If Jesus was rich on earth and in heaven, when did he become poor as shown in the verse above

Now, this is the meaning of the scripture above. First, when you read from verse 1-15 of the same chapter, you will understand that Paul was speaking about the summary of the mission of Jesus on earth in order to encourage the corinthians towards giving to the things of God. Jesus gave everything he had for us to have salvation on earth.

Haven said that, you need to understand that richness is not only associated with money or material things. Richness could also be associated with power, title or position. In Jesus case, while in Heaven he was not only rich in good things of life, he was also rich in power, title or position.

Now, the moment his time and assignment was getting to an end on earth he surrendered his wealth of power and title so that he could be arrested and die on the cross. Had it being Jesus still held onto his wealth of richness in power and title, it won’t had being possible for anybody to arrest him let alone being crucified on the cross.

We could see in John 8:1-10 were Jesus used his richness in power to attack the soldiers that came to arrest him. He willingly surrendered his honor and power to become weak and poor at that moment of his arrest down to his crucifixion.

John8:1-10

5 “Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied.

“I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) 6 When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

7 Again he asked them, “Who is it you want?”

First of, building churches or starting new church is not allowed. Only historic orthodox churches are allowed and under strong supervision that they don't preach in Persian. They can only preach in their local dialect. The govt also keep roaster of attendees to make sure no Muslim converts to Christianity. And you want to talk of freedom of worship.
