“Them no wan pay money” – Tacha opens up on experience with BBNaija following her absence from show.


Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha, has finally opened up about her reason for not joining the All-stars edition.

In her Twitter conversation with Toke Makinwa and Mike Edwards, the former housemate shared what happened between herself and BBNaija management.

She claimed that they refused to pay her to appear on the show, stating that her price had already gone up than the usual.

In her words: “Dem no won pay money nau! Price went up”, he wrote.

The All-stars show, which will run for 70 days until October 1, will see the winner walk away with grand prize of N120 million.

This edition of the reality TV show tagged, “Second Chance” is expected to be an all-star affair featuring former housemates from the previous seven seasons.

Touching on its chosen theme for the 2023 edition, the organisers explained they decided to give another chance to previous housemates who didn’t get the opportunity to fully showcase their talents on the show, the first time.

Whitemoney, a BBNaija All Stars housemate, sparked outrage online after he was seen carrying a ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag on his head as housemates moved their belongings into the home.

The winner of the ‘Shine-Ya-Eye’ season 6 BBNaija edition was among the ‘already-made’ housemates admitted into the house on Sunday, July 23rd to compete for the N120M grand prize.

Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, took a risk by shooting his shot at popular socialite Papaya Ex and professing admiration for her beauty and attractive shape.

On Saturday, July 22, Papaya Ex took to Instagram to share a recent and humorous voice note she received from the Zazuu Crooner via her Instagram DM.

Portable complimented Papaya Ex’s beauty and attractive physique in the voice note after viewing her recent Instagram photos.

The musician even proposed marriage to her, asking her to be his sixth wife and offered her 30% of his assets as part of the deal.

Portable then advised the brand influencer not to marry a poor man, according to him, if she did, she would offend herself .

He said in parts;

“Be my sixth wife and get 30% of my properties, you will offend yourself if you marry poor man”

Papaya Ex found his last statement amusing, and in response, she concurred with him while subtly suggesting that she is not prepared to marry a poor man.

The new parents recently held a naming ceremony for their newborn son, and the actress spoke on her relationship with the Music star.

Nigerian singer Abdulsalam Suliyat Modasola better known as Liya who just left Davido record label, DMW has got social media abuzz as she decided to call out the label in her new song.

Liya, the former first lady of DMW following her exit from the label released a new song dubbed “I’m done” and by extension speaks about artistes sleeping with her in the record label.

Recall that Liya made headlines in 2020 after she was signed to Davido record label Davido Music Worldwide, DMW.

However, Liya in response to a question from a follower via her Instastory revealed that she is no longer signed to DMW.

Speaking in Yoruba, Liya said; “Eyin melo gan lefe bamisun” meaning “How many of you actually want to sleep with me.”

As expected, the music video has stirred mixed reactions online, while some claimed that she is actually talking about Davido, Peruzzi and other artistes in the label, others said Davido might not be among the artistes she talking about on the label before she left.

I Want To Make Afrobeats Popular In German-Speaking Region – Singer, Rose May Alaba


Rose May Alaba, the Austrian-Nigerian singer, has said her mission is to make the west African music genre, afrobeats popular in German-speaking region.

Rose May, who is a sister to Real Madrid footballer, David Alaba, made this known in a recent interview with Ameyaw TV.

The ‘Ibadi’ crooner said she is the afrobeats artist in Austria.

She said, “I was born and raised in Austria. It’s a very small country. I’m the only afrobeats artiste who brings that music [afrobeats] to this country.

So, I feel like it is my mission to make afrobeats more known in the German-speaking region.”

Rose May said she is happy that Nigerians are supporting, adding that she would continue to represent her African roots.

Nigerian Nollywood actresses, Annie Idibia and Nancy Iheme have supported Angela Okorie.

The actresses showed solidarity with  Angela, one of their colleagues, who decided to go all out against other colleagues that she referred to as frenemies.

In a series of videos, Okorie, who doubles as actress and singer, claimed that one of her colleagues and former friend, Uche Elendu, had recorded her in her low state after an assassination attempt on her life in 2019.

In her claims, Okorie said, “Everybody knows that I don’t drag people but when they concoct lies against me, I have to defend myself. Uche Elendu came to my house after I was shot at and saw me in a bad state where they were removing gun pellets from my face and she made a video of the process only to go and share the video with a blogger, who concocted lies about my person saying I slept with a married man and married woman and that was why they were after me.”

Continuing, she said, “90% of my friends and none of them will tell you I snatched their husband because I am not on that level and I choose my level. I was practically trying to survive. I was getting four injections everyday just to revive me and stabilise me, I took over 200 injection and you had the effrontery to send those videos to a blogger who concocted the story that I slept with someone’s husband, which you know it’s a lie and none of my friends or people I know that are married and none of them will ever tell you that I did something like that or drag me.”

In another video, Okorie claimed that another colleague, Anita, mocked her situation claiming it was karma and she dared her to come out and explain how karma was working in her plight.

“I am not part of them, I am not part of what they do but my anger is why would you want to do that to me. Anita was saying it was karma but karma for what? Have I done anything bad to you, come out and tell the world what I have done and why you all gang up against me.

“The point is why were they trying to assassinate my character, I was coming back from a show and was going back home at Orile and they shot me, about 10 people at Orile and my friend came and was videoing me at home when she saw I was at home and removing pellets and she sent to bloggers, who claimed I was sleeping with a married man and a married woman and those are the people trying to kill me but I ask again, why are they trying to assasinate my character so bad?”
