benefits of custom logo entrance mat
Custom logo entrance mats offer a smart blend of utility and branding that benefits businesses in several important ways. First and foremost, they create a strong first impression—welcoming customers while immediately showcasing your brand identity. Whether it's a logo, slogan, or color scheme, these mats reinforce brand recognition at the very moment someone steps through the door. It's subtle but impactful advertising that works around the clock without saying a word.

Beyond branding, these mats serve a critical function by keeping interiors clean and safe. In busy environments like Lagos or Abuja—where foot traffic is high and rainy seasons can get messy—logo mats help trap dirt, moisture, and debris before they’re tracked inside. This protects your flooring and reduces slip hazards, making your business environment cleaner, safer, and more professional.

Lastly, custom logo mats are a cost-effective marketing tool. They’re durable, require minimal maintenance, and unlike digital ads or billboards, you pay once and benefit for years. Plus, with options to customize size, shape, and material, they’re versatile enough for virtually any industry—from banks to boutiques. In short, they're a small investment that pays off in elevated brand presence, better hygiene, and enhanced customer perception.

The Benefits of Mats To Your Business
Custom Mats are more than just something to throw down on the floor, although that’s basically what you have to do with them. Mats go far beyond that and offer a variety of benefits to your business.

Cleaner Floors and Facilities — First and foremost, floor mats can enhance the appearance of your business by keeping dirt, debris, and contaminants from entering the area. Commercial buildings and facilities often have a lot of foot traffic. When the weather is less than ideal, the potential for dirt, ice, rain, and snow to come into your business is inevitable. However, a commercial floor mat will easily trap and hold the liquid and dirt.

Great for Branding and Marketing — Most business owners and leaders are looking for ways to build the company brand, and it can be as easy as placing down a customized mat. Placed at the entrance of your facility, your company message is in front of every person who comes through your doors, every day. You can even use a customized mat to highlight a top-selling product or new service that you’re offering, encouraging more sales of those products.

Improve Safety for Employees and Visitors — One of the main causes of accidents in a business, especially manufacturing facilities, are slip and fall incidents. The last thing you want is an injury that could’ve been avoided by putting down a customized floor mat. Properly placed mats can reduce work-related injury and liability claims, which when you think about it, is still kind of exciting.

Increase Employee Productivity — Tired and sore employees aren’t quite as productive as they could be. By using quality anti-fatigue mats, you’re providing comfort and cushioning to reduce joint stress, prevent tired feet at workstations, and insulate against cold floors. Your employees and their no longer aching backs will thank you.

Let's watch.

Nairaland had to bring back this to front page top. Who is bank rolling this story. If in your wildest imagination you believe this is possible then you have malaria dream.

If there's an iota of truth then it will be because they want to cash out from Atiku. Every Igbo man knows that the opinion of traditional rulers mean little inan egalitarian society.

Good. Clergy, youths, celebrities etc are the new political apostles of change. The interesting thing is that no major politician has defected to Labour because everything about a typical Nigerian politician is self interest and Peter Obi is not willing to negotiate away the trust vested on him by Nigerian youths. I like his philosophy : I'd rather fail doing the right thing than win doing the wrong thing.

Don't be quick to condemn because its not your tribe. If you support injustice because it doesnt affect you, one day it will get to you and there would be no one to speak for you. Think well before you comment

Before you condemn the tweet by @UjuAnya you need to read this letter from Dr. Akanu Ibiam who hails from present day Ebonyi State. Its a long read and I have abridged it. You will understand why so many Igbos though successful still carry the wounds of the war in their heart more especially because till today, Nigeria as a state is still fighting a cold war with the Igbos.

Deeply hurt by Britain’s overwhelming support for Nigeria to crush the Republic of Biafra, Dr Ibiam renounced and returned to the British head of state the three insignias of knighthood that both she and her father, King George VI, had earlier conferred on the esteemed missionary physician for services to church and state.

Just slightly over forty-nine years ago to the day, in August 1967, the venerable Dr Akanu Ibiam, christian missionary physician, erudite theologian and statesperson who had worked for 30 years in the Church of Scotland/Presbyterian Church rural medical programmes across central and east regions of Biafra, wrote a 20-paragraph historic letter to Queen Elizabeth II of England.

THE LETTER(Abridged Below)

I am deeply and humbly constrained to present you with this letter. For many years, indeed throughout my mature life, I had been a proud but disinterested admirer of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and her peoples. The history of Your Majesty’s country is replete with heroism, discoveries which were near miracles, and institutions of higher learning of the most outstanding character and achievement. Britain, though insular and small in size and capacity, had centuries ago proved conclusively, to the world that for any community and nation to reach the acme of greatness and respectability, it is not quantity that counts but quality and the type of people who make up the nation.

...For these great honours and special recognitions, I am humbly grateful to Your Majesty and Your Majesty's Britannic Government. They are a happy reflection of the importance of Africa and her people before God and man. Howbeit, I must renounce all of them at this time. I do so to register the strongest protest at my command against Your Majesty's Government of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland for supplying military equipment and arms to Nigeria which has waged a senseless and futile war of aggression against my country, the Republic of Biafra. My objection and protest are directed solely and entirely to the British Government because I believe that the staunch British friends of Africa, particularly the CHURCH, and informed British public opinion will deplore this unkindly act of the British Government to the Republic of Biafra. With the highest sense of responsibility, therefore, and bearing clearly in my own mind the moral issues which are at stake, and my own stand thereat, I return the insignia and paraphernalia of my title to Your Majesty’s Britannic Government through the British Deputy High Commissioner who is resident here in Enugu - the capital city of the Republic of Biafra.

The people of Biafra are, therefore, fighting a war of LIBERATION AND SURVIVAL. We adamantly refuse to be colonized by the Hausa/Fulanis of Northern Nigeria or any other people in the world. Moreover it is an ardent desire of the Hausa/Fulani and Moslem Northern Nigeria to subjugate Biafra and kill Christianity in our country.

Your Majesty, the British officials in Nigeria are fully aware of all these. They know that we are injured and deeply grieved people and had been cruelly treated by our erstwhile fellow citizens of Federal Republic of Nigeria. The British officials not only knew the crux of the matter, but they also encouraged Northern Nigeria to carry out and execute their nefarious plan against us. They are angry with Biafra because Biafra categorically refused to remain as part of the Nigeria federation and political unit only to be trampled upon, discriminated against and hated, ruthlessly exploited and denied her rights and privileges, and slaughtered whenever it suited the whims and caprices of the favoured people of Northern Nigeria. To add insult to injury, Your Majesty’s Britannic Government, instead of being neutral in our quarrels or finding ways and means to mediate and bring peace to the two countries, has now taken it upon herself to supply military aid to Nigeria to help them defeat and subjugate Biafra.

It is simply staggering for a Christian country like Britain to help a Moslem country militarily to crush another Christian country like Biafra. This is just too much for me, Your Gracious Majesty, this act of unfriendliness and treachery by the British Government towards the people of Republic of Biafra who, as Eastern Nigerians, had so much regard for Britain and British people.

In the circumstance, Your Majesty, I no longer wish to wear the garb of the British Knighthood. British fairplay, British justice, and the Englishman’s word of honour which Biafra loved so much and cherished have become meaningless to Biafrans in general and to me in particular. Christian Britain has shamelessly let down Christian Biafra.

I love the Republic of Biafra very dearly and pray that, by grace of God, she may remain and continue to grow and live and always act like a truly Christian country for all times.

I am, Your Majesty

Yours Most Respectfully,
(AKANU IBIAM)

When someone mentions the term “world’s deadliest animal” you probably start thinking of sharks, tigers, crocodiles and other fierce creatures.
Well, it may shock you to learn that it’s actually mosquitoes. Why? Well, it’s down to the harmful diseases that they are known to spread. Today the 20th of August is the Worlds Mosquito day. The Day was established in 1897 when the link between mosquitoes and malaria transmission was discovered by Sir Ronald Ross. The intent was to raise awareness about malaria and how it can be prevented as well as raise money to help find a cure.

There are so many interesting facts about mosquitoes that many of us dont know about. Here are 5 of them

1. Only female mosquitoes bite
This may surprise you and most people probably assume all mosquitoes bite, but no it is only the females that like to use us as a tasty snack.

2. Mosquitoes are the world’s deadliest animals
Mosquitoes cause more deaths than snakes, tigers, spiders, sharks and any other animal combined. A single malarial mosquito can infect more than 100 people, and according to WHO one African child dies every minute from malaria.

3. Mosquitoes love CO2
To be honest they have a bit of an addiction to it. Carbon dioxide is one of the main ways in which mosquitoes locate their next feast. They use a special organ called a maxillary palp to follow the smell of CO2 released from our breath. So they tend to buzz around our ears due to the carbon dioxide exhaled from our nose and mouth

4. It is their spit that is itchy
Most people have a natural immune response to the saliva mosquitoes use as an anticoagulant. This results in the release of histamines and the annoying itch

5. Mosquitoes are attracted more to women than men
Mosquitoes are attracted to women and especially pregnant women.. In a Lancet Study in 2000, scientists compared pregnant women with their non-pregnant counterparts and found that pregnant women attracted twice as many mosquitoes.

What to Consider when Choosing your Safety Rails or Raised Seat
Try to take all the factors into consideration when choosing a bathroom safety aid for your home.

Raised Seat or Safety Rail
Based on your needs, you’ll need to first decide between a raised seat or a safety rail. A raised toilet seat provides additional height whereas safety rails only provide leverage for sitting and standing. If you’re range of motion is limited, we recommend a raised toilet seat to minimize the distance you’ll need to bend.

Toilet Size & Shape
Make sure that the raised toilet seat or handrails that you choose will fit accordingly to the size and shape of your toilet bowl. The most common style is standard, which is round in shape and extends 28” out from the wall. Elongated-style seats are more oval in shape and extend 31” from the wall.

Safety Rails
Safety rails are a reliable way to get extra support when getting on and off the toilet, offering a firm grip and sturdy design. Ours are made of lightweight and durable aluminum, which prevents rusting in moist bathroom environments. They are a good option for many bathrooms, though they may not always be practical due to their size. If you already have wall-mounted grab bars, or aren’t concerned about balance, choosing an option without handrails might make more sense.

The toilet seat riser with arms, raised toilet seat, compact toilet rail, and stand alone toilet rail, all include foam padding to ensure a secure grip. Our toilet safety frame uses textured plastic handles, which help prevent slipping, are easy to clean, and ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip.

For added comfort add this toilet seat cushion!

Added Height
All of our seat risers add extra height to the toilet, making transfers on and off much easier, especially for those with weak knees or limited range of motion. Our toilet seat riser with arms and standard toilet seat riser add 3.5” while our raised toilet seat adds a full 5”.

Weight Capacity
It’s important to get a bathroom safety aid that easily supports your weight, to ensure the safety and stability. Check the weight capacity of each of our bathroom aids in the chart above.

Stability
While all our safety rails and toilet seats provide stable support, some designs are more heavy duty than others. Our newest safety rail design features an added horizontal support bar to eliminate any wobble during use. A few other helpful stability tips include:

Handrails provide even more stability
Seats and rails that bolt to the toilet seat offer the most stability
While the standalone rail provides ample support, it’s important the user is mobile enough to operate without knocking out of place or tipping.
Both our toilet safety rail and toilet safety frame legs suction to the ground for additional stability and won’t get knocked out of place.
