A group has accused Oshiomhole of refusing to recognize the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Usani, as the governorship candidate of Cross River.

Factional group of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday took to the streets of Calabar, the Cross River State capital, demanding for the resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

The group accused Oshiomhole of refusing to recognize the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Usani, as the governorship candidate of the party in the state, despite a court order to that effect.

Federal Commissioner of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Cross River State, Mr Sylvester Nsa, regretted the action of the National Chairman, saying, “If he continues, he would destroy the party”.

Nsa who was speaking on behalf of the protesters said, “The people of APC in Cross River have gone out to protest against impunity, injustice and total and blatant refusal to respect court ruling by the national chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole.

“His attitude in recent times has made us to understand that Oyegun, the former chairman, was a saint and angel. Therefore, the people of Cross River State are angry that Oshiomhole has brought impunity in Cross River State and not only in the state, but the action of Adams Oshiomhole will also destroy APC in Nigeria.

“The people of APC across the country, rise up and tell Oshiomhole that he cannot destroy APC, therefore in Cross River State, Usani is right. Usani is the answer. No Usani no election. We want the whole country to know that Usani built the party. He nurtured the party. He is the leader of the party. He stands to protect the interest of the common men and that is why, the people of APC in Cross River have stood their grounds that without Usani, there is no APC in the state.

“I stand here as one of the leaders in the party in the state to declare that Adams Oshiomole should be called to order.

The Ogun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dapo Abiodun, has spoken on his face-off with Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

He made salient revelations in a video while addressing some party leaders and supporters in the state.

The oil mogul, and a friend of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, who spoke in Yoruba, described Amosun as a betrayer, who has failed to appreciate all he did for him.

Abiodun recalled that after he lost the 2015 Ogun East senatorial election to Senator Buruji Kashamu of the PDP, Amosun promised that he would nominate him for a ministerial slot to compensate him for his contributions to federal and state campaigns.


His words: “Before the campaign, I facilitated electricity for some areas in Ogun waterside. I bought buses for traditional rulers, Christian and Muslim leaders. You would think I was running for governor.

“But I did this because party members were not receiving support; they were getting tired and needed encouragement. As it happened, we lost. Everyone was surprised; we worked hard, we spent money.

“We went to the Tribunal and won but Kashamu went to see them at the top. So we lost the appeal. Amosun made no contribution; never showed care or concern while we were struggling to win back my mandate.

“After that, Amosun told me not to worry that I will be the minister from Ogun state. It later became clear that he simply made that comment just to send me away.

“At this time, his (governorship) election was two weeks away. I asked him what he would give House of Assembly candidates to assist their campaigns as well as to help him mobilize the grassroots for victory. We have 11 Assembly positions in my district (Ogun East).

“Amosun replied that he would send them N1million each. I protested. I told him that would not achieve anything but he didn’t listen. I personally gave those 11 candidates N10million each.

“Then I, despite losing my own election, I personally gave Amosun $1million which was N220m then. We were up against a powerful PDP and I didn’t want APC to be disgraced.

“Amosun won election and abandoned me. He did not offer me any slot in his government. He didn’t even say ‘Dapo, bring sweeper or cleaners for employment’. He made someone else (Kemi Adeosun) the minister.

“Recently, he begged me that I should come and take senatorial ticket. I said but he knows I have governorship ambition. I then asked who he had in mind to succeed him. Amosun said he was still thinking but that he wants to bring someone from CBN.

“I asked why would he do that. You want to bring someone who doesn’t even know party people to lead them? He is fighting me now because I want to be governor.”

The APC National Working Committee (NWC), last week, affirmed Abiodun as the winner of the Ogun governorship primaries.

Ghanaian Dancehal artiste Shatta Wale says he will not pay any Ghanaian video director to shoot his music videos.
According to him, their works will not take him beyond the shores of the country.

‘If you shoot a video in Ghana the video will only be shown in Ghana, they are very good but where are their videos getting us to, they are not helping us and they don’t like travelling”.


He made this revelation in an interview with Arnold Elavanyo on vibes in 5.

Here are 18 signs yours is a situation, not a relationship, and that it’s going nowhere.

1. THEY ARE TOO BUSY TO GIVE YOU TIME

Time, when once given, cannot be taken back. Partners always give each other time in a relationship, a way of showing their care and love for each other. If your partner tells you they are too busy and will not be able to spare a couple of hours to come home and have lunch with you – they’ve already lost the care card.
You get all excited to talk to them after spending all day at work. You approach them. They’re always the first one to leave, making up otherwise lame excuses to get away from you – like being called by a friend to help them out with their car, even though you know they don’t have such close friends. Now combine these two concepts together: wanting to get away from you and caring. Do they bode well together for a relationship? They go days without talking to you, despite telling you they’d be there for you…not how it goes in a relationship where your partner truly cares.

2. THEY ARE INDECISIVE

So they keep playing the cat and mouse game – just when you give up, they are all into the relationship; when you call it quits, they start thinking of getting back together. Stop letting them take such grave advantage of you and let them know relationships are not determined by such cliché aspects like coming and going when one wants to.
You get to have a say in it too. If they cannot accept this fact, then it is you who needs to leave for sure because clearly, whether you leave or stay is of no such concern to them.
There might be occasions you’ll doubt your partner or your relationship’s worth. When your partner doesn’t care about it enough, they won’t do anything to assure you everything’s good if they’re indecisive themselves. Don’t waste yourself for such a relationship.

3. THEY MAKE THEMSELVES THE FOCUS OF ATTENTION

While you make sure your partner’s needs and desires etc. are met with accordingly, it leaves little or no room for you and all that you do for them in their ‘me-world’. This is a major sign that they do not care about you nor the relationship to make it a part of their happiness. Even if you did not do something grand for them, they would still take your hand and have you walk with them on every path of life. If they stop caring, they won’t even bother, as simple as that.

4. THEY PUT THE BLAME ON YOU

Even when it is not your fault, you partner blames you for little things and big things in everyday life. They do not care enough about the healthy course your relationship can and should take and so, putting blames on you becomes habitual to them because holding someone else accountable for their own actions is easier to fulfil, is it not?
If they truly cared about you or your relationship, they would take the blame and not the other way around. It is just one of those small things we do in the name of love and friendship.
You two have a fight. One leaves. The other sits there wondering the why and how of it all. You’d expect them to have the decency to come to you and confront you about what happened, to clear things out. Seems like you had a blindfold on; for they never do, just blame you for everything without clearing things first. Maybe you aren’t in a position to; there can be many reasons. But if they really cared about the relationship, wouldn’t they come and sit with you and talk things out? The matter speaks for itself.

5. THEY TREAT YOU ARROGANTLY

There is nothing cool about treating others below you so if your partner acts in such a way where they use their high rank, charm or power etc to bring you down in any way then it is a sure sign they do not care enough to protect your feelings.
You know that homily feeling you get when you’re with your significant other? That feeling of security and stability’s among the first bricks to put in any relationship. When that feeling becomes dormant, either your partner is doing something less than what they did before or your relationship has simply lost that spark it once had, when everything seemed all rainbows and sunshine. Your time would be utterly wasted by investing your all in something that doesn’t even make you feel secure anymore. It’ll come down like a house of cards.

6. BEING DISRESPECTFUL WAY TOO MUCH

The things that are important to you and hold some special value to you ought to be respected and cared for by those around you too, those that truly care about you. What makes you happy would them happy.
But if your partner shows disrespect for the things that matter to you – whether it be religious beliefs or even a small pendant a close friend gifted to you and which you like a lot – then you do not need to stay with such a person who cannot treat the things you so value with equal respect.

7. THEY ARE NON-SUPPORTIVE

There is no good in being with someone who does not have your back. Support to a relationship is what water is to plants; it makes the other grow. So if your shows lack of support in your, may it be moral, social, financial or personal, it is a major sign they have stopped caring for you and your relationship at that level.
Support is a whole lot more than saying things the same things you are saying, going to the same places as you go to and hanging out with the same group of people you hang out with. Its roots lie deeper than such mediocre things.
Whether it’s the things they do or don’t, what they say or don’t say – if your partner doesn’t care about leading you towards good things in life instead leaving you stranded despite all their promises to be your guiding light, they’ve lost interest in the relationship and you.

8. THEY TREAT YOU LIKE AN OUTSIDER

If you are way ahead into your relationship yet you still have not met their parents or gotten to know if they have any siblings and other such personal matters, just take it as a sign they are not that serious about the relationship or taking it to that level. You are with them yet they make you feel like an outsider. It is a fake concept you are following blindly and so, you need to stop and set your priorities straight. You make all the effort, answer every question, clear doubts, hold on to the good stuff while they do nothing – it shows you’re giving them your all but getting nothing. Rights Advicate and constitutional lawyer, Dr. Mike Ozekhome (SAN), has predicted danger ahead of the 2019 election following Sunday’s declaration of Osun State governorship election as inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Another minister in President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet has been found to have skipped the mandatory NYSC, an offence that may see him lose his position and earn him jail term, an online news medium reports.

The minister failed to participate in the NYSC scheme despite graduating from the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) at age 25.

In what seems controversial, one of Nigerian Senator Ben Murray Bruce added to the issue blaming Ministers of high profile not going for the mandatory NYSC but millions of youths are involved.

According to the senator, he tweeted: 'As I am reading the story on @PremiumTimesng about another @MBuhari minister who did not serve, I am struck by the sheer number of members of this administration who have high profile, highly paid jobs without serving, yet millions of youths are unemployed despite serving Nigeria'.

Manchester United will be missing five players for Saturday’s Premier League home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Diogo Dalot to be rested, Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera not fully fit and Nemanja Matic and Marcus Rashford suspended.

Dalot, who was signed from Porto in the closed season, impressed on his United debut in their 3-0 Champions League win over Switzerland’s Young Boys on Wednesday, but manager Jose Mourinho intends to ease the fullback into the side.

The Portuguese youngster joined United while he was still recovering from a knee injury and Mourinho intends to give him his next run out in the League Cup against Derby County on Tuesday.

“I want him in this process of adaption to play totally fresh, so he’s not playing tomorrow, he plays on Tuesday again,” Mourinho told reporters on Friday.

“To play for Manchester United is difficult enough for a kid of 19 years old coming from another country and after an important injury and surgery… he doesn’t need to face more difficulties from the accumulation of matches.”


United came through their midweek European encounter on an artificial pitch relatively unscathed and Mourinho will be able to field a strong starting XI against Wolves, who are a place and a point below his team in the standings.

“No injuries from the match, small things but nothing important,” Mourinho added. “Marcos Rojo is the one that is still not training with the team and Ander Herrera is not ready to play but is in the final phase of his recovery process.

“(Phil) Jones is okay now, so it’s Rashford and Matic with suspension, the ones that are not available.”

United have recovered well after hitting a rough patch in August when they were beaten twice in succession in the league, and have won three matches in a row in all competitions this month.

The All Progressives Congress’ (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) says the party’s presidential primary will hold on Sept. 25 as against Sept. 20 earlier announced.
