If you ask me, this NYSC stuff is growing useless year by year and has outlived it's purpose. It's more like a forced patriotism where graduates are indentured servants. Can't youths serve the country in their own way without being forced to work under a failed system?
How does being a primary school teacher in a backwater community school, a place where no qualified teacher would dream of working in, help in the "development" of the nation?

Today, we will be talking about how to prepare for NYSC camp or better put orientation program.

This will talk more on the mental preparation if you want to read about the academic preparation search "nyscgroup" on Telegram

The foundation of a successful service year is the orientation course programme or camp training. The first duty you owe yourself, therefore, is to live through the rigours of the camp exercise and be sufficiently focused to imbibe the instructive training. This has not changed due to pandemic, but maybe worst because the numbers have reduce and the eye is on everyone now, that before. Note that the course is a compendium of the service year where the facts, the figure, the dos, and don'ts are spelt out.
A corp member that fails to listen well or ignore the lessons of the camp does so his/her own risk and exposed to diverse dangers during the service year. Many sensitization is done during this orientation course including Security, Health, Community Development Service and even Skills Acquisition that can be useful for anyone during/after the service year.

The following are important points to note

a. Make up your mind to adapt, submit to, and obey all the rules and regulations spelt out for NYSC scheme, on your call letter when you get them.

b. Determine to persevere, be painstaking, and diligent.

Finally 19th of January is close, NYSC 2020 Batch B must go, and the people asking for senate list it will then be their turn. let us go over the basics thing you need to take along again

1. Prepare Your Mind: First and foremost, you need to prepare your mind that you are no more in your PPA with a lot of choices. Like you know life in the camp is regimented even though the rest of your orientation is the enjoy but parade stress part. Note that there wouldn't be preference in your training as you should be more prepared to brush up your former drill

Let jump right into it,

NYSC Relocation/Redeployment
How it works and everything about it

Relocation is like a product/service of NYSC(National Youth Service Corps), and you must know this service of the scheme is very regulated and most importantly FREE

Before we diver into who can get relocated and on what basis, let us talk about the things itself

NYSC Redeployment or Relocation like the name says it is the act of changing your state code and deployment.
Every graduating student or prospective corps members are given the opportunity to choice 4 state in which NYSC will later put or better word post/deploy you into 1.

This 1 state to have it changed is what is called NYSC Relocation or Redeployment and it can be done several times, for genuine reason though.

Noted everything I will be saying here are the norms and some peoples cases might have differ this norms.

How is the process carried out

With the full computerisation of the operations of NYSC, relocation exercise is done online.

This start during the online registration exercise, in which the platform provides opportunities for married women and people with life-threatening ailments not only to indicate their status but also upload their evidence and get automatically posted to their spouses’ places of domicile or health facilities respectively.

We are already answering the next question

But let us continue on this first, corps members are given the opportunity to apply for relocation on marital or health grounds while in the orientation camps. Relocation is done electronically and filled manually especially in place with automatic redeployment(We will further get into that)

Can I get relocated/redeployed after camp?

After the camp relocation is still possible for any corps members who meet the criteria(we will discuss that soon). But such relocations are carried out three (3) months after the orientation course. The corps members must apply online and the State Coordinators appropriately recommend online too before the relocations are effected.

Can I redeploy anytime I want?

No, (short answer) NYSC policy stop relocations or redeployment (6) months into the service year

Let move to the criteria that qualify you for relocation

Relocation happens on 2 (two) major grounds namely: Marital and Health.
But there is a third sweet spot like I call it, Insecurity
This sweet spot is available for corpers posted to Yobe, Bornu, Adamawa. It might sound odd but Bornu is the best of the three.
You pick Bornu from the onset and you don't end too far north but may Katsina, Jigawa or Kano for your camping.

The other two(2) criteria involves valid documents,
Marital
such as:

Marriage Certificate or Affidavit of Marriage,
Newspaper Change of Name,
A Letter indicating the husbands Place of Domicile.

Which must have been uploaded online during registration and verified in camp,
Health
for health grounds documents upload is likewise required including your doctor licence number, details of the aliment and proof.
This is only applicable to only those with life threatening ailments. The applicant must support his/her request with his/her Medical History and be ready to appear before a Medical Panel for an interview that will either validate or invalidate the request as the case may be.

Male PCM can't pick states of deployment, they've not done anything concerning that, I see no reason why they keep extending the registration deadline

They suppose to have fixed the issue before extensions. I only hope they won't result to auto placement

Registration Extension

This usually registration spanning about 4 months now have been extended to end Tuesday 16th June 2020.

As a week was added to allow those who are yet to register or facing issues to get registered.
This will also give opportunity to those who want to correct anything on their dashboard from name arrangement to date of birth etc.

COLLECTION/REPLACEMENT OF CERTIFICATE OF NATIONAL SERVICE

Modalities for the collection of Certificate of National Service
Certificate of National Service is issued to State Secretariats at the Directorate headquarters through the State Certification Officers thrice a year for delivery to deserving Corps members.

Only Corps members duly discharged from National Service and Certificated on presentation of letters of clearance from employers, CDS Inspectors and I.D card are issued with Certificates.

Those who benefited from WAP loan facility are issued theirs on full repayment of the loans.

Corps members with pending disciplinary case(s) are not certificated until he/she is cleared.

LOST CERTIFICATE OF NATIONAL SERVICE
In the case of loss of Certificate of Exemption, the following steps are to be taken;

It is now time to apply the lessons learnt from the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurial Training to make the right decisions for your future.

I urge you therefore to embrace the credit facilities on offer by our collaborating partners including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Bank of Industry (BOI) and other financial institutions to set up businesses to save yourselves the frustration of searching endlessly for scarce jobs.

Just in few days time

Today we will be answering two major questions which is

When is next NYSC 2020 batch or stream going?
And what is the official plans of NYSC during this POP?

We start by releasing an argument why we believe and know that NYSC will never have increased the period for Batch B 2019. You can read more about that HERE.

And NYSC have finally proof that they can't allow extend month. And have finally released his official memo on the state of how the POP will be taken place. Has we have been expecting NYSC to talk officially on this for a while and many have crafted out their plans of how they think how it might go.

Therefore for reminders sake we are started with questions 2;

And here is a quote from the DG of NYSC

"It is imperative to state that Corps Members who at present are not in their States of service need not violate the ban on inter-state journeys which is still in force.

However, as soon as the ban is lifted and it is safe to travel, they are expected to go to their respective States of service to collect their CNS."

As expected the parade was cancelled and the collection of certificates extended for 10 days.

But an essential question passing out members ask is

How do we get to our families and home state

But that have been simply answered by the post, NYSC like we said before is shutdowns and like in previous content of the Director-General. They will approach things like other agencies.

And will not be giving out Travel Pass has some have supposed.
At this point I say this also indirectly answer the first question. As just as stated NYSC will not do anything especially mobilization and camping until this is fully down.

are we getting double alawee
is it a fixed thing that for every batch they must receive double on their last month
I need urgent answers

Definitely from how it is done in the past, you do 11 months and you will be paid for 12 months, with 3 weeks of terminal leave.
Unless NYSC wants to make it 12 months serving with 12 months pay, then the double allawee can then be in doubt
