IYANGBALI: get what right?tell kemi to leave the innocent girl out of your so called war When Seyi attacked Kemi's mum, you kept mute. Are you telling me that Kemi's mum or her placenta are NOT innocent? Get it right, the innocent suffers equally in a war situation . Seyi and Kemi are in an obvious war. I don't pity them |

3rdeye1: what are you saying?? How is a father holding up for his daughter at fault? For crying out loud Seyi abused Kemi's childhood with that placenta statement. So you mean KEMI is fatherless or motherless. Seyi insulted Kemi 's mother. Seyi's offense is just as grave as kemi 's. I hate unnecessary sentiment. Both are just old fools. We should not try to exonerate any of them from this stupidity. |

gbosaa: Did you say you were a medical personnel? What branch of healthcare and medicine did you get your certificate in?
Have you heard the words; ethics, professionalism and confidentiality?
In your medical practice, were you not taught that before you use someone, his or her details or condition as case studies or research materials, you should seek their consent or at least anonymise their details where necessary??
Kemi is a disgrace, troublesome and an irredeemable fool. There is nothing intelligent about her and her actions. You people should leave this poor baby alone. The harm Kemi and the likes of you who support her stupidity are causing this baby and her family is great.
Kemi is very selfish and unreasonable. I think Seyi should sue her. ARE YOU FOR REAL? YOU MEAN SEYI SHOULD SUE HER. SEYI STARTED THIS WHOLE STUPIDITY. WHY ARE WE ALL IGNORING THE PLACENTA COMMENT OF SEYI? THAT STATEMENT IS FAR WORSE THAN WHATEVER KEMI SAID. SEYI STARTED IT, LET HIM FIX HIS MESS |

These are not brainwashed individuals but victims of Boko Haram. Don't be surprised that the dead we are here rejoicing over their death are innocent Christians and Muslims captured by boko haram and forced to wear the belt. it's a pity that Nigerians aren't thinking anymore obviously caused by the increase in hatred among Nigerians fuelled by this current administration. almost all thread here are derailed by ethno-religious attacks from all quarters, this is very bad. This generation need to start reasoning better, it's an urgent call |

fyneguy: oh my God!
Didn't you read the part where he said the high water levels halted the works? And you didn't see where he said the project was only approved first quarter of 2017. yet lag/iba was approved and funded. did u realise that the south east lost about 20bilion that was supposed to come to them in 2016? the argument the national assembly put up was that the budgeted amount for the second Niger bride was that it was not going to be funded or fully funded, that it is better to reduce it and then channel it to other project within the south east. The issue still remains that even after the approval of the project(2nd Niger bridge) since first quarter, it still has not been fund until now. this administration will still wait till election period to fund said project for election purposes. it is a pity that so many aren't seeing it from this point. 97% to 5% is very real in this administration, in fact, the only promise that has been fully achieved in this administration. imagine after 2yrs, not a logo has been channelled to that project. sometimes, I am even tempted not to blame Ipob even though their strategy looks crude but one can do anything to liberate himself when pushed to the wall. Fact: things aren't done well in this country. it is obvious but those it favours keep shouting down on others who try to raise their voices against injustice. |
Business › Re: St. Louis, Other Foreign Packaged Sugar Brands Remains Banned In Nigeria – FG by Countdown(m): 7:52am On Jun 16, 2017 |
4Play: Banning imported products is not a good way of developing Nigeria's economy. The implication of these bans is that you pay more for either illicitly imported sub-standard imports or locally produced versions. If the latter, the producer takes the "excess profits" out of the country having converted it to dollars. So you get all the downsides - higher prices and currency depreciation - without necessarily developing a strong economy.
It's not today that we started banning imported products, we have been doing this since independence, but all it achieves is line the pockets of the highly connected like Dangote who keep most of their wealth abroad.
To develop a strong economy, we need export competitive industries that bring in forex through their exports not protectionist policies that inflate prices for Nigerians. Protectionist policies work only if they are part of an export strategy: industries are protected only on the strong condition they generate export proceeds. This is not what is happening in Nigeria and we should not be applauding schemes to impoverish Nigerians. You must be an intelligent person. The best comment on this topic, I must confess |
Politics › Re: Nigeria On The Path Of Another Civil War by Countdown(m): 8:09am On Jun 12, 2017 |
Why is it that only the Northerners are talking about war. For crying out, no one is asking for war. Some from the south are clamouring for restructuring while some other are clamouring for referendum so that they can leave the country in peace, some resource control. What is this about war everywhere. Just restructure this country and there will be peace simple! |

Gotze1: If you are not a Nigerian, just shut up cos you don't know the Genesis of the hatred. Before you judge, did you ask the igbos if they like other tribes. They started the hatred first, now they are getting it back, you are talking what you don't know. Do you know when they killed other tribes leaders and spared their own n still talking to other tribes of how they killed their leaders like chicken that sprang up their massacre in the north. They abuse westerners that have no hand in their massacre and hate westerners for doing nothing to them. Yet you are here talking what you don't know. Did you read what their ipob leader talked by ordering them to kill any westerners n northerners they see and they were hailing him without no one condemning him. Just keep kwayet and watch us. If you are not Nigerian, then face your nation problems. Thanks. Can you name just one igbo(south east) that ever led a coup in Nigeria history? Let me give you the answer, THERE WAS NONE! If you think I'm wrong, then name one. Believe me, you are ignorant. You have a lot to learn. |

Some are just responding like robots with programmed hate.
PLEASE, economists and fiscal guys, break it down for the laymen unashamed to learn It read in part, “All authorised dealers shall be subject to a maximum spread of N1. Funds purchased by an authorised dealer from another dealer on the interbank market shall not be held in position overnight by the buying authorised dealer or sold to another authorised dealer.” Simply put, funds purchased by dealer B from dealer A on the interbank market must be sold to dealer B's customers same day dealer B purchased fund from dealer A and cannot be sold to another dealer (dealer C). The whole process or rule is to discourage hoarding and increase chances of Naira appreciation. |

toofit007: my brother your speaking as if your not in this Nigeria, all politicians are the same even if you vote them in under IPOB assuming it is a political party, when they get to power they will swap to apc, I really know what am saying and am grounded in politics. the best thing is not to participate in any election in Nigeria be it governors or president that we show that will are serious. if what happened yesterday is to happen in 2019 election, then I can assure you that Nigeria will collapse, because it will become an inconclusive election and no president will be sworn in, and if the ask for re-vote and the earlier still remain the response of the old eastern region then it will mean that Nigeria has become a failed state. no president can be sworn in when one third of the country has less than one percent vote. please don't compare Nigeria with Catalonia because mentality is different. in Catalonia protest was stage and no one was killed but In Nigeria, such happens and thousands of innocent souls perished. it remains NO to election in BiafraLand. I'm not sure you have idea on how elections are actually conducted in Nigeria. If you refuse to come out on election day, someone else will vote for you or on your behalf. Continue to shoot yourself in the foot. Politicians will cash in on that opportunity and rig the election with speed |
Business › Re: South East Businessmen Don’t Repay Loans, Bank Of Agriculture Laments by Countdown(m): 7:49am On Jun 01, 2017 |
Obigbo also decried the inability of state governments in the South - East to take advantage of various schemes initiated by the bank , particularly the Anchor Programme, to better the lives of the people in the region . According to him , while states in the northern part of the country are maximising the opportunities provided by the Bank of Agriculture , many states in the South - East are yet to identify with the bank . Obigbo urged South - East governments to utilise the funding opportunities provided by BOA.
...And they are still begging the south east to do business with them. Something is fishy about this post |

Currently, imo state and few other states have been able to access their counterpart fund uptil 2013 unlike many other states. Very soon those buildings will be repainted. Those building someone uploaded Are UBEC buildings. Its a pity that people are not informed abt it. Some imolites are aware but pretend not to know. |

Abagworo: The issue is that Jonathan will likely lose Imo State. They are now claiming the 305 Owelle schools which they condemned in the past as China schools and I ask why are there not 305 schools in every other State? Okorocha didn't build those 305 schools alone. That project is UBEC/SUBEB project, it is carried out through counterpart funding. The issue is that Imo state govt is painting those schools with wrong colours just to deceive people. The colour should be yellow and green(UBEC colour) and not milk colour as d schools are currently painted. Try and get yourself well informed. |
