In the Scottish league
Kindly mention any other possible backup to Osimhen who has given more than the 17 goal contributions in 18 starts and 5 substitute appearances that Dessers has delivered this season. I'll wait 🙂

Another epistle 😔
Dessers should be fighting for a place in Rangers starting 11 and not super eagles second choice striker for now
It's an epistle to you because reading is hard for you. Your brain just can't handle it. 😆

Dessers isn't fighting for any spot in the Super Eagles. The guy has already achieved his lifelong dream of playing for Nigeria, a country he loves so much, even when he could have easily played for Belgium, and he'll forever be grateful for that.

You're the one who's making him more popular by mentioning me when I talk about him.

If you didn't consider him a threat to the people you want in the team, then whatever he does wouldn't matter to you. You'd just ignore him. The only reason you don't want him in the team is that for whatever reason, you're afraid that he's going to push out your favorites if he's given the same chances that they've been given in the Super Eagles.

There's no way Dessers will go 11 matches without scoring a goal for the Super Eagles. It cannot happen. Dessers scored his first goal for the Super Eagles in his first start against Mexico. That's a guy who takes his opportunities seriously.

Cyriel Kolawole Dessers is not the problem here. You, Samueltemi are the problem, but an inconsequential one.

Couldn't even read the long episode you dropped
He's a striker
He should be scoring goals
12 goals in 23 matches for a striker playing for the top team in a farmers league is poor
No wonder he was dropped to the bench
LMAO, you and I know both know that you read it, but it's you either couldn't understand it (perhaps I should have used pidgin) or you have no intelligent rebuttal against it because it exposes your ignorance and hypocrisy, so you'd rather hide under the facade of not reading it, thinking you're insulting me. 🤣🤣

Next time, you'd do well to not mention me since you're too lazy and don't have the strength, patience or intelligence to go through my replies. Stick to your level of understanding and you'll be fine. You don't even have to read my posts. Just scroll past whenever you see my moniker. That's exactly what I do when I see yours. The only time I ever read anything you post is whenever you mention me.

If simple statistics are too hard for you to understand, and they're giving you headaches, then don't quote someone (me) who loves stating statistics.

If Dessers is poor to you, then fine. Again I say, go ahead with Sadiq, Awoniyi, Onuachu and Boniface. They're good enough to qualify us for the World Cup 😆🤣🤭. This shouldn't be a problem at all.

12 goals in 23 matches is poor for a striker in a farmers league
Lol, as expected, you didn't answer the question. Now, let me rephrase the question: How is 17 goal contributions in 23 matches of which he started about 18 of those 23 a bad look? How is 17 goal contributions in 18 starts and 5 substitute appearances a bad look?

It's funny how some of you keep saying that a striker shouldn't be judged by only his goals, yet when it comes to Dessers, you turn around and come up with double standards.

Dessers delivered 31 goal contributions last season (22 goals and 9 assists), the highest of any Nigerian player in Europe. It hasn't even reached the middle of this season yet he has now delivered more than half of the goal contributions that he delivered last season, yet you claim he's in a poor form? That's hilarious. 😆

Like I said earlier, Eguavoen should NOT call Dessers up for the World Cup Qualifiers. He should go ahead with the Boniface, Sadiq, Awoniyi and Onuachu that he's used as back up strikers so far. They've done so well, so no need to replace them. Who needs Dessers when we have Sadiq, Awoniyi and Boniface? 😆🤣🤭

The worst part is that if the fat wife finally finds a way to lose some weight, she'll begin to feel like she's better than her husband, the same man who married her when she was over 400 pounds. She'll then go ahead to cheat on him without any remorse.

What’s his best position to maximize efficiency??
Iwobi has been doing well on the right wing this season but I'll always prefer him as an Attacking Midfielder. When you play Iwobi around the " D Area" of an opponent's box, you're going to get the best out of him. That arc around the box is his most dangerous zone, in my opinion.

There are more here that say the truth than you're seeing. Just that I've seen many exaggerate his weaknesses when compared to others playing in that same Europe. Many naysayers forget he's also a victim of circumstances. To see players playing with such passion for this super eagles, a unending complaint from decades ago, is rare.

But you're right, fandom dey. Annoying ones. Especially among the sport journalist for both the male and female national teams. Once they're on a players side, that player must NOT be criticized, else it is termed hate.

I call it the Ketekete Effect. Why? Cos i have experienced defending a player and the rousers came over me. When i criticized same player, the attacks were even worse. So what do they want me to do? Siddon dey look, deciding what i say(devoid of any hint of hate)??

Me, im super excited to have that Osimhen on that AFCON team cos of his passion and spirit. He do well for us. He is also a work in progress. He goes through what many legends of this game went through and he will scale through no different than them. They'll always be rousers. Saka is an example of that. The peak of hate cos of a PK in a final. Now, person go come and begin to hate the kind of love he gets in the here and now.

Foootball!!!!
You're very correct on a lot of things, especially on the issue of fandom. It's their hypocrisy for me. These people are fond of calling other Nigerian players all sorts of hurtful names when they underperform, yet they feel attacked when Osimhen's flaws are called out.

They're like little children whose sticks of sweet fall on the floor, and instead of washing them, they pick them up and begin to lick them like that with all the dirt on the sweets. You try to help them wash the sweets because they're dirty, but they refuse and begin to cry like the petulant children that they are, thinking you want to take their sweets from them. It's a crazy analogy, but it fits.

Thanks a lot for the commendation, but please don't stop talking about Dessers' goals/assists because of me. This Balablu Bulaba regime keeps me so busy that I barely even have enough time for myself, let alone to consistently talk about any football player.

Well answered. To be honest, Boniface's Zero goals in 11 caps is impossible to defend anymore. At this point, any whisper of Dessers from this angle is valid.

But then stretching this to Osimhen is another matter.
I didn't stretch anything to Osimhen. Go through all my posts and you'll see that I never made any comparison between both players. You're the one who'ss trying to see something that isn't there.

Kog45 was the one who brought up Osimhen with regards to criticisms. I replied him and we were having a respectful conversation until the mini guy jumped into my mentions as usual and involved himself in a conversation that I was having with someone else.

Anyway, his Dessers argument is valid coz Boniface we keep inviting haven't scored once in 11 caps.

Supernerd, I don't know why you and Truidstar are trying to turn this into a tug of war between Truidstar and I. He said that Dessers hasn't been good for the Super Eagles and then I drew his attention to an updated list of a post I made months ago.

I think it is balanced. The love-hate numbers of VO.

Since the Chelsea face front, i noticed a new niche of "haterz"
They don't even want to recognize his exploits and use every opportunity to talk down and mock him.

However, some facts remains and few can have non-banter dialogue when it comes to this matter, from both sides.

He definitely needs to improve on that AFCON performance no doubt. But he was one key factor of reaching that final. Everyone knows if he didn't waste chance we will probably win that cup. But that should not be used to wash him like ive been seeing lately. People even criticize Boniface and Iwobi well. Few defenders on their part.

Better days ahead.
Now this is a logical take that I respect. Intelligent and precise.

I'm against all forms of insults. Perhaps a little banter here and there, but I'm all about keeping it civil when it comes to criticizing a player. If you've noticed, I've never used a rude word against him since I started talking about him. I can't say the same for his supporters though.

Osimhen's passion and his intense application of that passion are what separates him from the rest. I'm not doubting that.

My point is if you're hired to do a job, then do your damn job. He does it most of the time but he didn't do it at the last AFCON. Why's that so hard for people to accept? Oh, because it's Osimhen, then exceptions should be made abi. Would they have said the same if Ighalo or Onuachu or Sadiq had scored just one goal at the AFCON? Of course not. This is how people create gods out of men and it's wrong.

You said that everyone knows that if Osimhen hadn't missed those chances, we would have won the AFCON. Bro, have you seen this thread? You and I are probably the only ones here who believe that. To them, Osimhen did no wrong at the AFCON.

Etebo, Ndidi and Esiti are very good at marking. We could as well play them as the Number 9 since all some people care about is marking. How crazy is that logic?

"He sabi mark, he dey put body for ball, so let's forget about the fact that he missed 13 chances at the AFCON and scored just one goal."

Osimhen is better than that stupid logic abeg. This is an African Player of the year for crying out loud. Make una no dey reduce am to that nonsense logic.

If you hire a plumber to fix your toilet and he leaves the job you hired him to do and started doing something else, what will be your reaction? Will you clap for him? Will you pay him?

How can you claim to love someone yet you constantly attack whoever is trying to make him improve through criticisms? How do you expect someone to improve if you don't call out the person's flaws?

Sugarcoating the truth doesn't stop it from being the truth. The truth is indeed a bitter pill to swallow.

pointing out fact is defending? You basically said he ghosted the Afcon and they pointed out how he was vital to our final run but you call it defending, continue with your agenda
Which fact exactly? The fact that he scored just one goal at the last AFCON? The fact that he missed the most chances at the last AFCON? The last time I checked, Osimhen missed about 13 chances at the last AFCON. He probably also scored the most offside goals(haven't checked) because he just couldn't keep himself onside as usual.

The thing with you people is that you're trying to redefine the GENERAL definition of a Striker/Centre Forward.

Osimhen didn't win African Player of the Year by marking players, winning penalties or creating space for other players. He won it because of the goals, assists and trophy he won with Napoli.

I expect better from him and that's why I'm calling out his flaws, but it seems like people like you who act like you love him more than anyone else are hell-bent on preventing him from improving. Since you want to talk about agendas, then perhaps that's your own agenda. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I'm not getting your point on criticism...are you saying a must to criticize a player even if he is performing cuz Osimhen has not had any woeful performance in eagles that would warrant heavy criticisms
My point is simple. When a player underperforms, despite your love for that player, be mature enough to put your sentiments aside and criticize that player for performing poorly.

The thing is that, as Nigerians, we don't like telling ourselves the truth. Osimhen had a terrible AFCON outing. An African Player of the Year scoring just one goal in the entire tournament and missing the most chances (13) is a woeful performance.

Most Nigerians will argue with you and tell you to forget about that because he knows how to mark and put pressure on defenders, forgetting that the number one goal of a striker is to put the ball in the back of the net. Osimhen didn't win the African Player of the Year award by putting pressure on defenders, he won it because of the goals he scored and trophy he won with Napoli.

Imagine what would have happened if the likes of Lookman and Ekong didn't step up at the AFCON. We won't even have gotten out of the group stage.

I'm talking about on-the-field performances and not off-the-field. That Finidi issue is an off-the-field occurrence. Besides I don't think anyone who criticises Osimhen based on the Finidi issue hates him. They just feel he could have handled that situation better, and they're right. People need to understand the difference between criticisms and hatred.

Has Osimhen ever had to lock his comments section because of constant death threats from Nigerian fans? Has Osimhen ever had to lock his comments section because of constant death threats to his family members?
These are things that Ighalo, Iwobi and Maduka all faced.

Osimhen never chop criticism oh, trust me. He's a learner in that area 😄
