Jesse needs to bring on Alphonso Davies. He may not be 100% fit but his pace is still a fear factor and will keep Hakimi at bay. |

Canada have been excellent with their pressing. They just need to find ways to create enough opportunities to score. |

Michael Oliver is so incompetent. He should have given a yellow to Hakimi only and not Laryea. |

Now this is more like it. You don't sit back after scoring one goal. You keep applying pressure and that's exactly what Colombia have done all through this match. What a team!!! What a player Quintero is as well. Super sub |

As an African, if you think you're physical and aggressive, you need to watch the South Americans play ball. These people just dey troway our Ghanaian bredas. Even the light skinned ones are aggressive |

EElopa: I just don't know what this Jordan Ayew brings to the table. African teams and seniority nonsense. He brings to the Ghanaian table the same thing Ronaldo brings to the Portuguese table. |

Yes, Argentina were terrible today in terms of their ball progression, but tonight's victory over Cape Verde has shown that they know how to come back against teams that know how to defend. That indeed makes them very very dangerous. |

Cape Verde scored one of the best goals of the 2023 AFCON through Bebe and have now scored one of the best goals of the 2026 World Cup. Incredible |

Emiliano Martinez never fails to show that he's indeed a World Class goalkeeper. His saves today were top notch.
Unfortunately there was nothing he could do about that monster of an R2 Cape Verdian curler, but having a goalkeeper of his calibre is crucial in winning tournaments. The guy dey give me joy. |

tonididdy: African teams have a shutting down syndrome once they are leading or at par
Before they try to reboot... It's always too late.
You score a goal, I think your aim should be at doubling it and tripling it. This WC had shown if Africa attacks, we cause chaos but when we defend we attract chaos Well, tonight's game just showed us that African teams aren't the only ones affected by this. Argentina made that mistake today and so did Japan. |

Best game of the tournament so far. What a game!!!! Wowwww!!!! 😮😮😮
Argentina go through to the round of 16. As for Cape Verde, this is how you leave a tournament with your heads held high, unlike other African Nations. |

Goal ball. Assist for Messi. Goal for Romero.
If Argentina know what is good for them, they better not sit back to defend again. |

Unlimited22: Or take off a goalkeeper who had adrenaline coursing through his veins after a massive save to keep them in the game
I played in goal as a student and that was a horrible decision You're right but it has worked in the past with someone like Tim Krul. I just don't understand why Matt Ryan kept moving before the ball was kicked. Now, the Australian coach has lots of questions to answer. |
