Yes! we are very serious. We have employed older candidates before but they couldn't deliver. There are many young people out there who are very talented in writing. We are into music and film industry, so our preferred candidates are those who can develop good concepts, very vast with the trend and sociable and more.

we have also trained others before, but after the effort of giving them training, they leave the Job and use the experience to work for other companies or sometimes break our rules which will lead to the termination of their appointment.

Some mature people who have families to take care of don't always find it easy to focus on the Job. Some of them will start eyeing other young female or male staffs and dating . writing needs focus.

I struggled with this too. It took a lot from me to deal with it

People can't act beyond their level of insight and revelation. Forget it, if the employers are 27 to 30, it's pretty difficult to have the wisdom of 31 to 35.there are things only age and exposure can teach. And it won't even seem wrong when folks like that make these kind of decisions cause the consequences are not known/familiar to them. 30 to 35 generation rocks for life.

I am an academic content writer and a good one for that matter and having worked with people, I can tell you getting the workforce you need with these requirements is a long thing. Have you considered training your workforce? Or is training for Mobil or Chevron staffs?

I hired over a 100 nairalanders over a two years period and thought them everything I knew. Today, they are fire. All can write at the same expert level, many have moved on to start writing related enterprise from traditional media and journalism to blogging, one is the copywriter of a law firm. Staff training is best
