Abimbola007:How will your parents know your wife's age unless you tell them? |
I get your point, it's sad really! Hopefully, this would be a path to redemption. ste of time.quote author=Brandonx post=98106367]So Nigeria has deteriorated to this point where they now celebrate what's suppose to be a normal thing
How do you charge people to make modifications on something they never requested for in the first place? If this isn't the definition of slavery, someone should kindly help define what slavery is. |
Days after the acclaimed massacre, this was the thoughts going through my mind. And I strongly think any reasonable person would do the same. On Nairaland here, days after the shootings, people were called out to post pictures of their dead from the shootings. Yet, in a public forum that boasts of nothing less than 200,000 views, not even one person could present the picture of a dead person. Even in my own circle of influence, I haven't seen somebody that knows somebody that died from the shootings. Haba! A shooting that about 73 people were said to die from. This issue is controversial. Very controversial, but this is the salient truth some people have blindly refused to see. Why does it look like DJ switch was contracted for the role she played? A day after she was seen running claiming that shootings was still ongoing. This government have failed us-- No doubt. But I seriously pray we dig into the root of this matter. I sense, though, that Nigerians were scammed big time. In my opinion, there was shooting. But the shooting wasn't at the protesters, those who were hit was by a stay bullet. If the army truly shot at the soldiers, it would have been a massacre indeed, which is why the narrative had to change. quote author=mimimiles93 post=95505646] Why can't y'all use your god given brains to reason for once? Do you know the cost of keeping dead body in a morgue? Why would army carry something they're trying to get rid off in order to delete trace of evidence to their morgue? This whole mess started with Falz and his likes posting fake pictures of fake dead people up and down. They were debunked. Then Dj Witch came with her imaginary numbers of dead bodies. A film producer who was also at the scene debunked it.Saying there were no dead bodies. Then a lady claimed her son died as the cause of the event of Lekki toll gate we were later told she is not the real mother of the boy. Why can't y'all see that all these are plans by opposition party to ruin the reputation of this country? This is 10days since the incident happened. No one has come out no family has come out even when the Lagos state govt begged them to come out none has. You know we black people we like awoof. We like money. If truly people died, don't you think their family would come out as to get compensated with cash and appointments? No sensible individual or organization will take an exhibit to their morgue. The question is: What did the 11 days of speaking out in peaceful protests achieve? I'll tell you: Promises upon promises of reforms as usual from our very "sensitive" government; with loads of properties and lives lost as landmarks to forever make the #EndSARS protest indelible. Some say revolution is the way to go. But I believe they have no inclination as to what revolution entails; else, they wouldn't even dare dream of it. My candid opinion? Ogbeni, dust your voters' card for 2023, and save your energy till then. In all sincerity, would you say Nigeria's predicament is coming off as strange to you? Hian! Talk true o! In 2015, we were warned against voting in this administration by some prominent clerics who saw all this happening, and we shouted that they should shutup, as they were prophesying doom, because of the tithes they stand to lose with President Jonathan gone. We were advised not to waste our votes on parties without structures, and concentrate on banishing this administration having seen their antecedent, but the youths didn't listen. Imagine that the energy exerted on the #EndSARS protest was the same used to mobilize ourselves against voting in this government, I don't think we would be in the mess we presently are. Don't let people clout chase with your life and destiny in the name of revolution. It isn't worth it! Do the right thing by voting intentionally. Let me assume we missed the warnings from 2015. Yet wasn't the insensitivity of this government obvious enough in its first term? How come some youths still stood in long queues to vote them back in? You already know the why: Tribal and religious affiliations, plus instant gratifications. Please, I urge you to start preparing to use the next elections smartly and wisely; ensure you register and use your voters' card; don't sleep at home whilst others are out voting. Know also that there are times that your voters' card should be used to vote out the greater evil. But until then, biko, let's all enjoy the ride to 2023 and hopefully, we would be wiser when we get there. Iquote author=dasparrow post=95259331] Shut up! Stop trying to politicize everything. The hoodlums that destroyed property in Lagos were hired by the government themselves to cause mayhem and disrupt the peaceful ENDSARS movement/protest. Now the government has created monsters who went on a rampage destroying property left, right and center and some of those hoodlums were yoruba youths too. Yet here you are trying to make it about tribe. Regardless of one's tribe, are most Nigerians leading a good life in Nigeria? Instead of Nigerians to lay aside their differences and speak out against this atrocious murderous government, dumb people like you are busy making it about tribe and politics! I wonder when some of you will learn.
That's because it's what you think. In a democratic system of government, there ought to be something called "impeachment", but that's obviously too much to ask. quote author=Chapii post=95192114] we support EndSars, we support end to bad governance but Buhari is going no where that is an invitation to anarchy. We must wait till the next elections and do the right thing.
Just what if Tinubu is a victim in all of these? I am beginning to sense that the guy was setup. quote author=NaijaRoyalty post=95178988]Tinubu is in trouble The blood of the over 90 protesting youths he ordered to kill are crying for justice . Everything about Tinubu will be erased In Lagos It has started .
