Religion / Your Pathfinder- Bhagwad Gita by contentswan: 5:28am On Mar 28, 2017
Have you ever come across a moment, when you did not know the decision which you are taking is right or wrong? Or You felt demotivated at any point of time? Well, these were the similar feelings of Arjuna on the battle field of Mahabharata, where he was fighting against his own brothers and kinsmen.

However, lord Krishna who was the charioteer of Arjuna during the battle dispels the darkness of agony from his mind, in the form of teachings which was later composed as the holy book of Hindus named 'Bhagwad Gita'. Some of the classic illustrations of the teachings of Bhagwad Gita, which finds its relevance even today, can be summarized as follows:-

1. Whatever happens or is happening is for our good.
2. Do your work selflessly and leave the rest for god to decide.
3. Change is the law of nature and can take place in your life or around you at any given point of time.
4. The soul within us is immortal.
5. Nobody takes his/her riches, name or fame when they die.
6. Desire, selfishness and annoyance are most dangerous feelings which destroys our peace of mind.
7. Your belief creates you and defines your destiny.
8. Human mind is like a flickering flame of candle, to control it one needs to master the art of meditation.
9. 'As you sow, so, shall you reap'. It means whatever you do as a part of karma it will be returned to you.
10. It is not obstacle which restricts us from attaining our goal, but the lack of proper picture in our minds to achieve our goal.
Education / Importance Of Education by contentswan: 12:48pm On Mar 25, 2017
In Indian society, schools are considered as the second home for any child. As school is the place where your knowledge and skills get polished by teachers for a better tomorrow. However, the biggest challenge which lies in front of any school management is, to produce children with a right attitude towards learning. If we have a look at the schools which are functioning within the Indian subcontinent, they focus more on testing the memory(which is not sufficient to face the competition outside) of the students than knowledge or character. This kind of system gives birth to situations where an individual is not able to differentiate between the right and wrong and develop a passive attitude to the happenings in the society.

Once when a child steps out of his/her school life, apart from their identity they carry the name of the school. Therefore, it becomes important to infuse qualitative learning with character building within the curriculum of any syllabus. In Japan, there are no exams conducted till class 4, this is because of the first objective of the teachers there, is to establish right attitude towards learning within the minds of the students, and then they move on to the next level of academics. This is one of the reasons why Japanese are passionate towards what they do. Qualitative learning can be developed within the students with practical experiments, which gives them a scope to establish logical thinking and empirical reasoning within their minds. Another classic example which can be quoted here, for making education accessible to masses, is that of the education system of Finland. The best part about Finland education system is, everybody in Finland is entitled to free education with digital learning.

To bring out the correct essence of education, some of the schools in India have started coming up with unique methods of teaching. A few of those unique methods include teaching students in the open atmosphere, which gives them exposure to the surroundings around them and helps them to learn things on their own through observation. The other predominant method which has been taken up by most of the schools is the informal way. Here, students are given freedom to learn things at their own will, this helps them in developing realization within themselves and change accordingly.

Learning comes to you when you make a way for it. And it is teachers who help the students in making a way for progressive learning in their lives, both morally and through encouragement. Be a part of this learning system today and shape your destiny.
