at least drop the receipts; examples where it happened.
What are you talking about? Sami Zayn was incredibly over during his time in the Bloodline and all the way through his subsequent face turn.

Like we all forget the gruelling houseshows schedule WWE wrestlers had under Vince. They were consistently on the road.

Wrestlemania hasn't happened yet and the fans are already spitting all over it, isn't that much worse?

And you're talking about a scripted show, like creative has been good in the last 3 years.

For good measure, HHH is reposting post dissing Sami and Steph is calling him B plus. I guess it's all part of the script.
The fact that creative hasn't been good doesn't mean it still isn't a scripted show.

You know the point about them trolling Sami lends credence to my point that they have plans for his character, right?

Sami basically has three paths now.

1. He can lose, hit rock bottom, and then find slowly his groove back. This option might fall flat

2. He may lose, hit rock bottom, and then give in to the despair.

3. Fully turn heel out of desperation to retain.

CoolUsername you defended Sami's confused weird story arc saying it was leading somewhere and it was good stuff. This is what it's led to. Is it still part of the plan?
This is what it has led to?
1. WrestleMania hasn't even happened yet
2. Come on, this isn't your first time watching a scripted show. It's most likely going to be a gradual process.

It was a funny meme in 2020 but the truth is that he has been the most consistently over face in WWE for the past couple of years despite his overexposure

they had to change the name for Rey when we won, that I recall. It's not even a semantics issue, CoolUsername understands my point but just likes dragging things. Batista and Big Show are both heavyweights, but I don't expect Batista to go head-on fighting him with equal strength due to their size difference.
I guess you can just refuse to engage the point, then claim later that you win the argument?

Batista, at his biggest, was billed at 290. The Big Show, at his smallest was billed at 383. That is a 93-lb difference. Now compare that to Cody Rhodes, who is billed at 222 and Drew McIntyre and John Cena who are 275 and 251, respectively. The difference is a lot smaller and the disadvantage is less pronounced.

And let's not forget that Kurt Angle at 220 Angle Slammed The Big Show. So why weren't you complaining then?

no, you are. A light weight and a heavyweight can't go strength for strength with eachother equally, which is what Cody does. I rest my case.
Cody Rhodes is not a lightweight, though. So you're still wrong

Yeah bro, go and tell the veteran, Chris Jericho, who has had multiple gimmicks has throughout his career that none of them have ever worked. Tell him that his character, Chris Jericho, is an absolute failure and it's all because of gimmicks.

Someone has to say this; Cody's wrestling frustrates me sometimes. In summary, he's a lightweight that wrestles like a heavyweight and it's unrealistic and makes things look bad. Yes, he does some light weight moves once a while like Cody cutter, but when you see him do a lockup with a full blown heavyweight strength for strength and equally matches him, it's just bad.
He's a light heavyweight. Similar to the likes of Kurt Angle, Matt Riddle, lean pre-HGH Randy Orton, and CM Punk. They are light enough to hit some high flying moves and strong enough to hit some power moves.

This is well-established pro-wrestling philosophy, why are you suddenly finding it upsetting?

Following Drew McIntyre's victory to become the Undisputed WWE Champion in early 2026, SmackDown experienced a notable rise in business metrics.
Ratings Increase: Since McIntyre captured the Undisputed Championship, SmackDown ratings rose by approximately 4.5% compared to the previous month.
Attendance Boost: Attendance for SmackDown shows increased by 30% compared to previous months during his reign.
Highest Rating: A February 2026 episode of SmackDown featuring McIntyre pulled in over 1.459 million viewers, marking the highest-rated SmackDown since September 2025 at that time.

Reign Context (Early 2026):
Drew McIntyre held the Undisputed WWE Championship for 55 days, starting with his victory over Cody Rhodes and ending in early March 2026. Although he had strong, consistent viewership numbers, a January 2026 episode faced significant competition from college football playoffs.

Damn, that's an a-hole move from Cody if true. He has held the title for the better part of two years and he can't let another guy have his WrestleMania moment? If I were Drew, I'd be pissed.

Ratings never went down when Drew won it, people were actually happy Cody lost and Drew finally won it. Ratings started dropping again when Drew was told he'll face Cody despite him losing at elimination chamber.
Drew won it 9th Jan and lost it 6th March. Sorry but this narrative doesn't hold.

He didn't pull it out his arse, it's common knowledge that Cody lobbied to take the title off Drew so that he could feud with Randy at WM instead.
That's what started the whole thing so it's his fault too.
What is the source of this "common knowledge"? Because I also heard that ratings went down when Drew McIntyre was champion so WWE panicked.

[quote author=pu7pl3 post=139022571]This guy is making some sense sha

literally just pulled a narrative out of his ass. "We know because Cody Rhodes is l went on a podcast and talked about politicking". We don't "know" shit.

Also, nobody asked TKO to step in during the build with his rematch with Roman Reigns. They decided to and nearly bleeped it up if not for the talent of everyone involved.
I also have no idea why this guy is defending TKO and trying to shift the blame to Cody Rhodes.
