Credit to Osimhen, he started the move.

Dele Bashiru with the ASSIST.

I'm not convinced by Ryan Alebiosu just yet.

the guy was pulling Bassey's shirt.
Quite agree, the ref probably missed it. That wasn't a yellow, nonetheless.

Now, you guys will be blaming Simon. Did you guys see how he dribbed past two defenders and layed a goal-bound pass to Chukwueze who missed the target?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by CornOak(m): 5:10pm On Dec 30, 2025
Chukwueze forgot his left leg at home. shocked Because that should have been on target and probably a goal.

My major challenge with uzoho is that he is more likely to punch a ball that catch it
And his punches can gift goal scoring opportunities to opponents..

Even in the UECL clips where they said he did well, he punched 5-6 balls before he caught 1..
And that has cost us before..

Nevertheless, he deserves an opportunity if Nwabali cannot start our next game
Nwabali has been doing this consistently for the past few games. Go and watch the highlights.

So many firsts at this AFCON.

– Ndidi's first goal for Nigeria
– Mozambique's first AFCON win (17 games)
– Benin Republic's first AFCON win in 15 games

I believe there's more to come.

Victor Osimhen's goal and assist today for the Super Eagles in their 3-2 win vs Tunisia were his 32nd Goal and 45th Goal Contribution across 47 NT Caps.

45 Goals+assists (32G, 13A) in 40 Super Eagles starts, 47 caps.
Quite outstanding. A legend in the making.

I have read a lot of criticisms on Chelle regarding his game management and this is my perspective.

The Tunisians were mounting a lot of pressure on the flanks, and Chelle needed to foil the pressure.
Ndidi was even out of his position to defend the flanks.
That was the motive behind the substitutions Chelle made.

Again, in competitions there is what we call the game momentum. The momentum of the game shifted for obvious reasons and the Tunians siezed it to see what they can grab.
Meli, are you trying to justify why he brought on EJUKE and Simon? 🤔🤔

FIFA and IFAB really need to train referees to improve their interpretation of the handball rule and taking penalty decisions.

There's no consistency in interpretation, and it feels like referees are making decisions based on discretion.

That penalty call against Nigeria was not a penalty.
It's perplexing, man. Even the VAR is confused. sad

On the bright side something is beginning to click in our midfield and I like how Iwobi is beginning to take leadership shielding the ball like mikel those days. Even the osayi we are blaming tried his best linking with the midfield and attack. That was a beauty to behold. Ndidi has finally come to the party and we may be seeing more goals from him.

Akor deserves to be in our starting 11 he’s bringing much into the side and as for Lookman and osihmen just leave them to cook. Chelle is the Judas iscariot. I can only pray he doesn’t sell us for 30 pieces of silver as the tournament progresses but after this Afcon no matter the outcome make the man Dey go. It’s obvious he ruined our World Cup dreams! God punish am!
What I noticed, especially in the first half is that, Osayi was mostly alone on the right wing and was scared to venture forward on the flank.

Aside from Lookman's overall impressive showing today, I must particularly acknowledge his insane and unrelenting press throughout his stay on the pitch.

Boy's got some points to prove. grin

When a win feels like a loss...

We were cruising to victory in the 70's minutes and boom! We gave it away.

That 3-goal lead was a bold statement but alas!

Anyways, we got the three points.

Na pure handball. Osayi was even pushing the Tunisia guy which could have even resulted in a separate penalty too without the handball grin

There's no way in hell that was a penalty. Osayi and the Tunisian were very close and that can't count for a handball.

That was a wrong call from the ref.
