlssin was arrested for insider trading. What made this man strange is that he claimed to be a time traveler who came back from the year 2256. During a two week period, he invested $800 and was able to make $350 million.

In 1943, the military conducted an experiment called the Philadelphia Experiment. The reason for the experiment was to try to make the USS Eldridge invisible to the enemy’s radar. According to the crew on land, the ship disappeared for 10 seconds. According to the men on the ship, the ship did disappear, and it traveled in time. Each of the men on the boat had the same story about what they saw during the seconds that they traveled in time and all of their stories coincided.

#3: The LHC
One of the most complex pieces of machinery made by man is the LHC. It has a circumference of 17 miles and it goes over 500 feet into the ground. It is also the most powerful atom smasher that has ever been created. When activated, the machine can create a black hole. It is believed that the black hole that the machine creates is also a porthole for time travel.

#4: The Disoriented Traveler
It is an urban legend that stems from the 1970s. It is a standard piece of ‘evidence’ that believers in time travelers present.


In New York City, 1951, a man was fatally hit by a car. When people investigated, the man was recognized by some as a missing person. What makes things strange is that the man went missing back in 1876. While his clothes matched the time of his death, items on his person suggested a time almost fifty years before.



Chris Aubeck, a folklorist, further investigated the story and found it to be a work of fiction. In fact, it was published before in a 1950s collection of sci-fi short stories. The story was called “I’m Scared,” and its author’s name was Jack Finney.
Rudolph Fenz was the name of the protagonist in that story. In New York Times Square, he was presumably confused due to having traveled 50 years ahead in time. In this confusion, he got hit by a taxi and passed away. With the advent of the Internet, the story soon got circulated as evidence for time travel.

#5: The Evidence Of Charlie Chaplin

Like the factory worker, a woman in a Charlie Chaplin film was also observed as talking in a cell phone-like device. To be more specific, this footage was an extra piece from Charlie Chaplin’s The Circus.


Skeptics may argue that the woman was using an ear trumpet. This device was a hearing aid and readily available at the time. However, this doesn’t explain why she was using it at that point since there was apparently no one near her.


Time-traveling theorists even say that the woman was a man in disguise. This man may likely be a time traveler using the device to communicate with his own time.

This clip has made waves on the Internet. An Irish filmmaker named George Clarke uploaded a video clip of it in 2010. He even claimed that the device this woman used was thin and black, almost like a modern cell phone. The YouTube clip not only received millions of views and hits but also got featured on television

#6: A Secret Project

Andrew Basiago is known as “The Gettysburg Traveler,” and is one of many who claims to have traveled through time. He says that he was part of a government experiment back in 1863. More specifically, he attended Abraham Lincoln’s address in Gettysburg.

He even shows a picture of that time and place, saying that he was a child the picture depicted. The government experiments were the Project Pegasus, as he claims. He also says that he was at Ford’s theater on the night of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.

#7: A factory Worker With Impossible Technology

Many pictures from the past can show us difficult things. This photo is no different. It was a screen grab from a camera back in 1938. It shows a group of workers coming out of a factory, but there’s one problem. The smiling woman in the light dress seems to be talking on a handheld portable device. Back in that time, there were no wireless towers or any device like this one.



This film is genuine and untampered, and the workers are from the Dupont factory based in Massachusetts. Some say the woman may just be having some fun. However, it is unlikely that anyone would have thought of a joke like that. Phones were just not meant to be that small or portable back then.
Other readers of these theories claim that the woman is indeed a time traveler. They even go so far as to say that the women flanking her seem to be men in drag. In that case, they may well be her bodyguards.

#8: A Time Travel Watch

In December 2008, Chinese archaeologists discovered a giant tomb that was believed to be an undisturbed, 400-year-old coffin of Si Qing in Shangsi County. That's pretty old, guys. Before they even managed to crack the lid and find out what was inside, however, they came across something even more amazing than a centuries-old bag of bones in the soil around the outside of the tomb: a small piece of golden metal, shaped like a watch, with the time frozen at 10:06, wth the word €œ'Swiss€' engraved on the back. A watch that couldn't have been more than one hundred years old.

This is a very polluted part of the Caribbean. Seeing this, we wish that plastic was never invented at all. There was a comment from Blue Planet Society on this saying that the trash probably came from the local Montigua River, and arrived at the sea due to heavy rains.

This is a polar bear who refuses to let go of the last piece of ice. He resides in the Arctic region and, like other polar bears, he’s also facing the ice meltdown crisis. This crisis is happening due to the changes in temperatures caused by the increased level of CO2 emissions and pollution. Sea ice is very crucial for them to survive, as they hunt, rest, and breed there. The crisis has affected almost 19 regions of the Arctic.

It’s one of the most common mistakes in the English language, and it drives a lot of people up the wall. If you’ve ever read a rant by someone on Facebook or Twitter, chances are you’ve seen them misuse their/they’re/there. But how did it end up that way?



It all started with Old English. The word for “there” was spelled þǽr ( thǽr ). The Old English word for “their” was hiera , so no one was having any trouble telling those two apart. When Scandinavians started coming to the British Isles around the year 1000, the locals started incorporating their words into English. One example is their word for “their”, þaire ( thaire ). Now there were two words that were similar, but had different spellings and pronunciations.


Over the next several centuries, the English language was standardized somewhat through more development and the invention of the printing press, which led to higher literacy levels.



“There” changed spellings many times, including thar, thaire, ther, yar, theer, thiar, and thore . “Their” was alternately spelled as thayir, thayre, yaire, and theer . Over hundreds of years of changed spellings, we ended up with two words spelled differently with the same pronunciation. And then there was “they’re” (confused yet?). Contractions weren’t written like this until the late 16th century, and “they’re” naturally became the short spelling for “they are.” So English speakers ended up with three words that all sound the same but have different meanings.
