My mum is really at the top of this game too. My sister once named her dog "Tessy". My mum found a way to make the name a Yoruba one when she went to fill out a document. She wrote "Oluwatesinuola"

sholey84: I named my Rotteiler puppy Spirit. I was inspired by his colour, activeness and sturborness. Believe me, since he has been responding to that name, he became unpredictable and dangerousely cool. Maybe he has become a spirit afterall....You can definately be guided by the breed (this most times determine the dog's fierceness), sex, colour, etc, cuz naming a cool pet dog a name like thunder is really not reflecting d thunder traits in d dog. You can go for somefin like Shadow, snowwy, chibok, snoop, dracula, nero........

Mettal: I name them thru behaviours and personality,that means,i don't name them after 5 months.like King of beggars,Lord Charles,Poisedon,.There is this dog i named "I sit when i want" I- sit for short. I coin the modicum of my pet sometimes reflecting on a current event when i bring it home,monickers like Heavy rain,Big boss man (jumped on my sofa and refuse to come down the moment he got home) Potiskum (tuned my tv only to realise boko haram has destroyed a part of the northern town) sometimes i choose a name and write it down even before the puppy was born!
